How do you take a classic staple of American dining, the steakhouse, and break down the traditional thinking to create something entirely new and exciting? That was the question that acclaimed chef and restaurateur Sam Marvin (creator of the much-celebrated Los Angeles restaurant Bottega Louie) posed when he decided the time was right to reinvent what has long been the trademarks of the steakhouse genre – masculine vibe, dark rooms, fancy waiters, slabs of oversized beef and overly expensive pricing. The answer became Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse, located at the charming Tivoli Village just off of Summerlin Parkway; 15 minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip.

    Overall our group had a good experience. We were greeted by multiple staff members while being seated. All of them asked us if we were celebrating a special occasion, which we were. We were not offered anything to recognize the occasion, though. Our service was very good. Our drinks, appetizers, and entrees arrived in a timely manner. Plates were cleared promptly after finishing each course. Our food was good overall, although two members of our party noted their steaks were not as tender as they expected. The seating was comfortable. The dining room grew progressively louder as more guests arrived. As such, it became harder to hear each other at our table. We agreed if we dined here when the weather was cooler, the outdoor seating may prove to be a better option

    Absolutely awful. We left abruptly. We had reservations at 8. We get there a little before and the host tells us, “we’re waiting for tables to open up.” Why did I even bother making a reservation? Some goons who had a reservation at 745 who came in after 8 got seated before we did. We finally get called. The host asks if we’re celebrating anything. This makes me upset cus I specified it was our anniversary. She ZOOMS up the stairs. I’m wearing a dress so I can’t go up the stairs that fast. She asks us several times how many years we’re celebrating. She can’t hear us cus it is so god damn loud in the restaurant Echo and rig, when the hell did you guys turn into a night club??? We got sat, and we could not hear each other. Not to mention, it was HOT in the restaurant. It felt like I walked into a sauna. I looked at my boyfriend and told him I wanted to leave. We were seated for all of 30 seconds before we left. Too hot, too loud, staff doesn’t pay attention. No thanks.

    The food quality was great! Their mac&cheese is their best plate. The steak was really tender and our server was awesome - made sure drinks were refilled and gave his recommendations for sauces

    We went for the first time as Vegas locals to Echo and rig to celebrate our three year wedding anniversary. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the service, the food and honestly, they were always at our table refilling beverages, and the service is also very speedy. They did not make us feel like we were rushed out of there, and the quality and taste of the food was exceptional. The manager even came to our table and introduced himself. We will definitely be back!

    My wife and I went for our Anniversary. We were greeted by three different people each wishing us Happy Anniversary. Then dinner started . We ordered Gnocchi And portobello fries appetizers to be served with the main courses. My wife’s salad was sent back, something we almost never do, for wilted Lettece and brown Avacado. A new salad came out missing two ingredients, we said nothing. The waiter poured wine never to be seen again. The main course came, my Swordfish was barely warm and no appetizers. The whole dinner was upset and reordered the fries with the busboy. When asked by the mgr how was dinner we told him it was the worst in 25 years. He offered dessert , we refused, he comped dinner

    A very nice location away from the Las Vegas Strip. The food was delicious and well prepared. The entire staff was friendly and professional.

    Pleasant atmosphere with a nice view of the courtyard. Helpful staff and a modern menu. Limited options but what they offer is tasty and seasoned

    Brunch was more than expected, great service, portion size and tasty! Enjoyed the mushroom fries, along with steakhouse scramble, eggs Benedict and a waffle with fruit! Excellent!
