ECHO St.Simons Island

Dinner was disorganized and the entree was cold and had sat waiting for delivery.
Service was awful and slow.

Would have asked fore refund but was New Years Eve.

Great views, attentive service, good food - nice experience

Meal and wait staff (Nitisha) were fabulous. There was a mix up on our reservation and they tried to put us in the bar area. Had our reservation for over a week....and wanted window front in main dining. Plenty of open tables.

Disappointed but we will be back.

We were driving around downtown looking for a place to have lunch outside. Wow... we won the lottery with this place. Lunched on grouper sandwiches and white wine outside overlooking the ocean! Somewhat pricey but it lived up to every expectation!! Highly recommend! Excellent service as well!

Nisha & Savannah were outstanding! Attentive, friendly, but not intrusive.

I highly recommend the Beef Wellington and the Coastal Cobb Salad. Both were excellent! The service was very good as well. It was a nice meal to celebrate a family birthday.

They were not following COVID-19 safety guidelines. Almost all of the servers and staff with the exception of the bartender were not wearing masks. The food prepper at one point sneezed then wiped his nose without a kleenex in the kitchen and didn't wash his hands after.

There was a rat running around the outside dinning area and I was told "well you asked to eat outside".

Terrible. Food was cold. Sent back and came back cold again. Manager didn't care. Server spent more time talking to his friends than serving us. Look at Yelp reviews, 3 stars

Great experience. Are outside so a little loud. Should consider restricting foot traffic through outside eating area. Otherwise loved it.

You can’t beat the setting! My daughters loved the cute shape of their pancakes and were talking about it all day. Yummy shrimp and grits, very filling with the poached egg. Very friendly and helpful staff. Love their holiday buffets—but obviously that is off the table right now. I hope they will be back in the future.

We went to ECHO the first time on 6/26/20. The young lady that waited on us was great. My prime rib meal was okay but not great by a long shot, my wife had shell in her crab cake BLT. There was a horrible fly problem, the server apologized and said we are trying to get rid of them. We had a reservation on 6/28/20, our 40th anniversary, food was a little better but should be better for what you pay for food. The fly problem was just as bad and when we said something to the server was not pleasant and said it's because they are a waterfront restaurant. Not impressed with him!!! We believe in giving restaurants a second chance, both times ECHO fell short. We frequent waterfront restaurants whenever possible, many with outside dining similar to ECHO and have never had a fly problem.

Great view and the grilled grouper was the best. Service a bit slow but the only problem was the flies. They made several attempts to wipe down the table but couldn’t get rid of the flies. Hard to enjoy a good meal with them flying around. Spoke to manager but he didn’t appear to be aware of the problem.

Great ambience, great food made for a very pleasant eating experience. I particularly want to call out the service by Ahmet who was outstanding. We had an outdoor location and the temperature soared into the 90s. They were able to find a table inside which was much cooler and they did that during the meal with minimum of fuss

We enjoyed the food, drinks and overall ambience of Echo. Highly recommend and will come back for another meal when we visit St Simons Island again

Many flies that made our meal miserable as we were swatting at them throughout our meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was good.

If only there were no flies in the dining room. Otherwise, always wonderful!!

Good meal , if you like sharing with the flies. Place is noisy with only a few people due to coronavirus. The flies and bugs were really disconcerting. There is no ambiance, they charge high prices for the view. Service was excellent food was good.

On vacation at resort where ECHO is located. They imply they are more upscale in the dining room and also have outdoor seating. I know things are adjusted due to COVID but the table was not set, there is no type of dress code. The very small dining room seemed crowded and was very noisy despite obviously being adjusted for social distancing. We showered and changed for dinner but they seated others who appeared to be straight in from the pool/beach who even remarked - are we underdressed? The restaurant was very loud. There were families present but the noise issue did not seem to be unruly children, just loud taking, etc when the restaurant sells itself as romantic and waterfront, etc.
We actually decided to leave before ordering because we felt dining in the restaurant would not be a good experience and to place a to-go order (there is no room service due to COVID only take out from this restaurant). The waiter insisted on placing the order for us and came and found us in the nearby lobby, which was one higher point.
The food was just ok and we thought a portion of 3 scallops and a modest amount of sautéed veg as an entree for $36 was out of line based on the style of food and restaurant. We also had a mediocre pasta but the fish portion was well seasoned and cooked. A mixed bag. Other take out meals during the day were better.

We honeymooned at the King and Prince 51 years ago and try to stop there as often as possible when we are driving back and forth between NC and Florida. The Echo has been delightful especially since we can eat outside. Food is always great and the personnel are wonderful as well.
Look forward to the net time!

Our food was excellent! Unfortunately, our service was poor. Havier was quick to tell us about last call on alcohol and food items, but very slow on getting things we needed...water, appetizers etc. He appeared disappointed when I ask that he bring my salad before the entree, he assumed that I would want them together.
We have stayed at king and prince several times and will be back again...not sure about Echo though.

Clean and friendly, perfect first experience eating out after/during covid. Food was great, and the view was beautiful!

For drinks, go with beer or wine. Bartender does not know how to make cocktails. Sa loins was very good and salads good.

The atmosphere is very chic relax, the food was amazing. (They had a limited menu due to the virus) but it was all delicious. This time I had the seabass and it was on point. LOVED the Taste and presentation. The crab cakes as an appetizer are my favorite.
The service was outstanding. The view is simply the best waterfront view you will have in a restaurant In the area.
Btw, the music they were playing on the speaker was very nice it definitely added to the relax experience.
Highly recommend making a reservation.

Visited ECHO during my recent stay at the King & Prince. First, the K&P staff, including, but not limited to, the restaurant staff did not practice the COVID-19 re-opening regulations. The tables were sufficiently spaced but some of the staff were not wearing their masks properly (a couple of the kitchen staff had their mask hanging from one ear and not covering their face, or they had the mask worn below their mouth, essentially just covering their chin). I ordered the shrimp and grits which would have been good had the food been hot. I sent it back and it came back the very same temperature. Our server did take 30% off our entire bill, which was nice. My date had to ask
our server to refill his water glass,which should never have happened given there was only one other table seated while we were there. Overall, the food was average at best.

I made this dinner reservation on Open Table a week ahead of time. Further I confirmed it the day before. When my husband and I arrived for our 7:00 dinner reservation, the hostess informed us they had no record of it. She told us they could get us a table in 30 minutes, but when we showed her the print out of the reservation and the confirmation, she became non-cooperative. We asked to see a supervisor, who was also of no help. At that point we left.

Very good food and service

Great service and good food. Loved eating while listening to the ocean waves hit the rocks. Overall it was wonderful!

Nice ocean front dining. Food was good but not exceptional or creative. Price was ok.

Wonderful oceanfront, outdoor, social distancing, dining experience with our family. Dog friendly too! 3 of us got the grouper sandwich which was amazing and so was the filet!

The hostess was very welcoming. The server was very attentive.The crab cake BLT was delicious but most of all I really enjoyed the mimosa:-)

Excellent preparation of the two fish courses that we had. The escargot appetizer was also good. I certainly recommend the establishment.
