I took my friend for lunch to celebrate her birthday. There was one person, serving as both the waitress and the bartender their to handle the whole lunch. There was a 10-12 person table that sat down as we did. The waitress was very nice but her being the only person for all the tables and drinks was too much to ask of her. She did the best she could but we had to wait for the menu, wait for our order to be taken and wait too long for our food. It dimmed the specialness of taking my friend out for her birthday. So, hard to recommend East End Kitchen again, wish it weren't so.

I have eaten here many times. The food is always great. However our waitress was rude this time. Even the people at the table next to us commented on how rude she was to them as well. Unacceptable.

I live about 5 blocks away (which, in New York speak, is a totally different neighborhood), but I am always happy to do the walk to East End Kitchen. The waitstaff is friendly and the food is wonderful every time. I brought an aunt from Staten Island who eats mostly organic and, on a different night, friends from the deep south. All loved the cuisine and the restaurant choice made me look like a rock star! Thanks East End Kitchen :-)

Older crowd. Good food but portions on smaller side. Decor nice but simple.

We stayed in a friend's condo and stumbled across this neighborhood bistro while exploring. We only had two criteria: 1) close to where we were staying and 2) decent menu. We got so much more.

We both had scallops, which were exceptional. Service was amazing even though one waiter called out.

Would recommend it and would return.

Kitchen couldn't handle the small amount of diners that they had for Mother's Day dinner. Waited over an hour to get appetizers...horrible experience! Food ok. Don't go there!!

As the title is captioned. A lot of potential for what appears to be a cozy neighbor spot.

East End Kitchen is the only place in the neighborhood -- and so we go there from time to time. There was a new bartender who couldn't get anything right last time -- seriously, he couldn't make a vodka and tonic that tasted even close to right -- so we stuck to wine. And the servers are simply inept. They are obsequious in offering to help, but then don't follow through. The restaurant doesn't put salt/pepper on the table, and all three tables in our vicinity wanted some, requiring the waiter to repeatedly look for the shakers. The restaurant has been out of the same items (including barbecue beef) the last three times we were there. This place is on the line between succeeding and going out of business. No one would ever go out of his/her way to go here.
