Eddie Merlot's - Burr Ridge Ratings and Reviews
After our previous experience with Eddie Merlot at a different location, my husband reluctantly agreed to go to this Eddie Merlot location. This changed his mind about returning! Everything that we ordered was exceptionally good. We were impressed with the variety on the menu and everything exceeded our expectations! We will be back!
Our first time at Eddies. Our server was Geoff who had been there six years and was outstanding. The wine selection was excellent. I was offered a small tasting of two wines before I chose. That was much appreciated. The cocktails choices were ok. The lemon drop martini was the bomb! We thoroughly enjoyed the burrata as an appetizer. Another new menu item was the truffle tater tots, they were very good. My wife ordered the bourbon glazed rib eye, it was fantastic. We had side of creamed corn which was prepared a little different than most but “on point”. I had the 20 oz lobster tail, it was grilled and over cooked. Not a very good piece of meat. I ate less than half. Don’t recommend it. I didn’t complain so I don’t know how the restaurant would have handled it. Over all a great experience. Do go.
We go to Eddie Merlot's for anniversaries, birthdays, Mother's Day brunch and have never been disappointed. Food and service is always great and the staff is extremely polite and courteous and they make you feel like they're really glad you chose their restaurant. It's a great place for date night too. The new menu gives you another reason to keep going back and trying new things.
Our waitress, Ana, was gracious, friendly and top-notch. Our food was very good overall albeit a bit too much butter on my sea bass and the julienned veggies underneath. Despite too much butter, the seabass the cooked perfectly and my dinner partner's bison was perfectly cooked to a medium-well. My dinner partner is a new wine drinker and likes sweeter wines. Ana was very helpful giving suggestions for a wine he might enjoy with his bison without being pretentious. Thank you, Ana! Thank you all for an enjoyable evening and wonderful surroundings with great food.
We had great food, wine and service. We shared a Cesar salad and some of their warm bread. One entree was the double pork chops and the other was shrimp. We enjoyed them both. Our server brought us a complimentary creme brûlée for our anniversary and it was delicious! We had a wonderful evening and will return. Thanks
Usually we really enjoy our entree, but on this occasion the Chateaubriand was rare when we ordered it medium ( hot pink center). They had cut it in half tableside and then took it back to cook it further. It came back and was tasteless. Extremely disappointing for a $105 piece of tenderloin. Stick with the prime steaks to ensure a good meal.
Absolutely fantastic. It's so hard to find a restaurant that's not so overbearingly loud that you can't carry a conversation across your table - This place is perfect. Our server was polite, knowledgeable and knew we had been a previous customer. I noted on my Open Table reservation this was an anniversary and was acknowledged just that. Husband had pork chops-it came with 2 and mashed potatoes, I had trio filet mignon medium rare and perfect. Enough for leftovers. Definitely a return visit in the future!
