Eddie V's - Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
Came for Valentine’s Day, and the food is normally great. This time however it was a little lacking, especially the Cesar salad... was incredibly watery and didn’t have much taste, the steak was a little tough and fatty considering having ordered a MR filet. Other than that the experience was great, service was on point.
The food was good as always, but for the first time our table service was very poor. 15 minutes to get a drinks from the bar. My wine arrived almost immediately but my wife’s drink took an additional 15 minutes. Asked for more peppercorn sauce and it arrived at my table 20 minutes later as I was putting the last bite of steak in my mouth. We ordered bananas foster for dessert and asked to sub vanilla ice cream for butter pecan. Dessert came out with wrong ice cream. Normally have great service but this experience feel WAY short of fine dining. Waiter did comp drink and dessert but hard to recover from bad service out of the gate.
We arrived a little early for our anniversary dinner at EddyVs. Greeted promptly and invited to our table covered with pretty rose petals. Our waiter Jeremy was great, pleasant and did everything he could to add to the nice experience of the evening. Our food was excellent, starting with the bread, then the Calamari appetizer. For or main dish we ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and crab meat dressed Jumbo Shrimp and a side of Lobster mashed potatoes. Everything was fresh nicely presented and came out hot. The piece de resistance our complimentary anniversary dessert was a dark chocolate toffee smore which was out of this world. We drove in from Midland for the weekend to celebrate this evening and Valentines, so glad I remembered to book Eddy Vs.
Our Lobsters arrived half cooked. The vegetables were over cooked and soggy. The oysters and cheddar potatoes were great. The service was initially very slow but our waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere was festive and great for a Saturday night.
This was one of many times we have been to Eddie v's and the first time our dinner was horrible and half cooked. Don't understand what happen but the manager took care of our cocktails as we feasted on a bowl of potatoes for dinner. This not the norm for such a wonderful place. Unfortunately this night was one of our worst dinning experiences in the metro-plex. We will be back and hope they get it back on track..
My sister drove in from West TX, and I from Houston to meet our parents and other sister in Fort Worth. This was our Christmas dinner since December was a busy month for all of us. I’ve dined at the Houston EV’s many many times and this one was no different. The food was amazing as always, especially the crab cakes, crab fried rice, truffle Mac and the Bananas Foster cake. Our waiter Cody along with the support staff, provided flawless service. We’ll definitely return again soon.
We go to Eddie V’s happy hour ever couple months and for special occasions. Tonight it was to celebrate my husband’s birthday. And once again we had fantastic service and food. We love sitting in the V lounge and ordering their calamari and Fuji apple salad with some martinis. Normally for birthdays, we eat in the main dining room, but just decided to keep it lighter tonight. Even with that they gave him a special birthday dessert. Hands-down it’s one of the best places in Fort Worth.
We had a wonderful dinner. Our food was delicious and Coleman, our server, did an excellent job. There were four of us. We started with oysters, then bisque and the Fuji salad prior to entries of sole and halibut. Everything was served in a timely manner and cooked correctly. Dessert included the Godiva chocolate and the apple cobbler along with coffee. It was our son’s birthday and the restaurant comped his dessert which was very good of then to do.
A good dining experience with delicious food and wine. A horrible introduction by the maitre d'.
We arrived 5 minutes before our special occasion reservation and was told we would be addressed closer to out seating time as we were early. After 20 minutes I had to approach her and request an update and we were seated a few minutes later. Not what I expect from a restaurant of this caliber.
We decided to eat at Eddie V's last-minute when our go-to steakhouse was booked. So glad we gave it a try! The food was flawless and the service was wonderful. Our only (minor) complaints are that we weren't seated until 35 minutes after our reservation time, and that it was uncomfortably hot in the dining room. We felt terrible for the wait staff - they must have been dying. We felt the need to rush our meal at the end because it was so hot. We'll definitely be back, dressed in lighter layers.
