Echo Ratings and Reviews
Very pleasant evening. We got there at 5:45 and were seated right away. Food and service were excellent. Loved the ambiance. However, the bar was right behind us and as 7:00 approached, we had people leaning over us and around us and standing outside the door, waiting to be seated. A very uncomfortable feeling.
I don't really care for sushi, but if I'm going to indulge my wife who does, this is the best to have. The fried rice is great, service is excellent, and just all around an enjoyable experience going here. On weekends during season def great people watching at the bar area.
Superb asian food. We opted to sit outside where it is much quieter. Noise levels inside can be deafening. But that is the only negative to be said. Food choices are abundant. Went with recommended ginger beef and Thai curry chicken. Excellent, fresh and plentiful servings. Enough to do lunch the next day. Duck roll appetizer was also excellent. Worth the trip.
We have been to Echo many times and we always had excellent food. Unfortunately this was not one of those times. It was a special occasion and I was very disappointed in the food that me and my friend ordered. Our husband's had nice meals but ours (pad thai) was swimming in grease and was barely edible. I was disappointed that the restaurant didn't respond when I notified them of this afterwards.
A great find and very noise but worth trouble to hear your fellow diners. Started with the Kung Pao Lettuce wraps, salt and pepper calamari, and the duck in a bun. Only 3 pieces of the lettuce wraps came with the order and they are almost impossible to cut so for the 4 of us it was a bit difficult to share. The server should have let us know how many pieces were in the order and an option to add one more piece. Not withstanding that, all the starters were delicious! We also ordered the beef and broccoli which was outstanding. The pad thai was okay but with the various ways to have it prepared it could worth another try.
Have been eating at Echo for years now and it never fails to be a great experience. Whether it's with my husband for a special event like birthday/anniversary (when we always order the whole snapper yummy) or getting together with friends for happy hour when ALL cocktails/wine/beer are 1/2 off until 6:30 and all sushi also half off. The service is impeccable and friendly. The food is always tasty. The special cocktails are incredible. It is an expensive restaurant (part of the Breakers Hotel chain). But for those of you who aren't on a budget, it's a great place to eat.
Food was excellent, from beginning to end. The dessert was to die for and I am not a sweet teeth. Cocktails were very well done and presented. The ambiance was lively and fun. We had to wait half an hour for our reservation, only negative, but it gave us time to explore the cocktails at the bar, the barman was very helpful.
