Earls Kitchen + Bar - Park Meadows Ratings and Reviews
Went for an early dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Didn’t really want to have dinner at the bar, but was told that was the only seating. (330 pm). Then before we even finished dinner, waitress was getting off so we were hurried to close out our ticket so she could leave. Didn’t offer dessert, acknowledge our celebration, or anything. Ok for a place for overpriced drinks with friends, beyond that, not sure I would return.
First we were seated at the back of the restaurant. Immediately we smelled a foul smell. After a moment we smelled a floral smell. It kept coming and going. We asked the waitress what that was and she said they had sealed the toilets and that they were trying to hide the smell by spraying something to cover it up regularly. We asked to have our table moved. We got moved halfway back in the restaurant on the side where we could see the fireplace. We we still smelled it a couple of times but not often. We ordered and the food was excellent. We were told that the manager was going to comp our wine. At the end of the meal another manager came over and wanted to know who said we were getting our wine comped because nobody could find out who and that wasn't normally something they would do. He asked if we have our hearts set on getting the wine comped. I said yes. It was comped on our bill, but we didn't feel too good about the whole experience. We also told the manager that we had been seated back there in the corner and he stated that he told the hostesses not to seed anybody back there...
The minute we sat down, there was an overwhelming smell of methane permeating the entire restaurant. We asked our hostess and server who said they were cleaning some sort of drain, and then they proceeded to spray air freshener all around the restaurant, which wasn't entirely appetizing. Throughout our lunch, the smell kept getting worse and the air freshener kept coming out. Wasn't an entirely great experience. Seems that you could clean the drain another time.
Food was excellent, but service was very bad. The waitress was extremely inattentive—-brought no bread plates or knife for the bread, forgot to bring the salad dressing for entree salad (had to wait until my business companion was almost finished with her meal before I got the dressing and could begin eating), and did not check back in filling drinks. Very disappointing.
Probably one of my worst dinning experiences. We went out for my husbands birthday with a party of seven. We began with adult beverages and 4 orders of appetizers. Even though orders were put in once the appetizers came, an hour later our food still had not arrived. We had to ask a few times when it our food would be ready. When we finally get our food, half of the dishes are cold. After asking the waitress to fix the situation quickly, because we also have our two year old with us and bedtime is fast approaching, we are told the kitchen is slammed and it would take an extended period of time to get our meals again. Finally, my husband spoke to the manager, who comped us with a 200$ gift card. When the bill came it still totaled around 120, so my husband asked to use the gift card to take care of the meal. Not that we will be going back anytime soon, but do you think we saw the remainder of the gift card before we left? Or the manager? Ever? Nope. We did manage to get a fresh order of fries for the kiddo... because that’s a reasonable meal for anyone!?! So after spending almost two hours at the restaurant, we filled our bellies with a few appetizers and a handful of fries. Majorly disappointed since we’ve used this location for all sorts of family functions.
Our drinks took forever to come to the table from the bar, which were eventually taken care of by the restaurant. The tables were sticky and dirty when we sat down and there was food all over the floor. Food was quick to come out of the kitchen and was good.
Went for dinner on a Saturday night and they were busy but seated us on time for our reservations. The highlight was the food. I had the steak and coconut shrimp combo. The steak was tender, tasty, and cooked exactly as I ordered. It had a very nice spicy sauce on it that was a pleasant surprise. The shrimp had a nice coconut crust that was not too sweet, and the curry sauce for it was excellent. My wife had the chicken tacos and both of us thought they were terrific. The server was friendly and enthusiastic, but perhaps new or not trained very well. Drinks took three trips to the table to finalize and she forgot to ask how I wanted my steak cooked. Overall we were very pleased and will definitely go back.
Coconut Shrimp was good, mix green salad was very good. The grilled swordfish tacos could have used another taco from the two you received. They were average at best. Seasoning overwhelmed the swordfish, which could have been tilapia for all I know. The ribs were good. In short, the meal was average - nothing to write home about.
After seated we were not greeted by anyone for at least 15 minutes. Manager came and said the wait person assigned to our table felt sick and left. We ordered the dry rib appetizer and it was still raw I cooked meat. Had to send it back. Order a Cesar salad to split and neither of us could finish it because it tasted so fishy. I will say the blue king steaks we ordered were fantastic but it was a rough start.
We went to Earl's for Christmas Eve, service was very good, and food was excellent. Large portions and very delicious. My guests wanted steaks and all the steakhouses (Flemings, Shanahan's, Del Frisco's) were sold out during the dinner hour, but fortunately for us, Earl's had one spot available for us! My guests got delicious steaks for a fraction of what we would have paid at the traditional steak houses. The BBQ ribs were the best I've tasted.
Earl’s is a very good place to eat and very consistent in service and quality of food. When we’re tired of the same old same old and don’t want to drop big bucks, Earl’s if the place. There are few moderately priced restaurants that you can count on. Earl’s fits the bill.
Sapphire Martini was terrible and overpriced !! A total ripoff and the food was mediocre at best. Waitress was good and indicated she was reasonably new. Will not go again or recommend. J Alexander's is superior and their martinis are excellent and less expensive. Earl's will be closed within a year!!!!
Service was good at first and food was ok. When the bill came, 2 of us were quite surprised to see what we thought to be errors. One charge was fixed by our waitress and one wasn't. I was charged $34 for 2 martinis--ones that I have ordered at least a dozen times at various downtown restaurants--the same size and strength, but certainly not at this exorbitant price. In addition, the blue cheese in the olives was bad. Sigh.
The place was nice and so was the staff but the music level was super high. It was hard to talk to my wife a crossed from me. Food was ok, garlic fries were great for a starter but I got steak and sushi combo. Sushi was the worse I ever had and steak was ok. My wife said her steak was just ok too but the sides were great. If I want a great steak ill just go to White Chocolate Grill next time.
Was looking forward to taking my family out to dinner last night and had never tried Earl's before. Seemed like a nice place but the service was very disappointing. Our waiter was nice but very inattentive from the get go. We sat down and waited at least 15 minutes before our waiter ever showed up. We then ordered drinks and our meals and I never received a drink I had ordered. I later made sure he didn't charge me for it. After receiving our meals, he was very slow to refill our clearly-empty drinks that sat for a while too. For a higher-end restaurant we definitely expected much more for service. Needless to say we won't be returning to Earl's.
Our foursome returned because we’ve enjoyed early evenings here. Service was excellent as were the two appetizers...the guacamole and sushi rolls. Everyone enjoyed the “Happy Hour” wine choices with a couple glasses each. The entree selections were on the light side, but all plates were cleaned when returned the kitchen. Being away from the bar allowed us to easily do some business and then enjoy catching up. Productive and fun evening...expect we’ll be back again even though we missed the comfortable outside seating with fall temperatures keeping us inside. Missed our servers name, but he did great!,
