Eddie Merlot's - Columbus Ratings and Reviews
Went on New Years Eve and could not have had a better experience. We sat in a great location in the back by the fireplace where we could hear our conversation and enjoy the ambiance. The food was excellent as usual and the service impeccable. Great start to the new year!
New Year's Eve dinner - consistently good fine dining & professional wait staff. Eddie's Merlot's is one of my favorite fine dining spots in Columbus.
Everything was as delicious as expected & our waiter (Chris) delivered top-notch service.
They make it extremely difficult for me to want to try comparable restaurants when I can count on their quality.
Overpriced anymore for quality of food. Example, Corn not nearly as good as when opened. For the price of the food you would think they could provide better take home containers. Second visit that the leftover side dishes spilled everywhere out of the boxes making a huge mess.
We are regulars at Eddie's so there are certain things we have come to expects, even during busy times like Christmas Eve. We we're not disappointted. Nose level is always a but high but you can conduct personal conversations without shouting. Great experience.
Eddie Merlot was on my bucket list of resturants, My first time there, celebrating my birthday and my friends birthday. What we thought would be a quiet evening dinner turned out to be very noisy, very loud people at the bar and the music! Food was great service was great but the atmosphere was awlful! Someone from the restaruant called to ask if they could seat us in the lounge, said it would be a “ quiet, cozy area” it was NOT. We could not even hear each other talking. Very disappointed. I would not reccomend the place to anyone for that reason. Our server was awesome though!
We had a fantastic experience, and this restaurant just replaced all-comers on our go-to list of "special occasion" steakhouses. You go here because you want to spend $60+ on a steak. Accordingly, I don't believe the "value" category in the ratings system applies. In any event, we got every dime's worth of what we paid during our visit.
I met my girl friend's, we shared 2 appetizers which were awesome. I ordered a medium done burger, recieved a well done burger, they attempted another it was rare and they offered to bring me anything I wanted equal to, which was the right thing to do. But you would think an upscale steak house would know how to cook a burger. My friend's dinners were good. I would and will go back because they treated me right. They even took off my appetizer. Very nice
Ribeye was extremely fatty on 2 plates. Waiter did not even comment. Sprouts were under cooked and potatoes over cooked. Ran out of carrot cake. You didn't know the holidays are coming? We are usually happy, not this time.
I brought my girlfriend here for our 6th Anniversary. We asked for a warm spot in the restaurant as it was a cold night outside. They sat us right by the fireplace which was perfect. Everyone that waited on us in any means wished us a happy anniversary which made us feel special. We ordered the brusel sprouts, lobster mac n cheese, the sea bass and the New York Strip, oscar style. All of the food was amazing. My girlfriend said it was the best piece of fish she has ever had. They treated us to a free dessert for our anniversary to top off a great experience.
