Eclipse di Luna - Buckhead Ratings and Reviews
We went there for a birthday celebration. food was great except the portions even on the meals were very small for the prices. the drinks are expensive and nothing special about them. the sangria made us sick the next day. overall beautiful place very authentic scenery, but they seriously need to reconsider their portions and pricing. Service was all over the place, 3 different servers brought us food, $283 for 6 people is average for a nice dinner, only problem is we didnt eat, we had snacks lol.
The management on New year's Eve was poor with an inexperienced kid solving simple problems he was incapable of. Won't go back here. They will nickel and dime you to their own disadvantage since they eventually lose business. Everyplace was packed except for them for a reason.
Food was great as usual. Service was sloooooow. We were in early for a work event and were one of three small groups. Food took forever and one or two items delivered after having to ask three times. Since I ordered everything for the table there must have been a foul up between the table and the kitchen. Very unusual compared to previous experiences.
The service here is usually really good...tonight, not so much. Our waiter, Eric, forgot parts of our order, we had to ask several times for drinks (water and tea), and he would disappear for long periods of time. Our party was 7 people, so a 20% gratuity was automatically added which did not make me happy in the least.
It has been a while since we went to Eclipse di Luna at the Miami Circle location. It's a good place for tapas and drinks - there's latin live music, though we prefer the bands at the other locations. A bit restricted when it comes to having to wait till your party is complete before they seat you. I guess they prefer an empty table and missing out on selling drinks. I am sure there is a good reason for it, but other then their own convenience I can't think of one. Also they don't expect splitting bills - you will have to figure it out yourself.
The lamb is really good and a must have, there are many other plates that are great.
Came to Eclipse with a couple of friends. First time for all of us. We really liked the food. Spices were apropos but not overly spicy. C loved the Sangarita and the flan. Our server was fabulous with recommendations and service. We were in the back room and as we came through the main dining area to leave we were thankful b/c the main dining area seemed very noisy. We'll be back and we'll be sure to ask for the back room.
Felt very rushed and the food was not fresh like it usually is. So in other words felt like I wasted my money and bragging rights to my date because I have been talking about this restaurant to her for over a year now. Was just waiting for a special occasion to present itself so I would be able to cater to her for her birthday before our concert at Philips Arena. Crazy thing also is the food was so bad that day that I ended up eating at the arena. Sucks money wasted.
This was my 2nd visit. It seems the food tasted better the first time I was at the restaurant. We had Paella del Dia this time and it was average at best. There are a lot of gluten free tapas options and this has been nice for me!
Also, there was live music the first time I went (weeknight). I went on Friday evening this time and there was not music. Perhaps we arrived and left to early.
Even with a reservation, we had to wait over an hour in the rain (when it would pour we were huddled with about 50 strangers in the reception and when it was anything but pouring everyone preferred to get drenched outside). Table service was nothing to write home about either. I keep coming back and every time the service really misses the mark.
