ECHO St.Simons Island
Our server was wonderful! Food was good... view was awesome!
The meal was a little disjointed the way it was served. The roast beef was fatty and overcooked. There were no baked potatoes. The fish, soup and bison were good.
The staff were friendly and the view was wonderful.
We had a great, ocean-side window. Spectacular view; wonderful, quick, attentive service. Food was excellent and good portions. We also were away from the live music which would have been a negative had we bernvtight by it. Recommend highly.
Great food. Always have a good meal here. Great view of the ocean. Service is usually good, but not always great.
Could be the best food on St. Simons Island. Pumpkin soup with feta cheese was out of this world.
arrived a bit late but it was not crowded so we got immediate service.
food was tasty.
portions were enough and well presented.
had visiting family with us and they were impressed.
the oceanview and ambience is always fantastic.
My boyfriend and I came here for Brunch while on vacation. The seating outside was beautiful and our waitress was very good. I enjoyed my waffles with bottomless mimosas. However, my boyfriend was disappointed by the shrimp and grits & noted that they were bland.
This was a perfect Sunday Brunch. The food was delicious. The ocean view was wonderful. And the service provided by Kristen was outstanding. We even received a nice table visit by the manager, Steve. I highly recommend Echo!
Did not know would be eating in a hotel bar, lobby, resturant in one.
The King and Prince Resort never disappoints, and ECHO is no different. The menu offers a variety of fresh and delicious options, and the service is impeccable. The oceanfront view completes a unique dining experience!
I thought it was over priced vs the quality of the food. Breakfast in particular was very poor
Average meal, little overpriced.
Wanted a restaurant on the beach, while we were visiting the Island with some out of town friends.
I think I hit the jackpot with my selecting the Echo restaurant.
Not that there is much choice of beach front restaurants on St Simon's Island.
My reservation was for 12.30pm but when we realized we were going to be late there was no problem to change it to 1 pm.
We arrived at the King and the Prince and were immediately impressed with the ambiance and very friendly and warm reception .
We were seated at a seat of our choice and immediately waited upon.
Our hostess Vanessa was excellent, caring, helpful and charming.
Our view of the ocean was fabulous and the food tasted delicious.
We will return .
Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. We brought our dogs and they offered water. Apologized for the small wait.
Beautiful place and good service. Did not enjoy the band playing in the bar. Plus closing the outdoor patio during bar service hours is not good hospitality or best use of that beautiful space. Most people come to Echo to be able to enjoy the view and patio bar! The band may of been just for Valentines, hopefully not a continuous addition. That said I would recommend going to Echo
This place was some of the worst service I've ever had. Half of the food was cooked average and the rest was just plain bad. I will never set foot in this restaurant again.
Abdolutely incredible Valentine’s Day menu!!! Delicious. From foie gras to filet to incredible chocolate dessert bar, just a fantastic night out for these two couples.
Beautiful view. Great spot to watch the waves! Service was not consistent. Personable server but then she disappeared and we were forced to flag down other wait staff for water refill, condiments and check. Not a lot of food on a 22 dollar salad for lunch. Mostly just mixed greens, had two scallops, a couple slices of heart of palm and three or four slivers of asparagus. Tasted fine but as an entree salad at that price, I expected a little more. Husband's fish and chips were a little mushy, again just so so. Come for the view only...have low expectations on food and service.
Lovely experience. The food was awesome and our server was delightful.
Echo was Okay....food was good, but server was extremely interested in up charging us for every little thing. When we first sat down, we were told that we couldn't put an order in---not even an app for 30 minutes, because the kitchen was backed up?! Never heard of that before. All in all, won't be on the top of my list to returning anytime soon.
Visited on Prime Rib Friday night. Busy, service was super slow. They have a small kitchen & just can’t keep up during peak times. Took 55 mins to get our main course. Our waiter James comped us a round of wine which lessened the pain. The prime rib, however, was the finest I can ever remember tasting! Nicely seasoned & gently seared on each side, and the price for the 3 courses can’t be beat.
Food and service was amazing. Came for mine and my girlfriends 5 month anniversary, would recommend to anyone in the area. Worth the 1 drive from Savannah
Very attentive and genuine waitstaff. All food entrees were cooked to perfection with interesting flavors.
Food and service were great; however, the music was TOO LOUD!!!!! Made it difficult to have a conversation. We even asked for a quiet table....but still TOO LOUD.
Had excellent breakfast with several friends..Food was very good..Service with waitress Jackie was outstanding.. view of ocean and beach always lovely..
Enjoyable dining experience. Well managed operation and friendly staff. Look forward to returning again.
We had a reservation for new Year's Eve and the latest reservation we could find was 5:15pm. On arrival we asked to be seated with an Ocean view and they found us a lovely table with a great view. The menu was prix fixe but they gave us their regular menu as there were three vegetarians in the group. The food was delicious, the service attentive and friendly without being overly familiar. We were not rushed at all and had a fabulous evening. The weather payed ball too with a sunset that made for incredible photos. Fantastic experience.
I ordered a mixed green salad with grilled grouper for lunch, and it was the worst salad I’ve had on the entire island! The portion was tiny, the fish was gray in color and quite mushy, and the greens were tough. I also ordered a side of broccolini, and it was raw with stalks too thick to cut. Very disappointing! Gnat’s Landing can show you how to do this salad correctly!!!
This was the first time visiting and loved the southern food. Thank you for making us feel welcome.
Go for the view.
Although there is great seating, we sat where the view was blocked by a beam. I’d say the food was adequate but underwhelming. I got a the arugula spinach salad which was a nice option the day after Christmas. My mother in law got shrimp salad and did not like it. The did not charge us for the salad. On a nice day this location is probably awesome for the outside dining overlooking the water. If you’re in the mood for good seafood, there are better options.
We had dinner Christmas night and were disappointed that the only steak was a 24 ounce porterhouse. Way too much and not even good! The duck was very average!! The mixed drink was weak and tasted flat.
The wine was good as was the ice cream.
I enjoyed my meal here, even though I found the food a little disappointing. The turkey was dry. The other food I had was just satisfactory. The pumpkin pie was sub-par. My husband liked all of his choices, however. The dining room was busy, which I liked on Christmas. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Horrible Christmas experience. The service was incredibly slow and the food came out cold. We were seated so closely to another table that we were uncomfortable because they wouldn't stop talking to us and kept staring at us. The restaurant wasn't that busy so it wasn't understood why service was so awful. Prices were extremely high and not worth the $150.
Great waitstaff and overall very timely.
Wasn’t excited about christmas eve menu. Ambiance and service very good/excellent
Ambiance was excellent to the point we do not see a need for improvement. Prompt seating, prompt service and delivery, superb attention from server and no pressure to vacate upon completion of meal. We have already recommended Echo to several friends and we do plan to return. The only negative was the NY drip did have more grizzle than acceptable but the flavor made up for that.
Everyone did an exceptional job! Crystal set up a private room for my wife to meet her birth mother at the time of reservation. The day of, Stephen and the rest of the staff did a great job! Thanks
Food is good, but unprofessional service and sticky tables ruin the experience.
The food quality is okay but the view, the ambiance, and our great server, Noah Sabo, makes it a key place for us to go. We were very fortunate to have great live entertainment, Monique of Free Soul, was singing that night. The acoustics were much better this time than before. Love to be there to enjoy the ocean view and the friendly bar.
