Our out of town guest loved the shrimp and grits. Everything was excellent as usual.
Eastland Cafe is our favorite neighborhood restaurant.
Great cocktails, amazing appetizers and dinner. A must eat at place in East Nashville. Service was wonderful.
Food was good as usual. Service was outstanding. Fried green tomatoes as appetizer was very good. Bouillabaisse was also very good. Noise level was almost unbearable. Extremely difficult for conversation.
We loved sitting outside on the patio under the lights! It’s such a quaint spot with great food.
Best wedge salad in the city. Love sitting outside and having great food!!
As always the food was amazing ! We arrived during happy hour and the drinks are a great bargain and are fantastic! The only downfall our server was very busy and the food was a bit slow to get to our table even after it was ready. But I love Eastland and will definitely be back!
This was my first visit and I love the location and the ambience. Our service was lacking a little. Our reservation was about 30min after opening so the server may have not gotten into his groove for the evening. He could have been more attentive. My scallops were over cooked but the other items we had were ok.
Birthday. Always pleased at Eastland Cafe; food and service are great.
Charcuterie was delicious and wonderfully arranged. I opted for burger- outstanding and juicy. GF had scallops and said she enjoyed them thoroughly. Patio was open and perfect. Note for anyone that might take issue: they are dog friendly. I'm sorry that I have not visited here sooner.
Been here several times and usually good food and service. Neither was the case this time. I even ordered my usual scallops and they were just a lot of pepper. There were a lot of open tables but service was non existent.
Cocktails were original and tasty. Our waiter, Joe was great. Entree’s were delicious, I had Tile fish special of the day and guest has shrimp and grits. Dessert did not disappoint either. Delicious albeit unconventional key lime pie and “sliced apple donuts capped a nice dinner. I paid $15?cork fee and brought my own wine which I typically do.
This was my wife and I's first visit to EC for Happy Hour. We were extremely pleased with the food and drink offerings along with their price points. Our server (Chase) was also very hospitable and made sure to check with us before Happy Hour ended to ensure we had put in all orders we wanted. Overall a great experience, we'll certainly be back! Thank you!
We had a great meal and a fantastic server. It was a little bit too loud for us but not so loud that we will not come back.
Love this neighborhood spot- the happy hour menu is delicious and so reasonable.
Excellent in all aspects. Relaxing, creative and absolutely delicious.
A friend from out of town came, and we had a delicious dinner here. Tried a new sour beer which was great, and got the goat cheese flatbread appetizer. Highly recommend, it’s delicious! I got the bouillabaisse, and she got the fried chickens and biscuits. Both were delectable and large portions. A cool atmosphere as well, would be great for a date night!
Loud group of girls crammed into two seats at the bar, right next to where our table was located. We sent $100+ on a dinner for three, while having 5 loud girls practically standing above our table with their rear ends in our faces. Hostess/manager did not do anything about it.
Food was alright - Beet appetizer was the best party. Asparagus appetizer was way too salty. Scallops were okay, but I've had much better.
Overall, disappointed for the price point.
Loved the food and the service, everything was just right and we were happy to be away from the mayhem of downtown.
The service and food are both wonderful. We enjoyed our dinner, our table was perfect and the service was fantastic. We will be back often.
Always a pleasure! Great choices of entrees tapas. My happy hour of choice.
Great place to eat in East Nashville. Great service & very good food. It's a little noisy, but for me that's part of the fun. Every table was just another party.
We come back here time and time again! We love it, and the menu is ever changing so we never get bored.
I had a very good bone in chop with green Chile Mac and cheese.
Service was incredible. Very polite and full of knowledge in regards to the menu. Made great recommendations in regards to what foods I asked about. Ordered the pork chop and by all means do yourself a favor and order it also!!! Fried green tomatoes were okay. Got cheese flat bread was incredible also. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and will be back again to order the pork chop!
Food and service were amazing! Seated early, as we had arrived before our reservation time. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly and prompt.
Good food and service but too noisy.. our waitress was superb
Great little place with a very eclectic menu. Great attentive servers & a good happy hour!
We drove an hour in the rain to dine at Eastland Cafe because of the high ratings it has on Open Table and other rating services. We were given a nice table and the server came promptly to take our orders. Our party of four ordered different items and, in our collective opinion, only one, the hamburger, was close to being worth the cost. The “chicken and biscuits” was a piece of chicken breast on top of biscuits that tasted like they were right out of a can and was priced at $20. The “diver scallops” should have been on the “small plate” menu but were on the entree menu and consisted of 5 small scallops on top of a few vegetables and priced at $24. The “bouillabaisse” consisted of a few small shrimp, scallops, mussels, and pieces of fish in a thin broth accompanied by two small pieces of toast and was also priced at $24. The burger was large, tasty and attractive and, at $14, was the only meal that did not leave us hungry when we left. After the original order, the service was adequate but certainly not attentive. We won’t be going back because the restaurant is surrounded by other restaurants that are much better in our opinion. And, of course, Nashville is full of outstanding restaurants where we dine often.
The food was great. Service was great. It was noisy and the tables for two were small and exposed so not great for intimate conversation. It was pricey but not too bad. Had to order sides extra. Bread wasn’t complimentary but we enjoyed the bread basket we ordered. I’d definitely eat there again. Next time I’m ordering the bouillabaisse. My husband got it and it was delicious. My scallops were good. The salad was nothing but lettuce. Should’ve ordered a side instead.
Most underrated restaurant in Nashville. Never had a bad meal. Chef is best fish cooker in Nashville
Met up with my parents while traveling on work and it was my mom’s birthday. I mentioned that in my reservation and it didn’t quite strike anyone as I guess being important. We had a nice time, food was great, company was great. Servers were a little green and didn’t know menu all that well - we figured it out though, they were still very pleasant. It wasn’t super busy and they sat us right across from another table with customers, with us being on the bar side. My mom asked if we could be moved so we weren’t basically next door to the others. Moved us up two booths in the bar area. Love the view or the open kitchen, and it would have been nice to view from the dining area. I’d give it another shot if I was back in the area.
My NY strip was extremely tough and over cooked and the sides were cold. My date’s chicken was also very tough and although her sides were hot, the gravy under the chicken was ice cold. Our server was fantastic and the ambience was lovely. We were just very underwhelmed by our food.
I was hosting friends from out of town and wanted a comfortable, neighborhood spot with great drinks and food. Eastland Cafe checked all the boxes. Great service for a group night out!
Eastland Cafe is one of our favorites! A great place, grear food, great staff!
We went for happy hour and their deals are great. Delicious $6 cocktails and $7 small plates. The drinks and food were excellent and our service was exceptional.
We had a large group for NYE and were a little disappointment in the menu as well as the time it took to serve us. Understanding it is NYE, we were still shocked that we were sat at 8pm and did not leave until almost 1015. Our food took a very long time to come out and the food was overall pretty bland and lacked a lot of seasoning.
I want to point out our server was fantastic, courteous, kept our drinks coming, and created a good experience when it came to service. He was not in control of how long the food took. The restaurant was also not completely full, so the slow food time was also shocking.
I don't think I will be back to Eastland Café unfortunately after our meal was subpar.
Expensive but nice
