Everything was perfect! The food was outstanding, the atmosphere classy and the service impeccable! Mark is our favorite waiter. He makes us always feel special, is attentative to our every need and proactively serves us with a warm, personable attitide. We were celebrating 38 years of marriage and was treated royally. It was a perfect place to be on our anniversary!
This is the first truly upscale dining experience I've ever had and I loved it. My fiancé af I celebrated our third anniversary with dinner at Eddie's. It was very pricy but for that you get attentive servers, presidential treatment and fine dining. I won't be able to afford to go back this year anytime but it's a great setting for a business dinner.
We came for an anniversary celebration. Food was good. Portions were very good.
Waitress Rachael was outstanding! Having quality people like her makes a nice evening all the more enjoyable! Enjoyed the evening much. Definitely on the to-do list for a return visit. Thank you.
I have eaten here about 10 times. It is an upscale restaurant with some of the best food and service in Fort Wayne. Wine list is extensive. Appetizer, salad, meat and sides are ordered separately. Great for special occasions. My wife had the cedar planked salmon and declared it excellent. I had the Veal Tenderloins which were fantastic. The bacon/brussel sprout side was fantastic.
It took us 1 1/2 hours to get a 6oz lobster tail, which didn't seem like 6 oz at all. The manager visited every table but ours. Our server was either new or just plain awful and impersonal. The server next to us talked to us more and was very knowledgeable. The busser took my silverware before my meal even came, and we had to track someone down to get new silverware when my food finally arrived. I would never pay $200 again for a subpar meal. Was really disappointed and we had a show to get to, or we would've tracked down the manager and complained. Best part of the meal was dessert.

Knows who we are. He see's us come in with numerous friends and by ourselves. HE KNOWS US!! However, never once has he as much as acknowledged us. He'll come over and shoot the breeze with our friends and guests, but he ignores us!! It's getting old! Perhaps a call to his BOSS would change his rude behavior.
Another fantastic meal at Eddie Merlot's, party of 8 that were celebrating my wife's birthday. We have been to Eddie's several times before and this trip was just as great as all of our others. The service is just plain impeccable, nothing is left out, the attention to detail, and keeping glasses full, folding napkins for bathroom goers, scraping crumbs off of the table are all part of the extras you can expect at Eddie's. We were tag teamed by a pair of excellent servers who catered to our every whim. They made suggestions on meal entrees, sides, wines, and desserts. There always seemed to be someone there at a moments notice if we desired anything. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides are ample enough to share, and the desserts are almost big enough to share as well. We had a wonderful time, my wife especially liked her free birthday dessert (creme brulee) complete with the lite candle. We all left feeling quite full, and very happy at the wonderful experience we just enjoyed. Highly recommend!
Our waitress had great suggestions and each one was wonderful. Bone-in fillet with blue cheese melted into your stomach almost without chewing and swallowing. But that would have denied the taste. House cabernet was a great complement. Only one problem...no room for dessert. Next time appetizers and dessert.
My wife and I celebrated our 52nd. anniversary on 9/8/17 with a dinner meal. We received our appetizers and salads within a reasonable time, (They were very good). We waited on our entree for nearly an hour. As I was preparing to notify the young lady of our decision to leave, our food arrived. Everyone was very apologetic, giving us a discount on our bill and desert to take home with us. We have been dining at Eddie Merlot's for the past several years and will continue to do so. Food was great and the response to our receiving our food late was handled, in our opinion, appropriately.
Upon arrival we were taken to our table which was in the bar lounge area. The bar lounge is very nice and roomy, which at the time one table was being used. the hostess tried to seat us at a table that was in the direct sunlight with no shades to be pulled, so we asked to be moved to a different table which she did. Now this time she put us in the doorway of the two rooms which gave my wife a great view of the folding door / wall that separates the two rooms, with at least 10 to 12 empty table. Which buy the way only had two more couples come in during the time of our dinner. Are waiter was excellent and help on suggestion for dinner. we had the sweet and spicy shrimp for and appetizer and they were awesome. For dinner we both had steaks and they were just average, our opinion is we can get as good of steak at Texas Roadhouse for a lot less money. I do not see us returning.
We found the restaurant easily and parking was not a problem. Upon entering we were well received and seated in an excellent spot. Wait staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed Some of the best food I've ever eaten in the US. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
