Oysters and burgers! Nuff said !
This is a dingy and tired place with chipped and scarred tables. Too bad the place is so awful because the food is not that bad.
This place is kind of like an upscale coffee shop. Food was very good and they checked for vaccination cards which was nice to see. French fries were really good. Nice and crispy and salty. My friends burger looked better than my grilled chicken sandwich. It was good, I just wish it was a chicken fillet as opposed to pieces of chicken. But I enjoyed it.
Beet salad was very tasty. Chicken was good, but its hot pan was dangerous.
Love the salmon burger at Eats. more places should have salmon burgers! Also the kale/pear salad. Loved the food, which was great. Unfortunately the table I sat at was adjacent to the door and between patrons coming in and out, and waitstaff going out to serve people outside I was very cold for most of the dinner. Hopefully they put up the typical wintertime barrier around their entrance sometime soon or stop using that table!
I would definitely go to Eats and will be back. Just won't sit at table next to entry!
A nice lunch before heading off to the Met. Our server was valiant and as attentive as he could be given the number of patrons he was attending to. The food was good. The price was good. What else need be said?
Brunch was nice. Food was excellent as always. Outside seating was comforting.
The food was generally average, although the French fries were delicious. Tuna tartare very lumpy and lacked any real flavor.. Service was excellent considering there were only two waitresses for the entire restaurant inside and out. The outside eating space was bare bones, with dirt- filled planters and no screen to separate a gritty Third Avenue. It is a challenge making the best out of having to sit outside on a noisy street but there could be way more effort to make that outdoor space more inviting and appealing.
Only issue is when we arrived for the 8:30 reservation they asked us to order ASAP cuz the kitchen closed at 8:40. Didn’t make sense why they’d allow an 8:30 reservation then. Otherwise was great.
Great place for a date, great servers!
Food quality poor
This is a solid place - food is always very good & staff is always great.
The restaurant got worse since the pandemic. Smaller burger, higher prices, a homeless beggar came right up to us at out table by an open window and was very aggressive (no help from staff). The worst? We just bought a Groupon and it wasn't accepted. Our waitress told us the restaurant has notified Groupon and told them to stop promoting, but it's not happening. We're out the bucks unless we contact Groupon and they refund, but we were up for oysters. Not at the prices on the menu, though. We used to love this place. We won't be back
My dad is such a picky eater but my mom and I love to be more adventurous with eating out. Eats had great options for everyone and the oysters were fantastic.
I love everything at Eats. The food is some of the best in the city, the staff are incredible and they make one of the best dirty martinis. I keep coming back here because of how much I enjoy it, can't wait to go back again!
I love oysters and mussels and what I ordered were very good . I believe my reservation was for 7:30 and so I thought it bizarre that I was told at 8:30 that they were closing! There were other people there and I hadn’t done anything wrong. This restaurant is down the street from my apartment but I certainly felt unwelcome.
The staff was pleasant and attentive! We tried all the oysters! They were fresh and delicious.
I met up with a friend for a 7:30 reservation, which strangely required a credit card to hold. That’s a first for this spot. But my friend and I have always liked Eats, so it didn’t deter us. The food was great, as always. However, by 8:45, the hostess (who was otherwise lovely) asked us to finish our meal because they’re closing. They advertise closing at 10pm. We never would have gone if we knew they’d ask us to leave before dessert. We had two martinis, wine, oysters, clams, steak tartare, honey mustard chicken... we ordered well, but in the end we did not feel welcome.
Made reservations for 9:30pm we arrive and waiter says kitchen is already closed. We spend half an hour driving just to have the kitchen closed.
Saw a mouse
Oysters weren’t great
Didn’t take anything off the bill after we saw a mouse and asked for our food to go.
Got home food was sub par
This has become one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. Great food, good drinks, lovely setup and the service is always impeccable. Highly recommend for brunch, dinner or even drinks and a snack!
Those were among the freshest oysters I've had in a very very long time. I would happily go back and handily recommend it to my friends :)
Fun vibe, good drinks, good burger, good service.
As always... a PERFECT meal.
Love Eats. Such a great neighborhood place, reliably good. Love the kale/pear salad and the salmon burger. Very tasty sweet potato fries.
Our food was just fair. I was told I would enjoy it. The setting for Covid was great which is why we chose it.
The service was good and both of our lunches were tasty. The ambiance needs a makeover.
We treat Eats as our local! Discovered on Sunday that we had been there around 100 times since they opened. We go for brunch, lunch or dinner. Great raw oysters if that is your thing( I prefer he fried oysters). The best burgers in the neighborhood. Don't believe the hype about Melons, these are better. The prices are reasonable, not cheap but value for money. It is one of the only places you can get a perfectly cooked lamb burger. There is a burger for everyone here even vegetarians! The staff is always welcoming and helpful giving suggestions and not just trying to upsell you!
Eats is a neighborhood institution. The staff there are always friendly and the food and drinks are creative and delicious.
Excellent all around!
Great service, food was fast and good, drinks were well made
The service and drinks were good, but the burger was pretty average. I’ve definitely had a more flavorful burger for the same price or cheaper at other restaurants in the city.
Had a lovely lunch of mussels and fries.
Our server was great and everything was automated- there was even a priva
Best outdoor eating experience ..... safe and tasty
The burgers and drinks were very good and the service was gracious and attentive! The outdoor dining experience was very pleasant with private covered seating zones that helped block the winter winds. Very enjoyable!
The outdoor seating was enjoyable. The martini was delicious, good value with the prix fix menu. Would go again.
Pandemic dining in winter has been extremely challenging, but Eats has it all figured out. Dining in an individual structure made us feel very safe and very secure. I thought it was romantic and intimate as well. The heating unit worked fantastically and we were actually able to remove our coats. The cocktails were awesome and the food was amazing. They have the best steak burgers in town and were cooked perfectly to order. The onion soup was off the charts. The service was efficient and the button they provided at the table to summon the waiter was a nice touch. I can’t wait to go back there.
Love the new huts/sheds especially during this time...also loved the Button the press for service, order and check.
