Food was phenomenal. I recommend the crab fried rice and yellowtail sashimi to start - followed up by a New York strip of course with a nice bottle of red. You won’t be disappointed.

We’ve been fans of EddieV’s since we were introduced to the Austin original. Both locations here in Houston have been exemplary and as such we and loved ones have celebrated several important events at them. Last night, for Thanksgiving we were delighted to go there since we opted to forego the labor intensive home prep of that feast. Eddie V’s was once again an excellent choice for a special evening. Much of our experience was just as excellent: service, ambiance, and of course our meal. The crab cake wonderful as always, as was the special of redfish in brown butter with a generous portion of crab on top. A couple minor hiccups still will not deter us from returning. The lobster bisque was just shy of delicious. Rich, but lacking the aromatics a bit more sherry would have provided. And WHAT is that butter served with tuscan bread? Instead of buttery or sweetened, it was so salty and odd tasting we had to ask for real butter. Finally, the goat cheese salad with “roasted” mushrooms was extremely unappetizing. The large portion of limp, bottled mushroom slices dumped on top were flavorless, cold and had the appearance of a handfull of dead snails invading my salad. The whipped goat cheese was tasty tho. The waiter vowed to remove it from the check but failed to do so. However I hope management addresses these concerns as Eddie V’s deserves its reputation and I would hate for these small missteps to cause anyone second thoughts.

An interesting find near our hotel The Moran CityCentre. Overall the food quality was pretty good. We ordered a dozen oysters (half Gulf Coast half Eest Coast), and they were very fresh. The tuna tartare for appetizer was fresh and delicious with the crispy crackers. The wedge salad was tasty and very refreshing. Entrees, we got the scallops and 18oz steak. Both were delicious. Service was fine and courteous.

Dinner was excellent and the service was superb. Our waiter, Victor, was very attentive and went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner a fantastic experience. The manager was also very accommodating and made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Always eat here. It is fantastic. No comparison. My bone in New York strip was ordered, medium rare. It was the most heavenly cut I have ever had in my life. I think I had the truffle mac & cheese. Another slam dunk successful move on my part. We had a late start and I had an early morning so I did not have any alcohol. However, next time I will find a nice martini to start with and follow up with a really nice bottle of red wine. The occasion was catching up with an old high school friend from 45 years ago.

Th best steakhouse in Houston. Great service and very tasty food. Salad, steaks, au gratin potatoes, and the best dessert in the city: Bananas Foster Butter Cake. I just love going here.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Eddie Vs last night. It was an outstanding dining experience. Jonathan was a friendly and very attentive server. He made sure all the tweets we made to our orders were expertly handled by the kitchen! The Shellfish Tower was exquisite, and they allowed us to substitute more crab and shrimp for the lobster. The portions were huge and the seafood was very fresh and cold. Highly recommend you splurge on this next visit. The salads were delicious - Jonathan really came through with extra bacon and tomato on my B-I-L’s wedge. Next, the crab cake was huge and very meaty - very little bread. Just the way we like it! Our entrees were sumptuous. My wife had the bone-in NY Strip - delicious. I had the crab-stuffed shrimp and the B-I-L had the scallops. Both were very very good. And finally, the crab-fried rice was the best we’ve ever had. I’ll be ordering that for take-out very soon! Perhaps the most delicious dish all night! Very generous portion of lump crab meat. Jonathan finished off the decadence with a complimentary dessert for the BD celebration. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal or experience. We will def be back for our anniversary, or perhaps sooner, and we will be requesting Jonathan to take care of us. You should, too!

Overall, the food was good and so was the service. We were however disappointed with the number/variety of wines available by glass. There were just one or two wines by glass for each type and they were marked up quite high. So you had to either get a bottle or pay a hefty price for a glass of wine you did not care for. I’d think twice about going back to Eddie V’s, especially if I’m not in the mood to get a whole bottle of wine.

Took Mom there for her birthday. It was a wonderful time and food and music was awesome. I didn't like the fact that server asked what dessert she wanted which implied it was complimentary, only to charge me for it. Then, he brought out the complimentary one while the chocolate cake was being prepared. He should have mentioned the complimentary one first.
