Thoroughly enjoyed our evening celebrating our anniversary.
I love Eddie V’s! Always a good experience! As soon as I walked in the door, the staff was pleasant and attentive. The food was deliciously delightful!
Great food and impeccable service!
My husband and I went on Thanksgiving. The journey from the hostess stand to the table, was very lively. Krista was our server and she was absolutely delightful and gracious. We will be sure to ask for her on our next visit. The food was mouthwateringly flavorful and we couldn’t wait for the next delicious bite. We anticipated this meal all week and it exceeded our expectations! Thank you for making our Thanksgiving meal so wonderful!
They made our holiday dinner special. From the staff to the food, everything was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised they had not overbooked themselves, so we felt welcome to sip our wine and enjoy coffee with our dessert without feeling rushed.
My cousin and I went to Eddie V’s for Thanksgiving dinner, and our overall experience was quite good. The service was great, although our wait person (male) didn’t quite fit the profile of professional, attentive service displayed by others with whom we interacted. The food was very good but not outstanding, something I attribute to the day—high volume, fixed menu.
I would go back, expecting excellent food, great ambiance, and impeccable service.
Been coming here for years, always a great time.
It was fantastic, just as we’d expect it to be. All 5 of us orders steak and each piece was to our specifications perfectly. They melted in our mouths. We celebrated our daughter’s 27th birthday. It was the WOW factor. Simone was our server and took the best care of us. She was so funny, and was excellent with customers.
Adriano, our server, was spectacular. The food was great enhanced by the top-notch service!!!
Premier service from entry to exit. Brooke was excellent service provider! The selections and food quality is "off the chart!"
It's a great place for a date night or just connecting with friends. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun.
The staff was great and we enjoyed talking with the manager Cheri.
We celebrated my Mom’s birthday. It was a party of six and they treated our party well. Two members of our party were running behind schedule and our server (Crystal) never made us feel rushed to order. We were able to place our order at the same time and eat together. It was perfect!! The food and service are always worth it at Eddie V’s.
This is my favorite seafood restaurant in Dallas. Last night the service wasn’t quite as good as usual.
Best steak in Dallas! Love the amazing crab cake appetizer as well. Just delicious all around. Some of my favorite Mac and cheese in the city.
Everything that touched our table was excellent! Perfect steak and lobster accompanied with a stellar martini.
Food and service was excellent! Provided us with a complimentary birthday dessert. What a nice touch.
Service was amazing. Food and presentation Excellent.
Our evening exceeded the expectation and everything was awesome. I enjoyed the entire experience as well as the vibe especially being on a Wednesday night. Far better than my Nick & Sam's visit. Keep up the good work staff & owners of Eddie V's. 💯
The restaurant is old, out of touch with its location on Oak Lawn, and just cheap interior. Felt out of place like a dive steak house.
Started off very rocky. We had not dined there in a while and were looking forward to it. We checked in for our 6:30 reservation and were asked to have a seat. We waited about 15 minutes while several other groups arriving after us were taken to their tables. I asked how much longer before we were seated. At that time she realized she “forgot” us. We were taken to our table. We were brought water and bread. 15 minutes later I flagged down a waiter and asked if he could send our waiter. He replied, I will be right back. He came back promptly and apologized; no one informed him we were his table. He immediately asked if we wanted a cocktail and took our drink orders. Our service after that point was great. The food was good and on point. Disappointing start pulled out by Nolan our waiter and Jose our “bread guy”.
Although our waitress was incredible and food was to die for - especially the lobster mashed potatoes - I’m not sure that we would dine at this location again. Upon arriving for our bar/lounge reservation we checked the bar and could not find two available seats together, so we asked to be seated. There was no urgency - others were seated before us and a phone call was answered. Once we were seated, we were asked by the hostess if we were married, to which we replied that we were engaged. She then proceeded to tell us that she wasn’t supposed to seat us at all and my fiancé would need to remove his ball cap, which he did. As we looked around we noticed two other lounge patrons in ball caps. Perhaps they were asked to take them off and put them back on. But then another couple was seated at a table nearby and the gentleman was not asked to remove his ball cap. At the end of the evening I approached the hostess to let her know that we understand that there’s a dress code, but we felt singled out and that they could have asked my fiancé before seating us to remove his ball cap. She did not apologize, but rather reiterated that she shouldn’t have seated us in the first place. After spending nearly $500 on dinner, her attitude towards how she made us feel about the situation was not appreciated. While speaking to her, another host or possibly manager tried to ask about the situation and she tried to tell him it was handled when it was not.
From the door to table our service was above standard. I literally had nothing to remotely complain about. Everything happened on time with my trying to flag down our server. Thanks for an awesome experience.
Went early at 545 with son that had Achilles’ tendon surgery and was in shorts . Place was empty. Was rudely declined service. My wife and I were nicely dressed . Went to Al Biernat’s Great food and Service There
The food and service were both excellent!
There was a 20 minute wait to be seated. The hostess said some tables took longer than expected and it impacted the entire night’s schedule.
We ordered the lobster tacos and they were amazing! Our server was also incredible. She had a wonderful personality.
That’s where the praise stops. The lobster tail was OK. The steak was undercooked and bland. We sent it back and they put it back on the grill, which made the outside charred and the inside still blood red. The server noticed this and replaced it with an additional lobster tail. But, by then you’ve already been eating bread, sides, appetizers, bits of both or the poor steak, etc., so the mood was ruined.
I believe there was a change in staff last night. I have heard fabulous things about this restaurant and there is NO way that other people were eating the same steak and lobster we had.
Fabulous good and wonderful service
Wonderful experience-delicious food and amazing service!!
Just a great, consistent experience. The service is top notch and the food is delicious. It's not groundbreaking cuisine, but it's also not stressfully elaborate or stuffy. Will happily frequent regularly.
Jazz on Friday nights is a nice touch.
Our father took us out to dinner. The host stand and the valet were very welcoming and pleasant. We had a lovely booth in the main dining room. The smoky old-fashioned was delicious, however, the theatrics of smoking the glass at the table and pouring the bourbon was a little extra. My father was disappointed they didn't carry southern comfort as this was his favorite drink. The food was delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the sea bass, light and tender. The waiter was very pleasant. We were disappointed that they allowed two diners in the next booth with athletic clothes and baseball caps who kept them on. I would be fine if they enforced their own dress code- these bumpkins took away from the mood of the restaurant. Otherwise, we had a wonderful experience.
Great meal with a fantastic staff.
Sort of a last-minute dinner plan, and once again, Eddie V's did not disappoint. There was only a small mis-fire with my entre (they delivered the wrong thing). But they quickly made it right, and offered to box up the other meal & let me take it home. Bravo!
Can’t wait for Live music, always a pleasure to visit
5 year wedding anniversary
Kevin was great. Service and food were great. Highly recommend to ask for Kevin if you go to EV.
Waiter was great but food took really long time. Steak ordered medium well but came medium. Many wine options not available. This place not the same. Not sure what happened.
Enjoyed our Anniversary dinner at Eddie V's Sat evening. The food was terrific. We started with the Lobster tacos and had Sole and Sea Bass for our entries. Our server, Laci did an outstanding job all evening.
This place is a terrific place to enjoy a great meal with outstanding service.
Celebrating the soon to be birth of our daughter at an amazing location!
