Totally disappointed. They TRIPLED my tip on my credit charge card WITHOUT my permission or knowledge. I only noticed it after reviewing my expenses and charges for charge verification purposes at year end and for tax and expense tracking purposes. I was at this place on 9/8/16 for a dinner before a concert. The service was sub par, the attentiveness was slow, even with an empty place.
My waiter was Juan per the receipts I have. It seemed like he may have been the owner too. Now my credit card company says it is too late to dispute AND the place is out of business with a disconnected telephone line.
This is not the first time this has happened at a restaurant on a charge.
Buyer (charger) beware.
Anyone know how to get a hold of the owner for a refund?

Completely disappointing given that we had no warning that they had closed. We had to scramble to find a plan B before attending a performance. It is too bad that the restaurant didn't notify open table in a more timely manner, change their voicemail or their website.

Very sad to learn that this place is closing due to having the building sold out from under them...I guess the property values have driven the costs up, which is a shame. The ambiance and food preparation is terrific here, especially the Italian-American traditional dishes (eggplant parmesan, pastas), not to mention one of my favorite Polish dishes - stuffed cabbage. The service and waitstaff were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. This place will be missed.

We were sad to learn from the staff the restaurant is closing in the new year and space is being taken over by the plumed horse somehow. This is/was a great spot with yummy food and drinks and great staff. We will miss u Alice!

Our experience was awesome--as usual at Alice's! The food is fantastic, the musical entertainment was fabulous and Alice herself is divine---HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Food was not very good, and it was overpriced. The zeppole were particularly disappointing--heavy and greasy. The restaurant seems to have an identity crisis. It can't figure out whether it's Italian, Polish, or Mexican. They need to stick with one cuisine and perfect it.

Not very good. Alice never saw the east coast. Ordered a veal dish which you could hardly cut with a knife, and it was a big one. If you cannot get good veal take it off the menu.
The pasta dishes were fair but nothing special. We ordered a dish of steamed clams ($17) as an appetizer to be shared. It came with 1 small piece of bread. I will not go back.

The owner/manager (?) brought out some gluten-free bread so that I could soak up the wonderful broth with my clams. Nice special service in asking me if I wanted some. Good variety in the menu. Our first time dining there before a concert, will definitely go back again.

A great neighborhood eatery with enough choices to make everyone happy. Latest additions to the menu are carnitas and chile rellenos. Nice variety with the usual Italian dishes. Good value.

I made a reservation thru OpenTable but when we arrived the restaurant didn't have it listed. No worries, there were tables available, but I had asked for patio and didn't get to sit out there. My husband had Veal Parm and loved it, MIL had Scampi pasta & liked it, I had fish picatta style with the polenta and it wasn't as good as the last few times. Fish was a little overcooked. Polenta a little dry. Celery Carppacio app had a few pieces that hadn't been cut up in the kitchen. Dessert of cheesecake was fine, but part of the slice they served must have broken off when plated and 1/4 was missing from the front of the slice. Just odd.

Our party of 4 had the street chicken appetizer and garlic bread, both of which were very good. One of us had the pork 3 ways, one the chicken parm and two had the cod piccata. Everyone enjoyed their meals very much. For dessert we enjoyed the peach cobbler and the donuts with nutella. I would say the donuts are too big-i'd make them about half that size balls, but otherwise great.

service very slow- very casual dinning, but $$ charged is fine dinning. Menu offering is very limited.
There was not bread brought out while we were waiting or with salad.
Even crackers would have been nice. Later they mentioned having pizza- so a small piece or two to try would have been nice & easy for them---but guess they don't get it.
Cesar salad dressing tasted like out of a bottle & not fresh.
Gnocci was dense & heavy-and almost like eating a ball of raw dough.
Sauce was good.
Not going back as there are better places for less money and with better service and food.
