Attentive polite service, and great food. A very nice experience and not costly.
Great rolls for average price. Cramped to a corner if two ppl.
Not good sushi….. all tasted the same. Overcooked rice. Bland. Nice staff. Disappointing experience with the menu.
Count down New Year 2022! Very nice customer services, food was good😋
Quiet environment, delicious sushi and great service.
They sat us down at a table which is so close to the next table. Even though there was a plexi glass to separate the space, it was hard to move in and out, especially with us wearing thick jacket in this weather.
It was so uncomfortable and inconvenient for both our party and the next table’s. The distance was so close that we can both hear each other’s conversations. On the way to the washroom, we saw a whole lot of empty table; therefore, we requested to change to a different table but the server declined and say every table is the same. Then she brought out 3 glasses of cold water without asking for our reference. The glasses all have water mark on the rim, looks like they were washed and then used without dried.
Anyway, we still feel uneasy dining like that; so we proceed to ask the host see if they can accommodate us a different table. But the host also said no; she did explained their situation that all tables were reserved; even though it was past 6 and more than half of the restaurant were empty. So we left without because we didn’t feel comfortable dining in such a space.
Seems like they try to jam in as many reservations as they could in such a small space. We were sad because in the past we did have good experiences with Ebisu on Robson.
Food was delicious. Good for gathering.
Christmas dinner with family. The quality of the sushi was just excellent as was food presentation. Service was attentive. We will be back!
Food very good and creative.
Restaurant was dusty/ light bulbs/ behind booths on window sills. Needs a thorough cleaning.
The service was really good and the food was very unique.
Amazing food and service!
Steamed clams are not tasty and not good value. We loved everything else
The sushi and sushimi were really fresh and abundant portions. Really beautifully arranged, too.
We had a great time. Small mix up in our order but they were incredibly busy - not awful. Loved the food.
One server for a big section so she was overwhelmed with big parties and service ended up being bad.
This was some of the best sushi i ever had, really delicious and service was good too.
Overall experience was okay. There were 2 sushi rolls that were forgotten until we told the server. It took so long to get the rolls though. This is probably more of an issue with the kitchen missing orders than the server- ours was very polite and did her part to follow up. Food quality is good. some meat portions could be better. desserts are delicious.
Food was fantastic, service was top notch, one of my party has an diary and egg allergy they were all over it asking the right questions making sure of the ingredients, this is the second time ive been here i dont know the servers name but she took care of us before and was awesome, definitly my new go to place.
Love their happy hour menu!
We had a large party of 14 for my wife’s birthday. ALL the staff were friendly, excellent service, tasty food, allowed us to bring our own cakes AND they even played a happy birthday song for her. Thank you for making it a memorable experience for us all. Highly recommend and will reserve again for our next event.
Everything was fine altlhough the background music was too loud.
Fkod was good it just take loooooong time ome after another. We have to eait at least 5 - 8mins between one dish
great quality food at a reasonable price point. Friendly service
Celebrated my sister’s birthday here. We didn’t need to wait since we already had a reservation. The service was slow but understandable as it was also busy. Food portions were good. Taste was average. The chicken teriyaki was awesome
We were taking some friends out for their first sushi dinner, and this was not representative of a good meal and good service.
Our food was mediocre, and it was a fair price.
We wrote in advance to request a call back to discuss gluten free options.
We did not receive a call back.
When we arrived, no one there was aware of our request.
Finally the manager helped.
We ordered oysters that never arrived until we asked at the end.
We ordered another California roll after that, and waited 20 minutes for it, after inquiring about its whereabouts three times.
Despite the availability of tables, and Covid restrictions,we were seated right next to another party.
It was quite noisy and difficult to converse.
The waitresses were friendly, but not very attentive.
I don’t think we will go back.
Went with friends for lunch. Food was delicious and price was great. Service was fantastic.
Me and my friends come to this location often; this was our first time back since the pandemic for my birthday. We were overall happy with the food and service! The only thing that took us aback was forgotten orders and order delays but that’s understandable as we were a big group and the restaurant was very busy. The service was great as always, the servers here are very kind and accommodating.
Saturday night, super busy! Use to dine here before but it’s been awhile. Notice the menu looks better now but portion is definitely smaller which makes it more expensive.
The Food was absolutly delicious! The service really friendly. It was a bit a long waiting time, but everything was amazing!
Sashimi was fresh and doing the torching of sushi on the table was fun.
ebisu’s happy hour menu has changed. There’s not as much options as before :( We chose to sit out on the patio overlooking Robson street, which was great.
It was all very good! We definitely will be back
Better than I expected. Thoroughly enjoyed the happy hours.
Sushi and rolls were quite good. Avoid the braised short rib - too tough. Too many screaming children in the restaurant to really enjoy the atmosphere. Will go somewhere else in the future.
Every time we go there, we have an amazing experience. The food and the service are great. I should say that after COVID we noticed some changes regarding the food quality. Lately, it has been getting better.
Service was awful. Food came before drinks, and we ordered drinks right away. Oysters had shells inside, and very un even in size.
Great service and delicious sushi. We went there for happy hour and it was busy but quiet. There is outdoor seating and the restaurant faces a little plaza set up with a few games (bean bag throwing, connect 4, etc) in Aug.
Tempura was amazingly good, light and crunchy and not too oily. Minimal menu, but good variety and great prices. Slightly off the main road, so even on the patio, the noise level was fine. And the service was great. I would definitely try this place again.
Impromptu dinner with a couple friends! They’re trying sushi for the first time so wanted to give them an experience! Food was excellent! All the torched/Aburi dishes are must-try! Esp the salmon poppers, we needed 2 servings! The seafood was fresh! It is kinda pricy for 8-16 pieces of sashimi.
Knocked off a couple stars as when we made a second order to the kitchen, we did have a bit of a wait, but we were busy chatting, so it was fine, but yes, timely in between dishes served.
Knocked off a star as we did see Mickey Mouse lurking on the patio outside! eeeek…
