East Bay Grille Ratings and Reviews
We dined here on SuperBowl Sunday...absolutely wow'd by the size of the portions: huge quahogs stuffed high, and large main entrees of delicious risotto, fish, steaks--each of us had to take home part as it was too much but oh, so delicious. The only drawback was the service: waitress was pleasant when she was there, but often absent and did not check in often (place was remarkably uncrowded so couldn't figure it out) esp in that we were way off at one end of the place. Finally had to ask other people for help, esp when the same waitress served cold coffee (not tepid or warm but cold) in the coffee cups. So, meh! on the service, but oh so wonderful on the food.
Waiter was fabulous. Very patient and attentive to our questions
And ordering. Halibut special was outstanding.
Hard to find halibut these days. 2 of us enjoyed that entree and the other people thought their meal was also delicious.
Window seat was special too.
Great night. Thank you.
My girlfriends and I have frequented East Bay over the years and love the location and outside area in the summer. We haven’t gotten to see each other much so were looking for a central location to meet. I noticed their brunch option on the website and we decided to make a reservation. The brunch menu was very limited but what we chose was very good. Many people complain about the prices but it’s a premium for location and reputation. We’ll definitely continue to visit!
Wonderful restaurant that makes the mark every time - or most every time. We were there on a Sat night and the restaurant was crowded. Kind of noisy but not unbearble. Not sure if our waiter was rushed or not but we had to ask for water and were never given rolls. I noticed other servers who would approach the table with water and rolls as soon as the customer was seated. Small thing overall. Food was outstanding especially the parmesan risotto that is one of the choices for side. Fish was prepared to perfection. Flaky and moist. Desserts are outstanding - definitely try the Tiramisu! We travel to Plymouth from North of Boston and it is well worth the trip - even in winter. Definitely worth a visit.
Menu didn't have anything for teenagers to enjoy. Most common dishes where removed. Tempura shrimp, lobster scampi, shrimp scampi. Swordfish was raw in middle. For the price they charge you figure you wouldn't have to send a dish back. (We did not send it back). Our server was amazing but $$ amount and options were terrible for off season. Locals never get good options but $$ stays the same.
East Bay Grille is our go-to place for getting together with old friends. The food is always delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere right on Plymouth harbor cannot be beat. Very impressed with our server, and with our food. There was a large party in the house and I feared that service would be slow or there would be some level of disappointment. However, we were pleasantly surprised that the entire EBG team was working on all cylinders!
I had fish and chips. The batter on the fish was way overcooked, maybe it had been cooked twice.
The fish inside was inedible.
We have eaten here several times over the past three or four months. I met friends from Delaware , another had fish and chips and felt the same way. The third had a beef special of the day and that was fine.
It was very disappointing.
I love this restaurant, it is one of our favorites, the food is great, I never had a bad experience until last time I was there, first time getting fish & chips (what a disappointment) tasteless & greasy, lots of breading not a lot of fish. I’d never order that again. Clam chowder was delicious!
Great Evening! Would highly recommend....food was wonderful....all 6 meals....and many many seafood apps....although the request I made thru Open Table was deglected....asked for small B Day cake to celebrate at end of meal.....and it did not happen.....my error for not
double checking I guess...and had too much wine to remember myself...haha! Otherwise....PERFECT!
took family for my wife's birthday celebration dinner. cocktails were excellent, service was outstanding, food was and is always out of this world...always very busy when we dine here on weekends. atmosphere is always exciting but pleasant. you will never go wrong dinning here. one of our favorite restaurants in plymouth ma.
As always, our visit to East Bay was most excellent. We requested a table along the windows for the view. The food was great (and the single malt !), and Heather our waitress was superb (again, she's attended to us before). We highly recommend a visit for lunch or dinner.
Had a terrific time at lunch. We were a party of six women who attended the same secondary school long ago. From the valet service to the cheerful and excellent services of our waiter Malik, we were at ease. The menu, both regular and specials, offered wide and tasty choices. We lingered comfortably over coffee. Will meet again.
Large busy noisy place feeds the masses. Not for foodies & conversationalists .
The good: valet parking is a plus in Plymouth, honored our reservation, quick service, perfectly grilled salmon, generous wine pours, & killer mudpie for sharing.
The bad: menu said risotto, dish was prepared w white rice. On another order, menu said brown rice, served white rice. Bar didn't have ingredients to make one of the cocktails on the menu. Altho service was fast, it was hit&run, not attentive.
Met our daughter at her new place in Plymouth and she recommended East Bay Grille. Since it was a beautiful fall day , I gave up my open table reservation to another couple so I could enjoy with my daughter the Adirondack chairs , outdoor bar, and beautiful views of plymouth bay while having a not too long 45 min wait. Plenty of seasonal draft options on tap, all wait staff friendly and not over bearing to make our late lunch that much better. parking is no problem as there is a large lot and valet parking too. Would definitely go back again as my daughter said at nighttime on wknd there is music outdoors too.
Great location right on the harborfront; complementary valet an added plus; plenty of parking even on busy evenings.
Server was professional but somewhat inattentive and impersonal.
Food was average at best. Returned the stuffed lobster as it was much more stuffing than lobster. The fried clams were a little soggy and more heavily breaded than what I would have expected. Wine list OK but could offer more variety for Sauvignon Blanc.
Wouldn't return give high prices and average quality.
