Echo Ratings and Reviews
Terrible meal at Echo. We were looking for a great Asian experience. After a decent tasting Echo sushi roll, we opted for the Hunan Chicken. It was awful. Very bland and the texture was more of a tasteless gravy sauce, rather than a robust spicy sauce. Our server comped our drinks, but we should have sent back and ordered something else. The GM left message to make it right, but we were already checking out and heading back home. I'd check a few other places before Echo.
Our server, Chris, was fantastic. He was attentive and really was the best waiter we have had in a long time. The cuisine is Asian and he helped guide us through the extensive menu. I got the three course meal and the sesame chicken did not disappoint. The lychee martini was delicious. My out of town guest was a chef and raved about the spare ribs and the desserts. We shared the chocolate lava cake, coconut soufflé and chocolate chip soufflé. They were very unique. I live near by and will go back again soon!
The sushi is so fresh and phenomenal. Ryan, the sushi chef, makes the most amazing sushi boats. He has this Palm Beach Cucumber Roll that he makes with baked conch. It was wonderful. The Hamachi is so fresh. The sea bass is flaky and buttery. The drinks are strong. The wine list was good. It was a great evening. Kudos to Ryan!!
Noodles overlooked and duck not soft enough.
Such a nice ambience but food need to improve for the price they charge.
My girls sushi rolls were mediocre. You can buy the same rolls at Publix for half the price.
Unfortunately, not coming back again.
Went for my wife’s birthday. We had early reservations at 5 pm so we could eat and hit a movie before having to be home for the sitter. Overall very nice, although we were the only people in the whole restaurant for about 45 minutes. We chose it because we wanted to see the Breakers Hotel (it’s owned by Breakers) but didn’t realize it’s off site of the main campus. They did have a conveniently shuttle that was very nice. Food was very good, service also good, overall a little pricey but it is the Breakers.
We were pleasantly greeted and seated promptly. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly.
We went to try the Grand Marnier Shrimp, which was fantastic. Three of our party had the shrimp and were happy campers. I love duck and found two kinds on the menu. I saw a Peking Duck item that was listed for two people. Our waitress stated that I could try 1/2 of the item with half of the duck. I was blown away buy both the juiciness, flavor and tenderness of this duck. The crispy skin covered the boneless duck portion which was served with three crepes and shaved scallions and cucumbers. All in all we had a great time and all plan on returning soon.
Phenomenal happy hour at the bar and also at outdoor patio. Get there early because bar seating goes fast. Sushi rolls were tasty and tasted even better at half off happy hour pricing. Our bartender Jess was very friendly and creative with our specialty cocktails. We simply told her what we liked and she went with it with great success.
First time for me while in Palm Beach. A great prix fixé which included a a great spicy tuna roll, a main course of rock shrimp, (several whole shrimp) and fresh broccoli, and a choice of deserts, I had the Sorbet. All servings were almost shareable, all very generous. Roseanne our server was great and made us feel welcomed. A very enjoyable evening sitting outside.
Echo was "Palm Beach" expensive but the food was delicious and service phenomenal. Kudos to our excellent waitress Stephanie, and the gentlemen who made sure we always had water. Our dessert was beautifully decorated for my daughter's birthday and it was a lovely evening all in all. We didn't know it was "offsite" from the Breakers Hotel but they provided a free shuttle for which we only had to wait 3 minutes both coming and going. A lovely special occasion dinner.
though the food was good, the service was awful. our waitress roseanne was condescending and rude. when the bill came she tried to overcharge me for the bottle of wine, with no apology. we have been regulars here for quite some time...I will not come back after this experience...
Echo's Asian inspired cuisine was poor. I had an "authentic" Cantonese stir-fry with chicken and vegetables. The sauce was bland and the chicken had a rubber consistency. My wife had the Pad-Thai...she had three bites and didn't touch it again. "Worst" she has ever had.
Echo was a very nice experience but I wish i had known ahead of time it is best for everyday dining and not quite right for a special occasion. We were celebrating a birthday and were very well taken care of but it was not the higher end trendy fun I had envisioned. Best for semi-casual nosh and cocktails. Pick a regular occasion and enjoy!
Although the restaurant is listed as one at the Breakers Hotel, it's actually abiut a mile away. That was a bit disappointing but the food and service was not. Excellent fish and sushi dishes were well prepared. Very pleasant experience and would definitely return.
The service was wonderful our waiter, Chris, made us feel like regulars even though it was our 1st visit. Or drinks were acceptable but far to pricey. Our avocado tuna roll looked delicious but lacked something umm? Oh yeah tuna, after closer inspection we found the tuna hooray. Our entrees Miso Chilean seabass ans Combination Patai weren't bad. The seabass was weak on seasoning but the Patai was really good. All in all if it were not for the 155 price tag for 2 drinks, 2 appetizer and 2 entrees we could looking at 4.7+.
