Eastwind Ratings and Reviews
Mei, our requested server, was as on point as usual. Very gracious, cherry, anticipating our every need, even pouring our tea for us a few times . Unlike other waitstaff at this restaurant, Mei came over to out table a few times asking how everything was. Can't wait to go back again.,marty b.
tHE FOOD WAS TOO HIGH FOR SUCH SMALL PORTIONS AND IT WAS OK NOT GREAT. I COULD HAVE GOTTEN MORE AT THE CHINESE STORE DOWN THE STREET FOR A 3RDOF THE PRICE. FOR $18 I GOT A SMALL PORTION NO DRINK OR APPETIZER. ITS PROBABLY WORTH IT IF YOU COME BEFORE 6PM AND GET THE 3 COURSES FOR $17. WHICH IS CLEARLY LESS THAN MY ONE PLATE WHICH WAS NO LARGER THAN THE SPECIAL MAIN COURSE. AND THE WAITRESS WAS NOT HELPFUL AND WAS ANNOYED WITH MY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MENU WHICH WAS NOT CLEAR....NOT HAPPY!
Cute restaurant off of the casino in Resorts. We love the food and the atmosphere. We like sitting at the tables looking out at the casino. The tables are spaced far apart & it is a quiet area of the casino. You can sit in an area looking at the boardwalk but the tables are very close together.
Great Chinese noodle bar. Well priced & large portions. We've eaten here several times , first time that the service was rushed. Our main courses came a minute after the appetizers were delivered . We hadn't even starting eating them.
No need to make reservations as ourselves and another person were at the restuarant at 6:30 on a Monday night in the middle of July.
I have been there 2 previous times and enjoyed the food.
You can sit near the Casino or near the Boardwalk. The food is well prepared and large portions so you can mix , match and share. A good variety of entrees, sides and appetizer's are available. There is also a Price Fix menu option with all the courses for 16.99
The total bill for 3 diners without dessert was $82.00.
I would recommend this place to any person visiting the Boardwalk interested in casual dining with an Asian flare.
The service was great but only after we had to call a waiter over to our table. It seems the person primarily responsible for our table was not available or paying attention.
It is also very noisy being on the casino floor and next to the slot machines. I didn't realize how noisy it would be. The food was quite tasty though!
Wah Wah- was our very attentive server! She accommodated all our needs and constantly checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our food! We highly recommend Eastwind as we thought it is a little gem hidden on the boardwalk! The food was delicious and the prices were very affordable!
Traditional American style Chinese food with good customer services but of course can't compare to Traditional Chinese style ... tried Peking Pork Chop & Green Mussel as appetizer (better) & Chilean Sea Bass, Sirloin Steak & Walnut Shrimp as main dishes (good) plus Tapioca Pudding (good) ... food ready in minutes if you are in rush dinning
Visited Atlantic City Resorts Casino for first time in 30 years. Wife and I went on line for dinner restaurant. Came across several, but, Eastwind caught our attention for two reasons. Quality menu choices and cost factor. Waiter was excellent in helping us get the types of foods we like to eat and the manager made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed how the meals were cooked. I had a dish called Honey peach chicken which had thinly sliced pieces of chicken in some type of a clear gravy with peaches, pineapple, slivered almonds, etc.. The flavor was excellent. We plan on going back to the casino and also this restaurant. They also make a fabulous pork fried rice, the rice was cooked to perfection, the grains were not stuck together like most Asian restaurants. The manager saw us taking a picture of each other with the boardwalk in the background and offered to take a picture of the both of us with my camera. He did and we now have a picture to remind us of that night and the beautiful atmosphere at Eastwinds. Thank you all, Armand and Toni
The Staff at Eastwind did everything to make our party a success. We had a large group and as it turns out some last minute additions. We were seated in an alcove looking out over the boardwalk. The service was attentive and friendly.
The food was interesting and varied. everyone seemed satisfied and not one in our group of 11 had a complaint. That said, nothing really stood out as exemplary.
on balance, worth a visit for a quality mid-priced meal.
Have eaten here many, many times and the service is truly wonderful-- from the moment you walk in and are greeted by deny until you leave and are wished a sincere farewell from the entire staff.
The food is excellent though they recently changed their menu and my pal could no longer get ( hard) noodles! Isn't that a staple at chinese restaurants? and the waitress didn't give us any fortune cookies when the bill came as is generally done here, but the service and the food more than made up for these inconsistencies..
The food was as good as we hoped. We shared edamame appetizer and each ordered rare beef soup. Very good and the bowls were huge! We shared the fruit tart for dessert. It was exceptional. Ask for a table near the boardwalk end as at the beginning of the restaurant are slot machines with endless sounds and drone music. Service was excellent, also.
When we arrived we were frankly disappointed by the ambience. It had the look of an open casino type buffet. The menu was rather limited as well. But then the epiphany! When my wife stated that there was nothing on the menu she fancied they asked what she wanted and the manager said, "we'll make it for you". And it was remarkable. They were highly attentive, and not just the waitress, but the maître de and even the chef. If you are looking for a romantic spot, this may not be it. If you are looking for great food, then this IS the place. Great job.
