The Hotel is absolutely beautiful but the food was very poor quality. I can not recall ever eating eggs and pancakes in my life and paying $42 for a plate and on top of that it wasn’t even good.

Nice place, but expensive. Santa was great. Plus, food is not hot enough and they don't warm up the quiche. They tagged on 18% gratuity and the server brought over 1 coffee and a juice. It's self serve but once we saw the bill, we asked him to bring us coffee.

We had-fabulous food. My only complaint is that the waitress told us we had to hurry up and decide what we wanted because the kitchen was closing. We picked something quickly but the feeling of being pressured didn’t make us comfortable. Then my boyfriend complained which made it even more uncomfortable to me because I’m not a complainer. His view was if they made a reservation at 10:30 that we should not feel like we were being a inconvieniance. We kept hearing the waitress to tell everyone the needed to hurry because the kitchen was closing as she handed them the menu. Do not make late night reservations on New Year’s

I arrived on 10 minutes before reservation (8pm) and I was told by the hosts that there is 30 min wait! The hostes were very unprofessional. Really, where do management finds such people on new years eve!! The food was good and our server was great!

This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had for a Christmas dinner. There was no mention of the fact that there wasn’t real seating for dinner. This was a lounge and a bar and they were not prepared and reservations were not honored.

This is a lobby restaurant in the Hyatt Embarcadero. Food and service were mediocre or worse. Service was slow, and the kitchen seemed incapable of doing anything even slightly customized. Ordered roast turkey with white meat only, and it came with a mix of white and dark meat.

I made reservations several days in advance and we arrived on time. We were seated immediately but in the very back of the dining area at a high table and high chairs that accommodates a party of six—not at one of the quiet canopy-style tables for parties of four which are located in the main dining area. Once seated, we waited a long time for our waitperson to arrive. We also had to ask for additional menus because there was only a single menu at our table. Nothing else on the table. Just the single menu with a missing page. The page with the entrees. Once our waitperson arrived with additional menus (that took a while), she was good at taking our orders accurately, including drinks, offered and served us water while we waited, but had to wait for silverware and linen napkins to arrive. Food arrived relatively quickly, took a while for our waitperson to come back to make sure we were OK. We were. Had to ask our waitperson for a dessert menu. Ordered coffee while we waited for a shared dessert. It arrived cold. We waited a long time for our waitperson to request our check. After we were served the coffee and dessert, she was nowhere to be found. I left her a 15% tip, which in hindsight was probably too generous. Atmosphere was very cafeteria-like and the temperature in the room was absolutely cold. One in our party had to put on her overcoat while having her dinner to stay warm. Would I recommend the restaurant to others? The food is certainly recommendable but the restaurant itself is not. Plus the overall service that night was mediocre at best. Being our Christmas dinner, our experience could have been more memorably pleasant than it was.

Too impersonal and although we had booked well in advance, we were seated round the back of the bar with no view or ambience. Our drinks arrived about 10 mins after our food which ruins the whole experience. We felt rushed - the food arrived about 5 mins after ordering and the plates were cleared as each person finished- 1 at a time!! It felt as though they just wanted us out. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you are in a hurry and don't care about service. I won't be returning.

We were visiting San Francisco during Christmas and would like to make reservation for Christmas Eve. Eclipse was open and very easy to book with OpenTable. There was a special menu and desert but we could also choose from the regular menu. The restaurant is inside the hotel that was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We were very satisfied with food, service, price and restaurant.

Over priced for the quality of food and lousy service. We ordered beverages when we were seated and had to ask multiple times and finally received our drinks when our meal was finished. Santa Claus was the definitely the star and was highlight of our time there.

Great job for thanksgiving dinner! For only $28, this was the best deal in town. I think adding alcohol specials would have been a good idea. You could increase your average check by 50% being the soda was $5.

The Eclipse Kitchen and Bar are in the unique lobby of thee Hyatt Regency Embarcadero. This provides a stunning interior view of this still futurist 1973 landmark hotel. After waiting awhile for the host/hostess, we were told to sit wherever we like. It took awhile for the waitress to take our order, but after that the service improved. The food was excellent; I had a yummy burger with a small tasty Caesar salad. The cocktails were well made too. Recommend it!

We had a large group of 12 but otherwise the restaurant was nearly empty. The service was terrible...extremely slow and unorganized. For the prices they charge I was shocked they had one server on staff but other busser, however those extra hands couldn’t help take orders or with food (union mess I assume)

.The buffet was the only breakfast option and I didn’t have time to go elsewhere. Well I’m glad because I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and there were so many options. Everything you could think of! It turned out to be my breakfast and my “lunch” so I was able to justify the price to myself :) Great attentive and friendly service. I would do it again.

This buffet used to be the best around and could also order from the menu if you didn't want to do the buffet but its all changed now. They have 2 different buffet prices (one includes all tables and the other is the outside tables which are only continental type breakfast) and when they began running out of something they wouldn't replace it with more, the cook simply said no, he wasn't going to cook more with only an hour left to the buffet, ridiculous! Terrible service and they now removed the option to order from a menu so you don't even have a choice of doing the buffet or not. Don't waste your time!

This is a lovely restaurant with a good menu and great service. However, avoid this if you are disabled. First, the valet parking is $18 per hour, with NO restaurant validation or discounts for handicapped parking. Second, the signage for getting to the restaurant level is dismal - I went up and down the elevator twice and had to flag down an employee to find out you had to push "A" for "Atrium" level - that button only indicated "registration". Finally, I was told three times to "take the escalator" to the restaurant level, a feat which anyone with two eyes can see that I cannot accomplish without severe injury. So, it took me 1/2 hour (or$9 in valet time) to get to the restaurant. Once there, the atmosphere was good and our server was outstanding. But I would probably not go again.
