The food was amazing - as it usually is. We had a few service issues which were a little out of the ordinary. We never received the oysters that were ordered and we also did not get back the half of the meal we passed on to be wrapped up to take home.
Felt rushed to order and finish and vacate the table. Drinks were good. Filet was very over cooked and tough. The manager came by with the evil eye two or three times after we finished our meal while we were enjoying our port and we felt as if we should leave.
The meal was below what I would have expected. We have been here multiple times - maybe it was just a bad night.
Marvelous food and service but I always expect it and they surpass it every time!!!
Perfection! Harmony was such a welcome to our dining experience.
The food was great and the service was excellent. I enjoy going to Eddie V's.
I had a late night reservation for dinner to celebrate my sister’s play opening and was told the kitchen was closed when I arrived. The hostess did not even try to accommodate us even though I had a valid reservation. I was so happy that the manager stepped in and made sure we were taken care of in the bar area. Food and service was excellent as always.
Great Food, Great Service, Great Drinks, Convenient Location
We came back on Sunday after a great birthday dinner on the prior Monday. Our Server, Lanie, was terrific. We came back to see Chris, who was the person who invited us back for Sunday. One tiny thing that needs work ... There was an empty table where Servers would ‘Park’ dishes until a Busser came to get the dishes. That is sloppy and one of our guests commented on how unattractive this appears in such a beautiful room. May we suggest a better clearing station as opposed to an empty table. Even when the Busser picked up the dirty dishes, the debris on the table in the middle of the room was glaring. The music was excellent and food was AWESOME!
My favorite restaurant in Dallas. The quality is consistent. I would highly recommend.
First class service! Great food!
Waiter was poor, we were overcharged. Been many times and now this.
This was our first visit to Eddie V's. My partner & I are musicians, and had heard about the great jazz/entertainment here. So decided to celebrate my birthday with dinner & music. This was a total home-run, right down to a wonderful birthday card signed by the entire staff on duty that evening! Food was out of this world - in fact, we were so full after each having an app & soup/salad, that we never made it to the main course! (OK we did have dessert - and they were outstanding!). We will definitely add Eddie V's to our list of great dining experiences!
Consistently good either in Austin or Dallas. Service is prompt and attentions, food quality is great, both seafood (sea bass HK style) or filets. Crab Rice’s is a must as well as Maryland crab cakes — best I ever had!
Dinner was fantastic! Our birthday celebration was made very special by Raymond. Chris also came by to share his well wishes. Everything was perfect and we are coming back on Sunday to celebrate another event. Thanks!
Best crabcake ever! Lobster tacos incredible. Fiji Apple Salad is my favorite. Bananas Foster Butter Cake an absolute must on every visit!
Why did I not get open table points for this reservation when I spent over $500 for the meal?
Excellent. In my top 5 places to dine in Dallas.
We went early, at 5:30pm, to avoid the crowds. The restaurant had our table ready and the wait staff addressed us by name. The service and food were both amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. But, they need to do so serious work on their food quality. My wife’s salmon was a cheap end cut that was super thin and tasteless. My sea bass was mediocre at best. Other sea food restaurants nearby are much better, so we won’t be returning to Eddie V’s in Dallas.
Wonderful piano bar scene Samej and Miles are very attentive and friendly my husband and I went for an anniversary and a random date...live music was amazing
Our party of 4 had wonderful service, a great meal and a great bottle of wine. We will be back.
We love Eddie V’s and go whenever we are in Dallas the east coast oysters were phenomenal along with our main course are steaks were a perfect medium rare plus, the lobster and crab melted in our mouth, and the sides of broccolini and au gratin potatoes topped the meal off. Plus our waitress was amazing we had a great time talking with her and she helped us pick new cocktails (the hope diamond and sparkling ruby are definitely our new favorites) and when it comes to dessert nothing tops the bananas foster.
We were disappointed. The portions were so tiny and we did not feel the customer service we were expecting with all the great ratings. I guess everyone has a bad night on occassion.
Wonderful night! We were set up in a private dining area and they head rose petals on the table for my wifes 35th birthday. The food and drinks were wonderful and the staff was attentive.
Top notch. Favorite restaurant in Dallas. Bone in filet was the best I've ever had. Great oysters and shrimp. Nice wine selection.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. They treated me like a king for my birthday celebration.
The best restaurant in Dallas! You will not find better service or food anywhere. Highly recommend the crab cake and bone-in ribeye, which was grilled to absolute perfection. The sides were excellent and not overcooked. Cannot wait to see James and his crew again soon.
Too loud to enjoy the meal
The dining experience is always excellent at Eddie V's. Great service and great food. The staff is very professional and really enhances the dining experience! I highly recommend!!
My husband and I came to Dallas for a weekend getaway and were looking for a spot to have romantic dinner and great seafood. We based our choice on reviews left by other people, and we were definitely glad we did! We started with a half dozen New England oysters. The vinaigrette that came with them paired perfectly with the brine. I ordered the special: soft shell crab with a side of bacon balsamic Brussels sprouts. My husband ordered the redfish with a side of crab fried rice. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We shared a bottle of delicious Capture Sauvignon Blanc which was recommended by our waitress. The wait staff were very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients. Overall we had a wonderful experience. The food, service, and ambiance are top notch! We will absolutely return.
Great treatment by all
Took way too long. Reservation at 6:30 didn’t get food until 8:00. Sold out of lobster
My first time and I was looking forward to the evening. Unfortunately, the food just isn't very good here. And the marginal food was the highlight of the night. We waited an hour and 45 minutes before we even got our main course. 15-20 before bread. 20 more before soup. Another hour for the dinners. Etc. Needless to say it was a long night. We went on Mother's Day, but I can't imagine that it was any busier than a normal Saturday night rush. We got dessert paid for by the manager (without even complaining), so I do have to tip my hat about that. Unfortunately it was bad food, bad kitchen, bad service.
The food and service were beyond amazing as it was Mother's Day and you were slammed!! We all loved everything that we had and thank you for an amazing time. I will say I did state this was a good place to go for a date or special occasion as the prices are a little high.
Amazing food not like any other. With the service they give you feels like they really care about there business.
They were obviously not prepared for the Mother’s Day crowd or overbooked everyone. Made a reservation for 2:30 and finally got seated at 3:00. Ordered at 3:20 and still no main course served at 4:30 so we asked for the check for the appetizer and left.
