I TRAVELLED A GREAT DISTANCE TO ATTEND THIS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SPOT - APPEARS THEY HAVE BEEN CLOSED SINCE LABOR DAY

A bad choice. This restaurant is clearly lost all that it had for so many years.
Food has gotten worse and worse, and now qualifies as terrible for the price.
The food was mediocre at best and very expensive. I had what was to be a "lobster bake" with 1- 1/2 lb lobster, clams, mussels, corn and potatoes. I expected a whole lobster but the meat was of of the shell and the body discarded, 4 mussels, 4 clams, 2 halves of a small potato and corn in the shell. 2 thumbs down!!!
Great Ambience and views of the marina. Conveniently located from where we stayed. But the food was way Over priced for even hamptons standards. The waiter hyped up the Surf and Turf too much that made us want to try it. It was a double meat dish with over cooked chewy short ribs and the lobster. We also called for Margaritas that weren't made very well so we had to send it back and have it remade. Good date spot though. Must try the chicken on the menu and crispy fried shrimp.
A total rip off with not properly cooked food. Had the surf and turf and the steak was all fat and the lobster was over cooked and inedible. And, our waiter did not give us a heads up of the 100 dollar price for the terrible surf and turf. The view is gorgeous and the fried shrimp were very good. We would NOT recommend unless coming for a beer and the view.
Great sunset, overpriced, poor service, poor value
The food was good and the location remains a beautiful spot but beware, it is a very steep tab, even for the Hamptons.
Honestly, I wasn't crazy about it. The atmosphere was very stuffy and snooty (not all restaurants in East Hampton are like that). The portions were small, the dishes were overpriced, and the staff did not seem bothered by the fact that a small child kept screaming until the guests complained.
Yeah, I won't be back.
It was a very rainy evening so can't speak to the view. We were seated awash from the music which allowed us to comfortably have conversation. The food was very good and it wasn't a "scene" which was appreciated.
Service was really sloooooooow. Maybe not the fault of the wait staff. Seemed like the restaurant was significantly understaffed for the amount of sables that were filled.

I was shocked to show up at the restaurant at 7pm and find no one else there. Don't know what that means. Around 7:15 a party of about 12 arrived and that was it until we left at 8:30. The food was really delicious and the service, as one wold expect with no one there, was excellent.
Like the ease of reserving with Open Table and every detail of reservation was fine. It was a very pleasant setting, outside and lovely view of harbor. Food is fine a bit overprices but acceptable for the view and location.
After a bad experience there two years ago with inedible entries (the whole table had to send dishes like pork back to the kitchen to be cooked!), I wrote this place off but reserved the hope that maybe it was a bad night, bad manager, etc.
So, because it has a lovely setting with a sunset view over a marina, we decided to give it a try again.
Big Mistake. The menu, the service, even the clientele has changed remarkably such that it is barely recognizable as the place it once was several years ago. It now reminds me of the old B. Smith's in Sag Harbor (RIP) which for the last several years of its slow death offered nothing but a great setting with a terribly overpriced menu of glorified pub chow with fries.
Probably fine for families with kids, but this is no longer a spot I would take any of my adult friends to for a weekend evening meal. Never again.
Don't order the octopus or the tuna poke, both are disappointing. The fried shrimp were decent. The food is outrageously expensive. For example: If you want bread it's $8 extra. A plain ice tea cost $6. Two crab cakes cost $45. The view is spectacular, too bad the food isn't. The wait staff is very friendly but we were forgotten about at the end of the night by our waiter and the bus person gave us dessert menus. A different waiter gave us our check and someone else brought out a tiny square of "key lime pie" on a graham cracker crust ($12). Our bill including tip was $196 for two people which included one martini $18, octopus appetizer $20, tuna poke appetizer $25 the above mentioned crab cakes, fried shrimp & ice tea (we did not get bread). What a terrible experience, I'm never going back.
Great family vacation dinner with great food and beautiful location on the bay!
Can't beat the ambiance by the water. Food was mostly good. Appetizers were solid, the sea bass I ordered was a minuscule portion, maybe 4oz. It was prepared well though. The vanilla ice cream snores for dessert was excellent
Nothing special. The menu had nothing different that jumped off the page. I liked last year's menu better.
The view is spectacular. Sunset is the best time of all, but you can't go wrong any time with the views of the marina and the bay. Service is good, not great, but more than acceptable for the casual environment. The lobster BLT was creative and tasty. The ahi tuna fish tacos were perfectly prepared. Food is somewhat overpriced, even for the Hamptons, probably attributable to "marine" pricing. You definitely want to sit on the covered deck.
Overpriced dinner. The food was good, but on the smaller side. I'm comfortable for paying high prices for food that is amazing, not just 'good', on top of the skimpy portions. My husband got the $42 swordfish which was undercooked. Not worth it.
The view partially made up for it.
Horrible place. The food is not made fresh but warmed up (bass, in my case), the noise level with Jamaican music is so loud you can't converse, and the ambiance is nonexistent.
i live in across the 3 mile harbor . so am not a tourist . with that said . listen up . the ideas behind the plates are good . the problems are many . one is that your food should be warm or hot . apps which was the octopus came out room temperature . an it was grilled . so it was hard to understand why . the portions for fish dishes are VERY small . even for east Hampton . again for the entrees room temperature . we ordered two glasses of wine . again on the very small size . about 4 oz . should always be 6 oz or more . for the price there charging for wine . the prices are not in line with the food . they cant charge prices 42.00 dollars for a 5 oz swordfish . also noted is it seem everything was not made to order but made to reheat the plate when ordered . plates were hot food was not . we had a whole meal in 35 minutes . you are better off if you were to go out an pay those prices to go - pierres , wolffee kitchen , scarpettas , fresno , 1770 house , or bay kitchen as example ..

EH Point always delivers a simple, gorgeous experience.
We had a lovely waiter and the meal was ok not great. Oysters came out fast but were not of the best quality. Too creamy. The meze platter was good. Drinks were also tasty and bottle of white Sauv Blanc from Calif was really delicious. The bartender was surly however the rest of the staff was very nice and efficient.
I had the tuna poke bowl and tuna was very well season but chef made rice into fritters which were gluey. Better off sticking to normal rice. My friend had the other tuna dish and felt it was too blackened and peppery. The octopus was good but my friend who is also a chef felt the addition of sausage didn't work. My hubby's pasta was quite good. Would be smarter to simplify the offerings according to the talent in the kitchen and not rely just on the gorgeous seaside location.
Service was extremely poor. The food was not impressive. It was not a good experience.
