Server was very attentive
My seafood linguine was great, 2 others had very good meals, but my buddy's ribeye was not great.
The noise level was a bit much for an intimate conversation

Good food, excellent service. The earl grey crème brule was surprisingly good. The decor is a bit dated and the place was quite empty when we went (dinner on a week night).

The service is excellent and we highly recommend the food. Bridget is a wonderful server! We come a few times a year and she remembers us by name. She truly cares about her guests and we always have a great experience.

Love to order from the menu especially at brunch.

A all time favorite spot to take first timers...A hidden gem in North Burnaby.

Notice they have changed the restaurant and it feels like a holiday inn restaurant now.

Sad to see EBO go.

Food was awesome. Lamb rack was over cooked but they replaced it for me with an extra garlic shrimp skewer, also they covered the deserts which was very considerate. The kids liked the surprise dessert ball.

Dodd was ok, and just 'ok'! We ordered beef cappuccino and local mussels to start, every nice presentation, taste was average. The main lamb chop was the only dish I felt worth the place. The sablefish on fried rice was so disappointed! Fish was ok, but rice and Very was over cooked. There's some burned black stuff mixed in the rice! Dessert was great!

Fantastic dinner with friends to celebrate a special birthday. We started with drinks in the lounge and then proceeded to the dining room where we enjoyed a long leisurely dinner. Great service, fantastic menu options but the best was the Sundae Surprise! We left the restaurant and headed to the casino floor and Personas bar for a little dancing!!

Two of us had the the same choices of Dine Out Special. The mussels were delicious. The link cod was very salty and a bit over done. Chocolate mousse was better than the other green tea dessert. Service from Sarah was superb!!!

The overall was great! For the dessert, matcha cheesecake I find it more like a pound cake and not a cheesecake. That was not what I expected. It's more like a cake and not a cheesecake. A little disappointed. Other than that it was great!

Overall it was not bad, but broken Espresso Machine for 1.5 week. Seriously? I had Rib Eye steak and it goes fine with mashed potatoes, but putting steak on top of mashed potatoes makes it difficult to cut. If you add to this terrible steak knife, it becomes a bit frustrating.

We have celebrated here over the years with our kid(s), extended family at Ebo and have always been blown away by the service and food. On this occasion we were going for New Year celebration/preview for birthdays.
We were planning on doing a big bash but from this experience we feel at a lost because the service and small touches were not there. Our server appeared overwhelmed by the two large tables he needed to service and occasionally came to check in on us. Typically our kid(s) were always treated with rock star service but request for an apple juice refill took longer than 20 mins with the explanation that the junior staff neglected to let senior staff know. Not super professional. Typically when we indicate dietary or special occasion for our reservation our server would immediately acknowledge those requests/needs when giving our menus- it seems this part of the service experience was missed. Food quality was fair but not outstanding and nothing special was done/suggested. Portion size was definitely downgraded as compared on prior visits. We were extremely disappointed...

I've been here several times with my husband - - food and service has always been pretty good if not great. I came here on Dec 30th, to have dinner with friends (and it was their first time at the restaurant). Overall, they were satisfied with the food. Service was a lot slower then usual that night, food can't out late. They also mixed up a few items and forgot to give us certain cutlery for specific dishes... In the end, we were there from 6:30 - 10pm..left without having dessert as it was quite late and kids needed to go home. Plus, we were worried dessert would take too long! We'd come back again, but hope the service picks up in the new year.

Host and waiter were excellent and catered to my needs. I was there for coffee and lunch and some quiet time to get some work done. They were respectful of this and I really appreciated it. I will be back again soon for sure!

I have dined at e.b.o. several times and have always been satisfied. Although I did not say anything to my server I found my steak frities a little disappointing this time. The surface of the steak tasted burnt. This will not stop me from returning!

I let them know we had event tickets ahead of time and the staff were amazing with keeping us on track with our limited time. My husband is a cook and doesn't like to go out to eat, but after Executive Chef Keith Pairs cooked such an amazing dish for him and left him speechless - believe me, that's hard to do!

Was counting on the Festive Lunch Buffet which I bring my team for every December only to find out it was not available on Tuesdays. We have done this for the past 5 years. Menu did not have a lot of choices and it took an hour for the food to come out after ordering. It should not take this long things like a Chicken Caesar Wrap or a Burger with no bun. Because there are 11 or 12 of us we also get the private room each year but not this year even though it was empty. Food was substandard. Will choose somewhere else for my group from now on.

I have been here before and it was awesome. This time I brought the family and they must have had an off day. There were 8 of us and only three other tables, otherwise empty at a Saturday brunch. The meal took 45 minutes from when we ordered. And then it came one plate at a time. By the time all of us were plated it was over ten minutes so that mine, which came at the beginning was cold and the sauce had congealed. I had it nuked, another couple of minute but that didn't help. Three other people also noted they had a cold meal. Very embarrassing to take family there when I had had such a good experience the first time at a work function. They did deduct the cold meal but I won't be going back.

Their annual festive buffet is amazing. Great variety, including sushi and dimsum, hot and cold entrees and a scrumptious dessert bar. Beautiful restaurant and great service.

I took at group of 8 here for a business lunch this week. The service was very good--staff was quite attentive, without being obnoxious. The food was good, nothing extraordinary, but everyone seemed to enjoy what they had. I had the prime rib wrap which was pretty standard, but the salad that came with it was great. Another guest commented that the Pad Thai with prawns was really good, and the prawns were a nice size.

Truly this is a fine-dining establishment, with chefs who have a passion for food and the people - not the table number - they serve, and nourish. Value, indeed, with chefs in higher-priced downtown Vancouver establishments neither as creative nor as accommodating of dietary restrictions or clientele preferences. Thank you.
