Eat Street Social is in Minneapolis, Minnesota and offers a beautiful dining experience for those in the area. Brunch and dinner menus are available, with various events taking place depending on the day you visit. This restaurant has an elegant interior and a fine dining menu that will tantalize the taste buds. The plating at Eat Street Social is just as enjoyable as the taste of the actual food.
Classic breakfast items, such as the duck confit tamale, are on the brunch menu. Also offered are sandwiches, called sandies, which include the Eat Street Burger and fried egg BLT. For dinner at Eat Street Social, you can enjoy soup and salad, small plates and snacks, as well as entres and even dessert. The Amish chicken breast is a favorite and comes with dumplings, haricot vert, mozzarella, sherry and ham.
Great food and great cocktails! Can't wait to go back!
Had never dined at Eat Street, but will definitely be back to sample more cocktails and food choices. A friend and I met for drinks and a light supper prior to a gallery opening and totally loved the atmosphere. The bar staff were super friendly and the wait staff were prompt, helpful, informative. Our dinners were fresh, creative and delicious! My friend's salad came with a perfectly cook soft boiled egg on top, my arugula salad had the addition of pine nut brittle - awesome! The cocktails were yummy and strong. Well, what's not to like?
We really liked the decor and casual ambiance. We ordered small plates and loved every bite of the market cheese plate, scallops and rosemary gnocchi. The chocolate chili cake is exceptional.
Server was rude. I ordered the lamb chops my girlfriend ordered the burger. The lamb chops were brought out within 10 minutes, but apparently they were another tables order. The server saw this mistake, after I had already eatin a lamb chop and some of the couscous and took my plate away saying "It was mistake, I have to take this". About 15 minutes later the plate came back along with my gf's burger and it had obviously been microwaved. Her burger was okay except for the massive amount of butter on it.
Sorry for the long write-up, but I left the server a $0 tip because of this when normally I tip 25%.
We had a very enjoyable evening at Eat Street. We were heading to another event and our waitress kept us on a perfect schedule for a well-paced dinner. Loved the pre-dinner specialty cocktails, delicious small plates and entrees.
All around amazing experience. We have been coming for 3 years now and are continuously impressed by the staff and the fact that you can tell they enjoy what they do. Can't say enough about the Old Fashioned and the Duck Breast was among the best in the city. We will be back.
Fabulous offerings for brunch...BLT w/fried egg, yummy. Generous portions can easily be shared.
By far this was one of my more memorable dining experiences. The owner came out and greeted me, which never happens anymore. The food was amazing and the service impeccable.
Nothing for kids. We were 2 adults and one child going to the Childrens theater (only 4 blocks away)and there is really nothing for a child. We ended up getting the cheese and crackers for her. The menu is very small so not much variety ie: one sandwich, one ck entree, one beef entree... Our server was very nice but we had to ask 2 people before we could find out what the market sandwich was. Honestly with the plethora of options in that area we would not go back here. It was 5:45 on a Saturday and all of the other restaurants were busy and this one wasnt which is always a bad sign
This restaurant was a delicious stop for brunch with close family on a Sunday afternoon. Would have been better without the drunken people at the bar (at 2 pm!!) but other than that, it was excellent. Our server, Chase, was outstanding!
We were happy with the food and drinks. They have a very imaginative drink selection.
The food was absolutely incredible [or the Gnocchi as your meal, you won't regret it!] The outdoor patio is charming and our server was super knowledgeable and really helpful.
This was a fun place with great food and wonderful service. We sat at the bar and enjoyed wonderful cocktails throughout the evening. Bartender was attentive and was able to make recommendations based on our flavor preferences. It was a relaxing and fun evening.
The hamburger was delicious. Here's the ingredients: Eat Street Burger, half pound beef burger, smoked gouda, onion marmalade, preserved tomato. I don't normally write reviews, but I had to pass on the quote from one of our party of three. The fries were very good as well. We all ordered the hamburger, we ate out doors. Inside was too noisy.
I have dined at ESS several times before and I've always enjoyed my experience there. On this particular occasion I wanted to treat my parents to a nice dinner somewhere they hadn't been before. It was actually my first time ever sitting in the main dining area. Every time I've been there before I've sat at the bar. It wasn't particularly busy this night, so I don't know if it just makes a big difference where in the restaurant you are seated, but the acoustics were noticeably bad. My parents and I found ourselves yelling just to carry on a basic conversation, and while our server was very sweet and thorough, she was very soft spoken and we could hardly hear what she said. We all completely missed what the specials were because we didn't want to ask a 3rd time...
Aside from the acoustics everything else was up to the standards I've experienced before. My parents both ordered the burger on my recommendation and both agreed its a top contender for the best burger in the Twin Cities.
The restaurant had a distinct smell that wasn't pleasant. They didn't have the bottle of wine we ordered and the waitress just opened another one without validating it with us first. Food wasn't anything special and service was so-so especially seeing that it wasn't busy at all.
Food took a while to arrive. Service was poor. We had a dessert but no eating utensils to eat it with and after asking one waiter to get us some spoons and ignored
one person in our party had to ask the bartender for some spoons
We were there 90 minutes I would suggest to not be in a hurry.
Food was great (Creative!) Everyone in our party enjoyed their selection and the desserts!! Drinks were very unique and our server did a good job of describing them to us. Parking, as expected in that area, can be tricky but they warned me of that ahead of time and suggested the valet. Look forward to repeat visits to try the brunch and also dining on the patio.
Good beer list and inventive cocktails. Our group enjoyed combination of burgers, salads and entrees. All were tasty.
Exceptional cocktails and attentive mixologists. Thank you for hitting the mark every time.
The food exceeded our expectations. I had the sirloin with the blue cheese au gratin potatoes that was stupid good!! My boyfriend had the hamburger which he really enjoyed. The staff was very attentive. Very, very impressed. We will be back.
Came here with family in town, and it was a fun spot, I will definitely be back. Everyone had great meals, though I got the Brie and Jalepeno Crepe and it was a let down. Didn't have jalepenos the first time, but even when it was brought back right it was just hunks of brie and sliced jalepenos in a bland crepe, not great, but not horrible. Everyone else loved their food.
1 note that we had reservations at 10, which is when they open, and we walked in with the workers and the lights weren't on yet, so it took a bit to warm up, so maybe go a bit later once the energy of the place has picked up.
Great food. Understandably busy in the weekends led to longer waits in between seeing our waiter. Other than that, great place that is recommended.
We were looking forward to dining at The North End BBQ after hearing great reviews. Unfortunately, we didn't experience what others had posted. We were seated promptly in the bar and we weren't even asked if it was OK to be seated in the bar. As expected, the bar was noisy and crowded. We were greeted by a waitress who brought us water. Took another 10 minutes for her to return to take our drink order. We gave her our drink order and dinner orders thinking it might be a long time for her return. We ordered an appetizer that came out very cold. She never returned to asked us if the appetizer was ok. We waited 55 minutes from the time we ordered dinner before it arrived. The food was very good but the service was not at all. We even noticed two parties on either side of us received their orders long before us and we were seated there at least 15 minutes before they arrived. We even witnessed another server just toss the check onto the table next to us. She never said thank you for coming - nothing. The value of the food was good but the poor service would not entice us to return to this restaurant. Wish we would have had a better experience.
I had always heard "Go eat at Eat Street Social!" but it took 5 years for me to make it there. I feel like I wasted 5 years of my life. Every single bite of food was infused with so much flavor my friend and I couldn't help but say over and over how delicious it was. I'm a foodie but I also LOVE cocktails, and they have a fun, rare mix of liqueurs and bitters for their drinks.
I live in the area but had never been. Great date spot with great cocktails and classic food comfort food with a spin. Had two different Bloody Mary's that were both delicious, seriously recommend the one with rosemary. Delicious Canadian bacon in the Eggs Benedict!
We were served the wrong meal, we had to remind the waitress multiple times to bring us what we had asked her for. The food was just ok for the price. I would go back for drinks - I thought the bar area was nice.
On a whim, a friend and I decided to have dinner here. Granted, it was the Saturday before Valentine's Day and our reservation was for 6:30pm, but hey - at least we got a table. I must say, we left very impressed. The service was attentive but not over-bearing. The heating system was wonky (it was a COLD night) and the dining room was either comfortable (almost too warm, but not quite) or freezing (almost as if the A/C had kicked it). We talked to a waiter (manager?) about it, and within 10 minutes not only was it taken care of but complimentary glasses of sparkling wine appeared at our table. Impressive. Classy. All-around great attention and service. And the food was really decent. The pork chop, in particular, was really good. My only complaints would be that that the red wine was way warmer that room temperature (even the glass was warm), and the "half chicken" was a joke. It was SO SMALL. Like, really a small bird. I actually wonder whether it was a chicken, it was that small. Perhaps it was a game hen?
We had not been to Eat Street Social in a while and needed to give them our business once again. The people are GREAT, the food and drinks are EXCELLENT, and the service impeccable. We also found out one of our very favorite bartenders who use to work at La Belle Vie, is now working at Eat Street, so another GREAT reason to go again!! Thanks for another great experience and wonderful evening!
We had a simple reservation for brunch with our grand daughters. For starters, the lattes took forever and arrived cold. After placing our order, we waited for 1-hour for our food to be served. Our plates came staggered taking them three deliveries to the table to serve everyone. And.....the place was not at all busy. Their food, by the way, was mediocre. This makes it easy.....don't go back!
Delicious meal with a hipster vibe. Calimari wasn't great (too salty), but the sirloin, burger, and bread pudding were amazing.
I don't even know where to begin to describe our experience at Eat Street Social. My husband and I were in town for a "baby-moon" to spend some romantic time together before our daughter arrives in a couple months. Our waiter was extremely friendly and gave perfect suggestions for food and drink. Since I couldn't have anything alcoholic, he brought me one of their hand-crafted vanilla sodas. It was like a delicious dessert! So good! The food was out of this world. My husband got the lamb chops and I got the pork chop. The smoky flavor and the tenderness of my pork chop made it one of the most tasty entrees I have ever had. After our meal, we left to seek out some other bars but ended up going back to Eat Street for one more drink before heading back to our hotel. The bartenders' energy was fun to watch. The head bartender was extremely engaging and made a pregnant woman's night by bringing us a dessert, on the house - just for coming back that night. So impressed by this place. I will definitely be recommending it to all of my friends and spreading the good word!
Dinner with 3 girlfriends, our server was great with wine and food recommendations.
Great small plates to share and outstanding cocktails.
Amazing! Great place to have brunch!
I am a kid and I liked the prime rib dish and loved the service.
P.S. it was really cold in the restaurant
The only issue for us is that it was noisy. Just getting old, I guess.
I was a great experience.
I hadn't made it to Eat Street Social yet, so I was a little nervous to plan dinner there for vendors in town from LA - but they RAVED! Some table faves were the lamb chops, the chicken and waffles, the steak and the entire app menu! Sounds too good to be true - but we were in hog heaven. Plus the wine list was delightful!
From the ambiance, drink specials, unique food selection, and knowledgeable & friendly wait staff, Eat Street Social must be on your list to try! We had the Arugula and Spinach salads, both of which I'd definitely recommend! Also the Calamari starter was the best I've had. The wait staff were tentative but not overbearing...all around a great experience!!
The staff members were incredible. They talked you through everything and helped to find out what really peaked your interest. My mouth is still watering thinking about the steak tartar and the pork chop. The drinks were well crafted. I was truly impressed with what they pulled together for off menu drinks. I will definitely make another stop next time I'm in Minneapolis.
