Eddie Papa's American Hangout
Smaller versions of our house salad
Big Kids Burger
1/4 lb hand shaped fresh ground beef
Originating in Louisiana by the Bayou Cajuns where food was scarce. it is said to be a compound word of Jambon (French-Ham), & Aya (African-Rice). Tasso, tomatoes, chicken, andouille sausage, prawns, peppers
Had fish and chips and they didn’t seem fresh and as super fishy. The cheese on the nachos seemed old…. I remember this place being way better.
Once again, Eddie Papa's never disappoints. We went with party of 9 for a family celebration. Great menu. Stellar service. We requested outside seating, so it was quiet except for our family noisemaking. Can't recommend highly enough. Will go again.
The food was just very subpar compared to how it normally is and wasn’t presented well.
Staff was amazing and fun and engaging with the guests / customers. A very unrushed experience.
Menu was different than on line options but still very good with the choices provided.
Would go back an looking forward to larger menu in the future . My Nephew enjoyed the huge cotton candy and desert birthday treat at the end. Thanks for making his day a special one.
Santa Barbara Chicken Club is delicious! Made on locally baked Salt Craft bread rolls!
Ordered calmari which was overcooked. Rest of meal was bland and Iwas disappointing.
I was shocked at how delicious my food and drinks were for a chain restaurant, looking forward to going back
Went there for Mother’s Day lunch. No wait and took us right at our reservation time.
Can’t wait to go back.
The staff at Eddie Papa’s are always welcoming. Great place to go on a date night or with the whole family.
Ate outside during lunch. Food was delicious. It’s always a treat to get the cotton candy at the end of the meal.
Was surprised to get a grilled sandwich and at the price. Perhaps
Server was very attentive. Food was hot and arrived quickly
Our dinner there was a great experience. Everyone walked out of there happy. They have a new menu that is very good. I highly recommend the Armenian street taco appetizer. They are to die for. The crab-artichoke sandwich is also fantastic. We also ordered a couple of desserts. The bread pudding was fabulous, but the caramel filled biegnets were simply off the chart. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Even if you’ve tried it in the past and haven’t been satisfied I would recommend giving them another try.
The crab dip is by far one of the best dips I’ve ever had! The ribs labeled “Kansas City Ribs” definitely did not meet the standard of their name ( I am from Kansas City, Kansas ) so I’m very particular about my BBQ. The dish was suppose to come with greens and did not, apparently they ran out and gave me asparagus in tomato sauce instead. The Mac and cheese could have used a little more seasoning. I would not recommend this dish. However the meatloaf and mash potatoes was really good and the lobster roll definitely lives up to its name! The cocktails were also very very good. The owner Eddie was very sweet and welcoming and mentioned their brunch on Sunday’s we will definitely be back as there was quite a few things to try on their menu.
Terrible service--- waited 15 mins to be served. The bartender was also serving. They are unprepared.
Always a wonderful experience. The owner Eddie was very accommodating for my friend who is unable to have gluten.
My first time out dining since the COVID quarantine. My favorite bartender Kris was working, and she hooked me up with a phenomenal Zin from Paso Robles. I have a vegetarian burger and coleslaw. The service was excellent, as always.
They weren’t open and even though we booked table it was closed
Worst dining experience ever. We've eaten here before COVID-19, but they weren't ready to open for business. Service was terrible, dinner took forever to get delivered, and chicken nuggets were burnt. We had to get our own silverware and plates. The hot dessert was cold. They were under staffed and were not prepared to meet the needs of their customers - everyone around us had a complaint. If we could give them a rating of zero we would.
Enjoyed being out in the patio with good food and great drinks.
This reservation was made several days prior and a confirmation email was acknowledged 1-2 days prior. THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED!! You can imagine the surprise and let down that caused. I don’t know who’s at fault here, the restaurant or Open Table.
out door seating only of course. Service was absolutely wonderful, friendly, engaging and quick. Somewhat of an eclectic menu, but there is something for everyone. Great margaritas by mixologist Chris.
Stopped in for lunch with friend. Food well presented and tasty. Score one for Eddy Pappa’s.
Great service from Luis!
Our service was great! Food was so good! Will return!
Due to the Coronavirus the place was super clean and kinda empty. Very good experience while dining!
Arturo-our server - was more than accommodating - perfect place for a great together
Really good food and drinks and a surprise at the end some cotton candy mmmmm
Another successful Birthday- every year since she was 5! Eddie and Luis are amazing as always; Food was great and service spectacular! Thank you for adding to our family memories!!
Our waitress was great. She was interactive and fun! Food was above average. But the music was loud for lunchtime. Made it hard to carry on a conversation
We want to start by saying we have been here numerous times and have enjoyed it. We were warmly greeted by the owner upon arrival. However once we encountered our waitress that's when it started to go downhill. At first she was friendly and seemed quite capable. She made an innocent error on one of our drinks which was no big deal. It was when one of our meals came back incorrectly that we were encountered with an extremely rude waitress. We looked for the owner to speak to on our way out but we were not able to find him. I don't expect the wait staff to be over the top bubbly friendly but I do expect to not be treated like it's my fault for their errors. Its unfortunate that this experience was so poor. Its changed my opinion of this location.
Really fabulous find in Pleasanton. Extensive eclectic menu. Delicious BBQ rib entree... many choices for appetizers and sides. I'll be back!
Was my daughter’s Bday and we’ve been long time customers. Great good; great staff..good for all
I’ve been frequenting Eddie Papas for the past 5 years, and unfortunately, it has gone downhill. The food I cannot complain about, it has been good throughout the years. The service and the restaurant itself has gone downhill. The interior needs a facelift, old booths and tables. The servers are nice, but beyond slow. My family of 3 came in on a Monday afternoon, only 5 tables were occupied, and it still took forever to get our drinks and food. Our server rarely came to check on us, again, 5 occupied tables and two servers??? I think I’m going to hold off going to Eddie Papas for awhile.
There was a very large party seated right next to us. Unfortunately, our waiter had both the large party and us as patrons. We were served an hour and a half later than when we sat down. The food was good but the service was lacking. The server was very apologetic.
I met some of my fellow high school friends and the location was just right for folks coming from Brentwood, Los Gatos and Oakland. The services was fantastic, food superb and service was excellent. We will be back!
It was for my birthday and as usual they did not disappoint. The waiter was handsome and very cordial. He was quick and sweet. I love this restaurant and what it does for its customers. It’s small town feel. Chili’s is next door but isn’t half as good. He takes good care of his employees and if he can afford it should pay them more.
Out of 12 of us only 4 seemed to be happy with their food. Everyone agreed that the food was tasteless and needed more seasoning. It would have been nice if everyone was happy with their food. We will try them again.
If you no longer carry something, please remove it from the menu.
This restaurant is ok. It’s always dead so usually don’t need reservations for brunch but you never know. Service was good since there were a total of 6 people dining yesterday morning. My kid loves the cotton candy at the end of the meal.
Nobody in the Pleasanton area treats diners as well as this establishment. I’ve been here with family, business associates and friends, never been disappointed!
