   Always great food esp the tandoori dishes. The meat has that tandoori deep roasted flavor that is very rare for other Indian restaurants in the US! I do miss not being able to have their Rangpur chill cocktail which was always so uniquely delicious. They no longer have a dedicated bartender which is sad and probably related to the pandemic & downtown woes. Server we had last nite was attentive and friendly!

   The food & service were excellent. I’ve had some of the best Indian food on the planet and this was right up there. Spicy Lamb Korma, Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, House (EIC) Naan, Onion Kulcha, Saag Paneer, and Taj Mahal Lager. It was so good! I highly recommend.

   The food was really good - the butter chicken was excellent. My husband had the Vindaloo and thought it was delicious. We were dining with elderly friends and it is difficult to have a drink menu that is only available trough a QR code for that age group. Then when we did access it on our phones and share it, the print was too small and difficult to read for our friends. Lastly, more than half of the drinks listed on the QR menu were listed as currently unavailable. Including the chai. CHAI...at an Indian restaurant. Weird. Lastly, there were two items on the printed menu that only after we tried to order them, we were told that they were not available and that the printed menu is not quite up to date. So update the menu then! Details matter. It is an exercise in frustration to be told everything you are trying to order off their menu is unavailable. We might go back because the food was quite good, but I am sure that our friends will not. They did not enjoy the experience.

    Enjoyed our dinner at East India Co. our server was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu which helped a lot when we asked about vegan options for appetizers and entrees. Looking forward to visiting again.

    Food was extra spicy- I mean I’m an Indian and can handle spice but this was inedible in the sense - a simple dal dish (yellow lentils) were made so spicy! Kadai paneer was extra spicy as well. Tandoori roti was dry and rubbery. I advised them to ask people regarding the spice levels - wait is absolutely a deal breaker here…

    We have eaten at this restaurant several times before and have always liked it very much. Last night was quite a disappointment. I ordered the dumplings which came in a beige unappetizing sauce. The dumplings were mushy without much flavor. My husband ordered the tandoori chicken. We have always had tandoori chicken come sizzling with onions and a reddish color after being baked in a tandoori oven. This chicken came out brown and looked like it was braised. The flavor was off. For now, we will not be coming back to this restaurant which we once loved. So sad because it is within walking distance of our home. We’ll be searching for another Indian restaurant.

    I love everything about this restaurant. Quality Indian food in a relaxed atmosphere at a reasonable price. My husband and I eat here at least a few times a year. This time we brought a bigger group and tried more dishes. We all loved the appetizers: the Papadam Chutney Tasting, Samosa Chaat and Papdi Chat. The entrees that were spicy were too hot for me but the others liked it (Murg Tikkka).The ones we ordered mild were perfect. The lamb saag is my favorite. We tried the eggplant for the first time and it was fantastic. Even the people who weren’t big eggplant fans liked it. The younger set loved the Lassi. We will be back.

    Great food in a nice setting. It seemed a little tacky to have to use a QR code to see the menu. The severs just handed us our food rather than setting it down in front of us. We were asked if they could pour our wine for us … well, yes!

    A true gem in downtown. Elegant and well presented dishes. They are still recovering from the shutdowns so not every item is available but enough are. I would highly recommend the restaurant. A bit more expensive than the run of the mill Indian restaurants but worth it.

    Very sad place compared to our last visit 4 yrs ago. We were excited to return to what we felt would be a high end fine ding restaurant experience. However, the reality was quite different. One server, no bartender. Fortunately not busy, but on a Friday night, certainly surprising. Photos show white table cloths, which was the case 4 yrs ago, but no longer. Food was mediocre at best. Can not recommend this establishment.

    Our group of 6 ate pre-theatre at 5pm. We were the first patrons to arrive. We were greeted warmly and offered a food menu. The beverage menu was only accessed by QR code. Some cocktails were not available. The food arrived hot and spicy. As the restaurant filled up, the service slowed down. We enjoyed every dish, and bread. I especially liked the somosa appetizer and mixed Tandoor Grill @ $14.

    I have been here four times and the three previous times have all been wonderful, both in terms of food and service. This time, I made a reservation for Saturday at dinner time, expecting there to be a good amount of patrons and that a reservation would guarantee us a table. The restaurant was understaffed for the evening, which I sympathize with greatly because I also work in food service. However, they had accepted more reservations and walk-ins than they could serve with good hospitality for the amount of staff they had. We waited an additional half hour all told after our reservation time to be seated and then have our order taken. (we had even looked up the online menu so we could have our order ready for the convenience of the server and speed of service). While we were still waiting to be seated, a door dash driver came in and waited twenty minutes to pick up a delivery. I fill door dash orders at work and we do not accept new orders when we are too busy with walk-ins, and we do not mark orders as ready for pickup if they are not ready. Drivers get paid per delivery. The conduct was therefore unprofessional and inconsiderate to both the driver and the customer who placed the order. Finally, after we had finished eating, our server asked if we wanted a box but then never brought one, and it put us in the awkward position of trying to flag down a server to ask for another one, which we felt bad about since it was a busy night. I do really sympathize with the staff because I know what it’s like to be extremely busy, overworked, and trying to make the best of a difficult night. However, they bit off more than they could chew. I got the sense that they were trying to take as many customers as possible for maximum revenue rather than hold tables for reservations that had already been made, while also not being honest about how long the wait would be.

    There was a wide choice of Indian dishes. We had an appetizer and shared two dishes with rice and Naan. All the dishes were excellent, and food arrived very quickly. The waiters were exceptional - some of the friendliest and attentive waiters that I've had the pleasure of ordering from. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

    We go back for the food, the food is really good. The service is slow and the last two times we have gone the order has come out incorrect from what we ordered. They made it right last time by providing the ordered dish as a to go. The website advertises happy hour until 7 and this last visit I planned a group meeting there based on that, the website is incorrect, they do not offer happy hour. Food is worth a visit though.

    It was absolutely great back 10-12 years ago. Food was not the best at all this time. It was overall quite disappointing. We selected this place to celebrate by father’s 84th birthday. Server was kind and did his best for being the only one for several tables. That’s was it.

    Chicken Tikka Masala w/ basmati rice & garlic Naan was delicious. Seated in a comfortable booth. Nice lighting, artwork & music. Service could be better. Waiter was hesitant to engage very much and I was forced to approach the bar to settle the bill.
