Delicious! Four of us had dinner and we each ordered something different and all four dishes were amazing. Highly recommend this place!
Went here before the theatre and was really very pleasantly surprised. Really liked the place. The food and service were both top-notch. Will definitely be back....
Fantastic food with a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Dress up or down as much as you want and enjoy the live music.
While our waiter was very nice, it was the slowest meal we have ever had. We were there with our young kids and it took well over an hour to get our food. At a certain point our kids started going crazy, rightfully so, as we were feeling the same way. We had to rush through our food which was cold from sitting around on a counter. Don't waste your time.
As usual, food was delicious and plentiful. Despite the holiday weekend craziness, the staff did a great job. Very nice time overall. That's why it's our go-to place.
This place used to be good. The menu is now dumbed down to predictability and blandness. No oyster bar on the weekends until 4pm. The food took over 45 minutes to arrive after ordering and they appeared to be short-staffed. We were really looking forward to an elevated dining experience and oysters. Not going back, that's for sure.
Great place. Wonderful food. Lovely ambience. Friendly attentive service.
Excellent service, nice setting and I can recommend Mama’s meat loaf. Delicious and large portion. Also appreciate a restaurant that provides a decent sized glass of wine vs. many that now provide a mini glass while pretending that they are serving a “glass.”
Had dinner on Feb 2, 2019 with family. Requested Haley or Taylor, and neither were working that evening., so that was the first disappointment. Second, I ordered the Ribeye Steak that was not cooked med, but actually almost raw and cold in the middle. Sent it back to be cooked a little more, but it wasn't to my liking. I did however take it to go not to make a fuss. It was a busy night as the restaurant was out of at least 4 menu items, so I'll take that all into consideration for my entree not being cooked as I ordered. We will be back.
Waited an hour for the food; they had a party of about 10-12 in another room. The waffles were cold. wouldn't go back.
We had a great dinner at Eat on North. Excellent salad, and the large size was plenty for 3 of us. Delicious pork chop, and they accommodated my aversion to beans by substituting roasted carrots which were great. My husband's lamb chop was tasty but a bit on the small side portion wise, although there was enough pork for me to supplement his dinner! And they always have Mary's carrot cake for dessert, the best carrot cake ever, so what could be bad?
We had lunch. There were very few people, hence the low noise level, though it was a large room with hard surfaces. We have been there on other occasions when it was much busier. The table were ample and well spaced.
The food was very good and the waitress was outstanding. For example,After the kitchen hadn’t followed the modifications requested by our guest, who volunteered to keep the dish anyway, the waitress decided that the guest wouldn’t really be happy and insisted on bringing it back to the kitchen to be redone.
In addition to being caring and responsive, the waitress was also warm and friendly.
The food was very good. We very much enjoyed our lunch.
I've eaten here many times and the food is good but the waitress wrote down the wrong order for how our burgers were cooked so that they were not prepared right and she pretended they were and did not offer to take it back. She also started talking about inappropriate personal things!!
Lovely New Years Eve dinner in tasteful surroundings.
Extraordinarily disappointed with our recent experience eating at Eat on North. In the past, the food was good to very good with slow but acceptable service and a pleasant if spartan ambiance. This time, everything seemed to have changed. The service was atrocious. We had originally made a reservation for two which we had to change when friends asked to join us. We were told that was no problem. But it was. It took an additional twenty minutes for the staff to get their act together to accommodate the change. It then took ten minutes for our drink orders to be taken and an additional twenty minutes for the food to be served. My veggie pizza was all but tasteless. The fish and chips were overly breaded and greasy. Nearby tables that were empty remained uncleared and the floor upsweep. It was a very unpleasant experience.
Delicious burger, salad and pork chop.
Very nice restaurant in an authentic boutique hotel. Good food. Waitress was a bit gruff, and service was slow. Would try it again, though. Great atmosphere.
We love eating at EAT, but the Best thing about dining there is Taylor and Haley!!! We are Medical Professionals of BMC, CHP, and Retired Business People of Pittsfield's and just love the staff, food, and ambiance! Can't wait to return! Also, Haley we missed you this time, but Taylor took Fantastic care of us as always!
Always amazing. My only regret is that I eat here often and the menu does not change as frequently as I would like. See my photos. Everything is as tasty as it looks. The spicy Italian sausage risotto was exceptional!
Fit for a Feast
A well-curated menu with enough choice for everyone! We were a table of 4 and we all ordered something different. The NY Strip steak was some of the best I've tasted in a while, and so were the lamb chops. Seasonal vegetable pairings. Portion sizes are just right. Great selection of oysters added a nice touch to the appetizer menu. Caramel ice cream desert stole the show, but the carrot cake and cannoli options were great too. Wine list by the glass is slightly limited in white, but good on Reds. Service is good and not overly attentive. Would recommend this restaurant with confidence -- they know what they are doing!
This was an excellent dining experience. We will return in a heartbeat.
Second time visited and will surely return! Brought adult family.
We're local and this was our first time dining at Eat on North. We had the crab cake appetizer, ribeye steak, and lamb chops. The food was amazing. Our waitress was attentive, kind, personable, and funny. The dining room wasn't too busy. It was quiet and relaxing. It was a wonderful night out in downtown Pittsfield.
This is probably the nicest restaurant in downtown Pittsfield if you want a great menu, good, fresh food and a relaxing ambiance. After eating here on several occasions, I have nothing but good things to say about the food - generous portions and delicious. The service, though extremely friendly, has been consistently slow. I don't know if it is the kitchen that is slow, if it is understaffing, or if it is just a very inefficient operation, but it is best to plan for a leisurely meal and avoid going if you are in a rush.
Went for breakfast and the food was outstanding! Even though the staff was short staffed the day we went, our server was terrific and very responsive. Highly recommend.
This is a restaurant in a hotel in Pittsfield, MA. Staff was very friendly. Our cocktails very generous. Visited on a Tuesday evening. -Taco Tuesday. 2 tacos (this night was chicken) and rice for $9.00. Pretty bland. All it needed was a few sprigs of cilantro to make the tacos a bit tastier. Sausage (spicey) pizza was good. I'd call this place so-so.
After several years as hotel guests, we purchased a home in the neighborhood. We love meeting friends old and new at Eat on North. The many veggie options and the friendly, attentive service make EAT a frequent destination.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing with a cool, modern vibe. Loved it!
ELEGANT FRIENDLY RESTAURANT WITH A LIMITED MENU.
EXCELLENT LOCATION FOR PRETHEATRE DINNER
STREET PARKING AVAILABLE
Delicious food, warm & engaging waitstaff, a fantastic find in Pittsfield in the same building as Hotel on North which is also amazing. Seriously good food, clean, nice atmosphere.
Service is accommodating and friendly. The food presentation is remarkable and tasty.
Dined Saturday night with a total of 6 guests. Haley was our server. Shes the BEST! Food is always Amazing. Loved the deviled eggs and my Sausage risotto was delicious. We we will be back!
We breakfast each month throughout the county and this is one of our favorites.
A great meal. Being vegan isn't always easy. The chef came out, asked me what I was looking for and went back a crafted a vegan masterpiece!
Crab cake appetizer outstanding. Pork chop entree good. Steaks were “eh” - the red potato smash accompaniment was extremely unappetizing. Raw bar was chintzy. When oysters are that tiny, maybe put 15 on the plate instead of a dozen?
Perfect after theater dining. Drinks were perfect and service was very good
The food was great, the service attentive and the atmosphere amenable to conversation--until the band started playing. Then, conversation became almost impossible. My dinner companions and I clumped together so we could hear each other, but it was frustrating.
Birthday dinner. Great food.
eat on North provided a great couples get-together venue despite the fact theater-goers had nearly filled the restaurant after a play. The food was excellent and service good. More servers needed. Our Faroe Island salmon dish was delicious with its beet farro accompaniement, pasta bolonese remarkable! Good wine voices and nice contemporary ambiance. Highly recommended!
Good, but we missed the fried chicken you had last year!
