East Moon Asian Bistro
New kitchen staff so could’ve been a one-off, but Spring Roll sauce flavor-less (usually a peanut sauce).
Sushi rolls where average - signature roll was worth getting.
Service was great, but it was fairly noisey; the building doesn’t absorb sound well.
East Moon is an Asian Fusion restaurant. If you come expecting simply one country, you will be disappointed. They are good at all cuisines. Their Thai is lovely, their Chinese dishes are fresh and tasty, their sushi is fresh and creative, their curries are flavorful albeit a bit sweet, and they have good options for people who are trying to cut carbs and calories. They have a good beer and wine list as well as many different types of Sake. I have never been disappointed here. The only issue is that the prices are a little expensive but you very much get what you pay for.
Good service, good sushi!
We love eating here. We come here frequently for sushi. Wait staff is usually awesome. We come here enough that some of them know our names or at least recognize us. Sushi is fresh and the soup is wonderful. Their lunch special is a great deal too. This is our go to place.
Always good. Worth the trip. Experiment without risk.
Fabulous dinner, possibly the best sesame chicken ever. Thanks so much
We had a nice time as s family. The food was good, if a little sweet, and the service was great. Great atmosphere. Not crowded at all on Halloween night.
Our first time at East Moon was wonderful. We were on a tight schedule thus needing early reservations., which worked out perfect. Open Table Reservations were efficient and helped a lot. When we finished dinner the restaurant was full. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. We'll be back!
Ordered Bejing Beef... worst I have ever had. Meat was loaded with fat and gristle. 3 people dining and all food was barely warm when served. Extremely noisy. Difficult to carry on a conversation. Will not return to this establishment.
Everything tasted wonderful, and the service was great!
Great food nice decor. It was Sunday a dollar sake night.
If we could give this review 0 stars we would! After waiting for 10 minutes for someone to notice we were there, we were seated in the bar area although there were plenty of tables in the main seating area. We ordered drinks and then an appetizer and sushi. The waiter brought the sake and then when opening it spilled a lot of it on the table and over my wife with the comment that he is still learning how to open the sake bottles. No replacement or anything. When our sushi was served we asked where our appetizer was and the waiter had completely forgotten it. The sushi was awful! We have never eaten such bad sushi in our lives...with some pieces being spongy and obviously had been soaked in liquid. Then he brought us someone else's bill.... We will not be returning!
Awesome experience, we will definitely go back! Service was a little slow and some things were forgotten but overall great!
Consistently excellent food. Many menu choices well prepared and tasty. Friendly attentive servers.
Have eaten there many times. It’s our go to place for sushi.
It was good. Seemed like our waiter forgot is for a bit, but we had other staff coming by to bring our meals etc in the meantime.
The food was good, the service very good, and the atmosphere relaxing yet fun.
Excellent food and service. Met an old friend. Easy to talk and great evening. Special thanks to Polly for service.
We loved the food. We had no issues with our reservation or getting seated on time, that all went well.
I did not appreciate our server. She forgot things repeatedly and we had to tell her multiple times what our order was. Starting with waters (she couldnt remember who wanted ice and who didnt) , followed by our drink orders (I had to repeat mine to her three times). She brought out salad with the wrong dressing, one of my guests meals was 100% wrong (she said she "grabbed the wrong one!"), and I did not like her overly familiar demeanor when I was having a business dinner. Upon greeting the table she sat down at the table (not a fan of that) and then poked the beard of the guy I was having a dinner with. She thought it would be funny to play with it.
Again, the food was great and we will be back. We just had an unfortunate experience with our server.
We've eaten at East Moon several times, for lunch and dinner. It's been a great experience every time. Our waitress, Lexi, (she's waited on us a couple of times) was super friendly and helpful, and gave us the best service we've had at any restaurant in a long time. The food is excellent, portions are large and worth the price.
This is my third time and the mojitos didn’t have much alcohol and a kind of waste. Food is OK and the ambience is good for a nice conversation.
Had a reservation and it took them a while to get us seated and once we were seated we weren’t given a menu other than the sushi and then once it came time to order the waiter was so busy he didn’t get to us for even just drinks for 35 minutes. Dinner took more than an hour. Normally they’re much better when they’re not as busy.
Sushi was awesome for a restaurant that doesn’t only focus on sushi! Service was slow and not so friendly. Had to ask several times to get water. Tables were also placed very closely to each other. Will probably go back and hope for better service!
This is our favorite restaurant. Dishes are prepared with lots of crisp vegetables, generous portions, their curry is delectable. I think this is the best Asian "fusion" restaurant. The only thing I would change is that the Pad Thai is too sweet, years ago it was the best I've ever eaten but then they changed to a very sweet, pink sauce
This was one of my favorite restaurants since they opened. Last Friday the food was really bad and the first time we've ever complained. We took friends with us that had never been and we raved about the food only to be very embarrassed. Our friend received the wrong meal, the sesame tempura scallops were swimming in teriyaki sauce, no sesame sauce. The teriyaki salmon was also swimming in sauce.
Was scheduled to meet a friend for lunch there today so thought we'd give it another try. Had the Vietnamese noodle bowls. The meat was cold and not crispy grilled as usual and the fish sauce was bland.
Sadly, I will not be going back after 3 years of eating here at least twice a month.
Our favorite sushi spot! East Moon never fails with great service and delicious food.
My Pad Thai was bland. I suppose that was because it was not offered at Medium spicyness. Not bad, just bland. Sushi was good. Service was very good.
Food bland & tasteless
For me it was my first time and we all agreed that we would return again. Great food. Great service. Great place. Hope to see you real soon.
Sushi was awesome. Was looking for some different style rolls and combinations and found it!
Food was really good. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Will definitely go back again.
This was our 4th visit to the restaurant and it continues to be one of our favorites in the area. The service was a little slower on this occasion, but overall it was a fine experience. The food is always wonderful!
The waitress was fast, our beer was delicious, the food tasted amazing. My date made the experience fun & enjoyable.
It was our first visit and we will definitely be back! There were too many tempting menu items to try them all in the first go! Very nicely decorated. The sushi bar is lovely. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful.
I had a great meal at this restaurant. My waitress was outstanding! She was very knowledgeable and recommended a salad with tuna that I really loved and she also let me know that I could get a glass of wine for a lower price because of a promotion. Then I ordered the Pat Thai with chicken that was also delicious. I ended up with leftovers for lunch today.
Great spot to take the kids and experience some Asian cusine.
Used to come here a lot before and loved it! Last two visits have been terrible due to the change of recipes in their menu. Plus the service is quite slow.. Miss the old peanut sauce in the pad Thai and getting a house salad along with it. Probably will not be going back any time soon.
We always like East Moon - one of our favorite places for Sushi. Is always good. Service also consistent. We are regulars.
Great sushi in an unexpected location. I'll be back
Our server was just not with it tonight. She took too long to address us after sitting. We waited another 15 minutes after drinks before she came to take our order. She forgot one of our appetizers and never brought us chopsticks. And, not that it would be required under any circumstances but I was there with my two children and she didn't even say Happy Mothers Day. I love this restaurant and have been many times. I will continue to go but will request not to sit in this servers section again.
Great Asian restaurant, food is wonderful, try the pineapple curry or sea bass, my husband likes the duck but sometimes too salty
