Eclipse di Luna - Dunwoody Ratings and Reviews
Yummy Tapas with a very lively Friday night crowd and fun music. Group of 5 and we had different dishes and passed them around. Notable were the ceviche and Shrimp dip (so good we ordered a 2nd one). Great margaritas!!! Obviously a good late night choice as folks were still coming in when we left at 9 pm. Great service! We will be back!
Eclipse di Luna is one of the best Latin/tapas restaurants in Atlanta, and certainly the best in the Sandy Springs / Dunwoody area of North Atlanta. They have a large variety of plates. Surprisingly, at least 12-15 of them are suitable for vegetarians. Their bacon wrapped sausage with dates is my favorite, but the chicken empanadas and paella are also great. The service was also attentive and excellent. Charles did a great job of keeping up with our orders and keeping the drinks full. The night we were there, they had a great band as well. I'm afraid I don't have their name, but they played a great mix of merengue, salsa, and a few bachatas and cumbias thrown in. Dancing is encouraged, and there were plenty of people enjoying it.
Overall, I really recommend Eclipse di Luna. It's not cheap tapas, but the quality, service, and ambiance are worth it for business meals, dates, and other nice gatherings.
I met a friend here to celbrate her Birthday. It was the perfect location to enjoy good food and good friends!
I love the menu. We each had salmon and split the asparagus, tomato and the roasted potatoes.
We split a choclate brownie..
Our waitress was perfect! She knew when to swing by the table and when to refrain! It was a wonderful celebration!
I love this restaurant, but they need to have a special something (drink, dessert, dish, etc) for birthdays.... It's such a fun place to have a nice group or party.
They should also think about having a shot or double shot sampler tray of their cocktails... they were all so tasty sounding and I had to just pick 1, haha! :)
My friends & I had had a great time overall and I love that we can dance, eat & drink all in one place with a really nice atmosphere & pretty good service. :)
The Halloween party was great. However the drinks were small, inconsistent, and expensive. One example was $12 for 2 ounces of straight vodka on the rocks. This was the same price for a mixed drink with the same amount or more liquor and mixers (let alone the cost of the effort for 1 pour vs mixing multiple ingredients).
Nice but 1) we were seated in the outside area during the cold season with the zip plastic enclosure, but it was still very cold even with small heaters on the ceiling throughout the space. 2) The outdoor space is a bit small with uneven concrete flooring and hard wooden chairs and tables, so not very cozy or comfy. 3) I ordered tomato fresco and got 3 slices of barely ripened large tomatoes w/moz & vinaigrette. They were very difficult to slice which made eating the dish a bit cumbersome. Overall I give the place a solid 3 stars for the effort.
I have been to this restaurant to 6 times over the years, weekdays, evenings, weekends. Today we had four people, varied orders which were shared as is the tapas custom, most food excellent, a few dishes so-so, good plate presentation, food was fresh. Good service. I like that they serve as food is prepared--this is good for date night conversation. Consistently good. Pleased overall.
