Echo Ratings and Reviews
The pics online made it look a lot prettier than it is indoors. Ouside seemed ok. Miso soup was not good. Riceless role was great but small portion compared to regular roll my friend had. Service was good. Its not up to standard of the other breakers restaurants. Needs redecorating.
We had a wonderful evening at Echo. The food was wonderful, the prices fair, and the service outstanding. Our waiter truly made our experience a good one. He went out of his way to accommodate my parents who are both vegetarian by making menu suggestions and changes to meals. Also we were celebrating my Dads birthday and my parents anniversary. I told the hostess when we arrived and we were surprised with the most beautiful assortment of desserts after our meal ( complimentary I might add). He also included an additional guava ice cream to ensure my vegetarian parents could have something egg free if needed. I would highly recommend this restaurant and wish I could remember our waiters name so he can be recognized.
Not sure if I will rush back. I have been to Echo several times in the past and it was always good.....however, something seems to be different. First, they seat us next to the door of the party room....which ended up not only being the parties hangout, but the noise was a bit much.
We ordered the appetizer platter, which 1/2 that was on the plate was cold....when I eventually found the waiter, the did replace what was cold. The entrees were no better, my Wife’s entree was both tasteless and dry....were mine was laced with an incredible amount of salt....I am thinking the shaker dropped in my food.....
The one bright spot were the drinks....they tasted great and went down even better....but $20 for a martini was a bit much!
Next time I am looking for Asian Fusion, I’ll go to Kontiki...1/2 the price and the food is a 100% better!
My daughter picked this place upon recommendations from friends. It was for her birthday dinner. We made reservations, once we arrived we were seated immediately. Service was impeccable. Not once did I want for anything. Water was filled continuously, the server was nearby at all times. The food was absolutely delicious.Every last thing we ordered was perfect. Server was very knowledgeable of menu. They even brought it a complimentary birthday dessert tray. Such a nice place for a special occasion. Would definitely return.
Since I found this I have been here 3 times in a month. This is one of few upscale sushi spots with “real” sushi ( not cooked fish wrapped in rice- it’s not sushi people!) They serve quality ingredients with an excellent presentation and professional servers. Nice Thai options as well.
The bartender, Jess, was great. Very friendly and made great drinks. The waitress was fine, nothing amazing. This is definitely a place for a cocktail and people watching, but the actual food was nothing to write home about. Overpriced Chinese food. The Szechuan beef was way too sweet. The snapper was so fishy we couldn’t eat it. But the prices are what you would expect for palm beach.
Fantastic staff. Food was incredible. Quite reasonably priced for this level of quality and service. Menu has a nice variety—sushi, noodles, entrees—to suit everyone. Vegetarians have several options. When I go back to West Palm, I'm definitely going to Echo again!
Terrible meal at Echo. We were looking for a great Asian experience. After a decent tasting Echo sushi roll, we opted for the Hunan Chicken. It was awful. Very bland and the texture was more of a tasteless gravy sauce, rather than a robust spicy sauce. Our server comped our drinks, but we should have sent back and ordered something else. The GM left message to make it right, but we were already checking out and heading back home. I'd check a few other places before Echo.
Our server, Chris, was fantastic. He was attentive and really was the best waiter we have had in a long time. The cuisine is Asian and he helped guide us through the extensive menu. I got the three course meal and the sesame chicken did not disappoint. The lychee martini was delicious. My out of town guest was a chef and raved about the spare ribs and the desserts. We shared the chocolate lava cake, coconut soufflé and chocolate chip soufflé. They were very unique. I live near by and will go back again soon!
The sushi is so fresh and phenomenal. Ryan, the sushi chef, makes the most amazing sushi boats. He has this Palm Beach Cucumber Roll that he makes with baked conch. It was wonderful. The Hamachi is so fresh. The sea bass is flaky and buttery. The drinks are strong. The wine list was good. It was a great evening. Kudos to Ryan!!
Noodles overlooked and duck not soft enough.
Such a nice ambience but food need to improve for the price they charge.
My girls sushi rolls were mediocre. You can buy the same rolls at Publix for half the price.
Unfortunately, not coming back again.
Went for my wife’s birthday. We had early reservations at 5 pm so we could eat and hit a movie before having to be home for the sitter. Overall very nice, although we were the only people in the whole restaurant for about 45 minutes. We chose it because we wanted to see the Breakers Hotel (it’s owned by Breakers) but didn’t realize it’s off site of the main campus. They did have a conveniently shuttle that was very nice. Food was very good, service also good, overall a little pricey but it is the Breakers.
We were pleasantly greeted and seated promptly. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly.
We went to try the Grand Marnier Shrimp, which was fantastic. Three of our party had the shrimp and were happy campers. I love duck and found two kinds on the menu. I saw a Peking Duck item that was listed for two people. Our waitress stated that I could try 1/2 of the item with half of the duck. I was blown away buy both the juiciness, flavor and tenderness of this duck. The crispy skin covered the boneless duck portion which was served with three crepes and shaved scallions and cucumbers. All in all we had a great time and all plan on returning soon.
