A friend recommended that we try this place, so we did, and we enjoyed our experience very much. We go out usually every Friday for dinner, and enjoy a casual setting with lots of choices, and we were able to make a reservation, so that we didn’t have to wait.
We definetly plan to return.
Only downer our charge card was used for another party and had to be reversed
We come here about once or twice maybe even three times a week to enjoy lunch brunch or dinner. We enjoyed the atmosphere the great staff that hometown feel and food the feels nutritious and great. We also have to say that the waitstaff is adequately observant to our needs the always welcome us in and they left a pad our dear sweet Nesa. The outdoor seating is comfortable clean
Really Bad food and not a good value. Very disappointing
I am celiac and received a gluten meal after being very specific about needing a gluten free meal. The waiter caught it only after I’d eaten half of the meal. The chef came out and argued with our party of ten about what was sent out . I had been given another tables order and the chef expedited the tacos as gluten free to the runner who then told me it was gluten free. The chef later admitted being at fault. To make a huge error is one thing. To argue with customers after you’ve made an error that puts their health in jeopardy?
I would not trust them if you have allergies. They don’t have their system down for handling the orders and staff isn’t paying attention or double checking in time to catch errors.
The owner and manager have called me and are concerned, but, its all after the fact. I’m not well and the whole experience was terrible.
Real American Food, very high Quality and interesting mix of the menu
Having so many GF options was amazing! Fun and open atmosphere!
They wont see me again , as the food was marginal at best
We unfortunately had a new server who tried hard, but missed a lot. Didn’t serve two salads and one dessert still hadn’t come after a 20 minute wait.
Great Ahi Poke will go back for that..
love the place
We came to celebrate the restaurant's 10th anniversary. The restaurant had baloons and a cotton candy machine. The staff were friendly and upbeat. The service was great and the food was good. Great family friendly place
This was not my first experience here. I have taken my work team here for lunch but I thought I wanted to try them for dinner. I will not make this mistake. The food was very good the service was very poor. Very poor.
We had a great time for our kids birthdays(twins) and the service was awesome!!!
First time here based on friends recommendations. First of all when we were asked if we wanted drinks, we said yes and the waiter left . ?? The. We finally got another waiter and we ordered drinks and food. We waited and then they came with the main course forgetting that we had ordered appetizers. My dish was the catfish with collard greens and Mac and cheese, the fish was horrible. Not sure if it was even cooked properly, the crust was just horrible. I had to ask several times (3) to refill our water glasses... don’t think we will come back again, even our friends who were the ones who asked us to try it with them had to apologize for the bad meal and service.
Was not too busy but understaffed. Took more than 20 minutes to get drinks. Food was very good for the price.
The country fried chicken was so dry, it was inedible. The sides seemed like they were sitting a long time. The management was very nice. He asked how we were doing and when I complained, he comped my meal which was very nice.
This was the first time we ate at Eddie Papas. We met friends at Eddie Papas for dinner and requested a quiet table because we have not seen each other for a year and wanted to talk. We were seated and realized that the location was not going to work for us and requested to move. We sat at another table which was away from others but as the evening progressed (Sunday) the tables around us filled up. We are all seniors (except my wife) and even though we can still get lively, our hearing is not as good as years ago and with other people talking near us the noise level at times was high. A lot of restaurants these days have acoustic issues due to the architecture. The waitress (or server) was fabulous and the food was good. I would recommend for a birthday party or a large group of friends for a celebration, but I would not recommend for a date night, anniversary or reconnecting with old friends.
Very good dinner, the Artichoke Soup was very good and my husband enjoyed his sandwitch and fries. The service was just ok, a little slow. Then when we had finished dinner the waiter left the check and pretty much ran off, we had to call him back to inform him we would like to see the dessert menu.
Going to Eddie papas is like family. Everyone knows us and our pet Nessarose. It’s a comfortable environment and love to eat here. Hunter our waiter is cute and very sweet.
I always like coming here. The food is good with a wide variety to appeal to a wide range of taste buds. The servers are always good.
Great food. Timely service. It’s rude for wait staff to assume that you’ll leave all your change for their tip. Just bring the change back to the customer. Don’t ask, “Do you need change?” This always leave a bad aftertaste. You can say, “I’ll be right right back with your change,” and leave it to your customer to tell you if they want any change. But it always shows a lack of the decorum to ask, “Do you need change?” This has to stop.
Food was good and price was reasonable. Pretty noisy for Sunday night even though there were not too many patrons. Will be back.
New Years Eve dinner with 3 kids. Service was attentive. Food was delicious, just don't count the calories. Desert was decadent. And ginormous cotton candy for every table?
Will definitely return to Eddie Papa's after working off this great meal.
One of our favorite restaurants in Pleasanton. Always great food and terrific service! Fantastic montly regional cuisine with stories about the food choices and EVERY meal is served with cotton candy!!! GO HERE AND EAT ALL THE THINGS
Met with friends that I have not seen for many years and
We had such a nice visit and everyone thought it was a good choice for a get together.
Went for lunch. Excellent service.
Had our 4 year old Granddaughter with us she loved the plain grilled chicken breast. She is a very picky eater. Her favorite part was the huge pile of pink cotton candy that came at the end of the meal. It’s there signature ending.
This wasn't our first time here, but unfortunately we did not have good service experience this time.
The timing was off - appetizers and 2/3 kids meals came out at the same time, then the 3rd kids meal later. By the time the rest of the adult's meals came out, the kids were done and had to wait for the adults to finish. Constantly had to flag our server down to get anything - if we could even find him. His service area was huge - from one corner to the next.
We came with visiting family members and the cotton candy was supposed to be the highlight of the meal for the kids. However, we had to ask for it, then wait for it and when it finally came, it was a small portion for a table of 7.
Disappointing experience. We've had inconsistent service me experiences here and will need to think again about bringing visitors for a special meal here.
Always great service and food! Our new "go to" restaurant for our family.
Great service and the food was amazing. Great menu, selections for everyone. They have a full bar and beer on tap from local breweries. Not much you can ask for. We will be back soon!
The service is great. We had the Buffalo Wings and the Ruben with garlic fries. Plus loved the vanilla cotton candy.
I love this place! I have tried many things here, and each item is tasty. It is a good place for a date, but it is also very family friendly!
Friends in from out of town and they had their little doggie with them. We sat outside on a chilly night, but it was all good under the heater. Food was good, service was excellent, wine good and after dinner hot drinks yummy too!
Great service and food! Very enjoyable family meal out on a Saturday night.
Atmosphere was fun, lively and energetic. Food was only okay. Others (including server) praised the fish and chips so that's what I ordered. Fries were cold, and the fish was just okay. Watching neighboring table enjoy table-side s'mores was a highlight, as was seeing everyone else get cotton candy at the end of the meal. We were told this was for everyone, but we were not served any. When asked about it, our server comped our beignets (although this could be because we pointed out that they were under-cooked and doughy). Overall, good comfort food, great for a group, large menu of items.
I LOVE Eddie Papas, always friendly service and FANTASTIC food. This has regional specials and each item on the menu has a little story attached. Every meal ends with cotton candy, even if you just had dessert.
Great place. Good food. Awesome service. We had a large group and they accommodated us easily. We had a nice large round table for 10 people. The service was great and our waitress was really nice and helpful.
A litte loud for a business meeting but good food and nice encvironment
very casual and comfortable. Meatloaf was dry, loved my green goddess wedge salad. very friendly wait staff. We were there early on a Sun evening. Not at all busy. Best bonus, free gotten candy.
Super friend staff, welcoming but not overbearing. Service was timely and everything we ordered was served hot and all at once. Server checked in ok us. But did hover. We talked and hung out and we're never pressured to move on . Great place
Great experience, however I had added a note in my reservations that is was my daughter’s 7th bday. Our waiter was excellent but wish the host informed our waiter that it was her bday.
