Eddie Merlot's - Warrenville Ratings and Reviews
With a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes for our table to be ready. Once we didn't order alcohol we were completely ignored by our waiter, watching him schmooze other tables. We went for a special New Years Eve dinner, and left feeling like we wasted $100. The waiter didn't bring out our food, refill our waters, and when we were done, our food sat for over 10 minutes. Here's my tip for our waiter, Troutman, have some customer service.
Celebrated news year eve. Had to wait about 20 minutes for our reservation but a very nice evening. Chateaubriand was great! And loved cauliflower au gratin. Service very attentive and friendly. Seated in the bar area. Might ask next time for main dining but on news year eve it was fine. Great guitarist to liven the evening
Went on New Years eve, order pork chops, suppose to the 16 oz. Was one small pork chop, was surprised it wasn't two. Onion soup have a small amount of cheese.
Realize it was New Years eve, but there food was not up to what we had on several previous visits, looks like another Resturant has gone down hill.
We had a remarkable experience at Eddie Merlot's on NYE 2017. Our server was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. She suggested we try the candied bacon appetizer and it was delicious. She also told us about the Wylarah-wagyu beef that my husband tried. We might never order any other steak again. The Eddie's chopped salad is enough to get us back if it was the only thing on the menu. We ended with baked alaska - YUM! We felt pampered all night.
We Frequent Hugo's, but we weren't able to get in on Christmas Eve before midnight mass, read the reviews of Eddie Merlot's and thought we'd try it.
WOW, OUTSTANDING. Food phenomenal, service exceptional and a great atmosphere all the way at around.
The service from our waitress Shannon was top notch. The setting was elegant, the food perfect, and the cocktails poured table-side were amazing. It isn't often you find a dining experience of this caliber hidden in the suburbs. We were pleasantly surprised. This may just be our new favorite spot when dining out. Much easier than traveling into the city and we didn't have to compromise on anything. Wish we would have tried Eddie Merlot's a long time ago.
My wife and I went to Eddie Merlot's for the first time last night. It was a really wonderful experience. The steaks were excellent and cooked perfectly! One would expect that, but that hasn't been our experience at every fine dining steakhouse. Our server Braden was awesome! Very helpful and checked back with us just the right amount of times to ensure any need was taken care of. The manager Steve also stopped by at the beginning and toward the end of our meal to ensure everything was to our liking. Thank you Braden and Steve (and Chef) for a wonderful dining experience! We'll definitely be back!
The food was excellent as it has been in the past. The service was very good and we had an enjoyable evening with friends. We were taken aback with the size of the bill for four people. It was much more than we had anticipated even though I kept track of the costs as we ordered from the amounts given on the menu. We will have to save up for some time to go back again.
Have been going to Eddie Merlot's in Warrenville ever since they opened and have never been disappointed. A special shout out goes to our server Ted, who is very personable, customer service driven and knowledgeable regarding the menu and wine list. Thanks Ted!
