Eclipse di Luna - Dunwoody Ratings and Reviews
The Halloween party was great. However the drinks were small, inconsistent, and expensive. One example was $12 for 2 ounces of straight vodka on the rocks. This was the same price for a mixed drink with the same amount or more liquor and mixers (let alone the cost of the effort for 1 pour vs mixing multiple ingredients).
Nice but 1) we were seated in the outside area during the cold season with the zip plastic enclosure, but it was still very cold even with small heaters on the ceiling throughout the space. 2) The outdoor space is a bit small with uneven concrete flooring and hard wooden chairs and tables, so not very cozy or comfy. 3) I ordered tomato fresco and got 3 slices of barely ripened large tomatoes w/moz & vinaigrette. They were very difficult to slice which made eating the dish a bit cumbersome. Overall I give the place a solid 3 stars for the effort.
I have been to this restaurant to 6 times over the years, weekdays, evenings, weekends. Today we had four people, varied orders which were shared as is the tapas custom, most food excellent, a few dishes so-so, good plate presentation, food was fresh. Good service. I like that they serve as food is prepared--this is good for date night conversation. Consistently good. Pleased overall.
You close to early on a Friday night and the music when the band is on recess is to low. Dancing area to small and to many people dress in shirts and jeans not a great place to sit have a drink and dance. The band was good but the attire was to street like. Was looking for a more classy place.
This was our fourth time dining here and every time the food selection provides enough variety for most everyone - meat, fish, vegetarian, gluten free. The dishes are tasty as well as pleasing to the eye. The Wait staff is attentive, friendly, and very efficient without making you feel comfortable, never rushed or impatient. I have brought friends here as well and all have really enjoyed their experience.
A fun, vibrant place. The diversity of tapas means everyone gets a favorite plus a chance to try something new. The ribs, caesar salad, and peach sorbet (divine, with fragrant peach studs) are keepers, the brussel sprout treatment not so much. We're eager to return.
I love the feel and ambiance of eclipse de luna. We greatly enjoyed the variety of succulent tapas dishes and thirst quenching cocktails - not to mention the lively music and dancing! While I may not be known for my graceful dance moves, I still felt comfortable getting up and participating with everyone, we had a great time!
Not the best experience I've had. Service was pretty bad. Drinks were forgotten until we reminded server.
She heard tomatoes when we ordered potatoes and it took 3 attempts of them to bring us a side dish of tomatoes before someone would accept that we did not order them.
We ordered 2 sides of green beans... only got one and finally just cancelled second when we were almost done with food. If the same table ordered same item ... shouldn't they both come out at the same time?
I've also never been there when it has not been packed on a Saturday night... it was pretty empty.
Maybe a sign that it is going downhill?
The noise level made it almost impossible to have a conversation at our table. We have always loved Eclipse but we will not be going back, regrettably. It's just gotten progressively louder and really unpleasant to try to talk.
Great experience overall. The tapas selections were all attractive and delicious. Made for a fun date because we could sample a bunch of different things without breaking the bank or feeling like pigs. The decor was interesting and inviting. The drinks were good, but as I have seen in other reviews, this is where you end up spending your money. I loved the live band. It was Sunday, and live music on a Sunday seems kind of rare. They played a variety of types of music, and what I especially appreciated was that the volume level was high enough that everyone could hear the music, but low enough that conversation was easy.
One of our favorite tapas restaurants in Atlanta. If you come there often restaurant guys will remember your preferred drinks, dishes, place you want to sit. We always have great service and enjoy very good tapas food, live music and watching people dancing. very energetic place.
our favorite dish is spicy ceviche. Last time our server Jessica surprised us with very good desert. I believe it was a caramel cake with ice cream..
