The food ad service was outstanding
Went for a birthday brunch. Recommend reservations. Doors opened at 11am and there was a line of people waiting. Immediately full. Very well trained and friendly wait staff. The owner is involved with food preparation and often delivers it to the table. Very inventive menu and creative ways of serving traditional bunch food. We had the captain crunch pancakes as a table appetizer along with candied bacon and tater tots. All excellent. For our main course three people shared two dishes which was perfect. The eggs benedict and the fried eggs were excellent. Also the pork dish was also very tasty. (refer to menu for details of each dish). Most of us also had a prosecco spritzer or the memosa (each very good) It was a very relaxed atmosphere on a beautiful sunny Sunday and at no point did they make us feel rushed. We got to hang out and enjoy conversation and the day. We will go back again. Enjoy.
This is the second time I've been to Eating House. The first time was for dinner and the food, especially the Chicken and Waffles, blew me away. The portions are HUGE. I brought my daughter and her boyfriend for brunch hoping to get the same dish but it wasn't offered. What we got instead was truly incredible though. The food is very unique and the staff is very prompt and friendly. I'll definitely go again!
Great place for a relaxing dinner. Very good food and the staff was awesome and very attentive. Definitely will return.
I highly recommend a reservation. First time I went it was a 2 hour wait. Second time with my RSVP I was seated right away. Small location but the food is out of this world and worth the visit. All plates are unique and different. The signature captain crunch pancakes are a must! I order them as a dessert since they are very sweet and the portion is big enough to share. For my main plate I ordered the Calentado (rice, beans, lechon, plantains, fried egg, and chimichurri sauce)... Amazing!
Great food and service, as always! Changing menu, and chef is greatly involved in plate preparations.
Delicious chicken and waffles. Great service.
I had been hearing about this place for quite some time and I'm glad I finally went. The food exceeded my expectations. Now, it could just be that the date itself was so boring that the food got the benefit of being far more interesting. But, I doubt that. The coconut ice on the Heirloom Tomato salad was ingeniously delicious. And, I'm not a duck eater, but this duck really changed my perception. And the gouda ice cream with the peach tart...Lord God! I think this is how we were intended to have cheese. I anticipate coming back soon to eat brunch here and many, many more dinners.
The service was great and and the food was excellent!!
My friend and I went to Eating House for a Sunday Brunch. Thankfully we had made a reservation so had no issue getting a table. Between the two of us, we shared the candied bacon, bk hash browns, carbonara eggs benedict and cap n' crunch pancakes. For a beverage, I had the guava mimosa and my friend had the tang mimosa. All of the food was delicious and we would highly recommend it all.
Luke was a great waiter and we would recommend the tomatoes, squash and carbonara
Excellent restaurant with a great ambiance. There are a few items on the menu but everything is made well.
We tried many small dishes and all are very good. With special request for vegan choices and the chef is very nice that changed some ingredients to accommodate. Fried chicken with waffles and risotto dishes are disappointments, they tasted flat.
Went to EH twice this week with family. Like the creative ideas on the menu. Dressing and sauce on the food are great, fresh ingredients used. Lots of excitements, e.g. the beef tartar.
One disappointment though is their signature dish, fried chicken and waffles. Had this dish a few months back and the chicken was soooo delicious, waffles were just ok. But had it again a few days ago, the flavor of the chicken is just fair. Last night's was simple ok. Don't understand what's happening in the process of cooking the fried chicken. But will not order it again.
My wife's favorite restaurant!
I've been here 3 times and I love it more and more each time! The pasta carbonara is my favorite, this last time there I had the Tiradito. OH MY GOD!!! Amazing!!
Always delicious and fun!
Great food and service. I am going back for sure to try other plates in the menu. Portions are a good size, you can share with no problem. You need reservations if you don't want to wait a long time.
As always, the food was great. Eating House is still our favorite spot for dinner. Keep up the great work and how about getting the Brussels sprouts onto the dinner menu!
At the outer limits of the Gables, you'll find a rare gem. Casual, fun and with a menu that aims to whet you're appetite with a lot of creative, deliciously prepared small plates, it is a fantastic example of fun food with quality, sophisticated ingredients that are as surprising as the combinations theyve created. The service is awesome, friendly, wine list is good. It's a great time for a fun, casual dining experience that you'll want to return with friends to again and again.
Tomato salad Is just incredible, as was chicken with waffles. Everything was good, excellent service . Only negative is that small menu had almost nothing lite and "clean".
We've been to Eating House many, many times. Love it every time. Problem is, whenever it's not AS mind-blowing, it's a bit of a letdown. That being said, it was still delicious.
The zucchini fritters were awesome. Crunchy, nice amount of salt.
The halibut was good, but you have to eat all the components togethers, otherwise it's just ok (the fennel by itself is very bitter, the halibut not seasoned enough). When you eat the halibut, WITH the fennel, WITH the strawberry, then it's great.
And finally, the chicken and waffles. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The waffles were a little overdone. Not NEARLY enough syrup. They've done better chicken and waffles before.
Again, all that being said, it's one of our favorite spots in Miami. LOVE IT
Been here afew times now, and it never gets old. Always something new to try. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Do not be shy to ask for their recommendation on anything. Entrees were excellent as usual. Everything is well plated and look great. Very unique and inventive appetizers. Great fusion of different flavors. Always a great experience trying new things that the Eating House cooks up.
Last night was my 6th visit to the Eating House. And as always everything was perfect! I personally try to make every time there is menu change. Some of the highlights of last night meal was the Asparagus with soft egg vinaigrette, the Scallops, and Halibut, and the coconut rice pudding. Every dish just kept coming out better and better. All the components of every dish work so well with each other in taste and presentation. Service as always did a fantastic job of presenting the menu and wine selections for the evening. And it's always a great feeling when they remember your face and welcome you back. Never a dull moment at the Eating House. Highly recommended for anyone who still hasn't been!
We decided to make reservations at Eating House for a trip to Miami from Detroit. The food was amazing, we even ordered two appetizers to try the daily special and a "classic". The staff was very attentive and Eating House has an awesome Beer/Wine list. We're already looking forward to our next trip to Miami to gorge ourselves on some more of the delicious food.
This place lives up to its reviews! The food is truly special. The menu changes daily and it's clear that the choices are well thought out based on freshness and season. Each dish we tried was better than the next. The food was prepared in unique ways with creative, yet simple combinations. The price is a bit higher than average, but well worth it. We will be going back!
Fourth visit and still good! Love the service! Space could be bigger and ambiance isn't what it should be. Wish they had a full bar.
I made reservations and the table was ready for us within 5 minutes of us arriving. It's a bit loud but the food is amazing! We had a couple of different plates that were all delicious, we had the calentado, carbonara Benedict, Cuban torejas (a must try) and hash browns! I personally wasn't a big fan of the guava mimosa but that won't stop me from going back. I do recommend making reservations since the wait time could reach over an hour outside.
Eating house experience was great! We went early on Saturday evening for our first time . Very impressed with sharing dishes which were all delicious, fresh and so different from any other restaurant ! Our service was outstanding with 4-5 servers attending to our table. The sea scallops and eggplant were exceptional! Creativity in the kitchen! Desserts big enough to share, great wine selections! Overall we had a great evening of new food served attentively and well priced for the quality of the dishes! Will return.
Every time I have gone to Eating House I leave more than satisfied. Food is awesome. Service is top notch. I haven't tried a menu item I didn't like yet. My favorite restaurant in Miami.
If I had to eat one thing everyday for the rest of my life it would be Eating House's pasta carbonara.
The wait staff was pretty amazing too. Just a great overall dining experience. I can't wait to go back with more friends and explore more of the menu.
The food is amazing very unique creations that you will find nowhere else
I've only been here for lunch but the food is amazing-I've tried to make a reservation for brunch on the weekends but they are always busy-I'm sure the food is worth the wait.
I'll be back
The service here is absolutely excellent. The food is delicious and well made. They really get creative!
Food was excellent (except for the heirloom tomatoes dish). Service outstanding. The place is a bit cramped. Great time overall.
A menu that really thinks outside of the box!
Everything was delicious- the best
way to enjoy Eating House is to share among friends!
I love the way that the menu is composed. It's always got surprising elements that I would never put together at home and yet somehow come together and a delicious way. Definitely adventurous. Try new things. You won't be disappoint
