Still one of our favorite places to eat when we are downtown. Food has always been good. One drawback is the noise level. If you are looking for conversation, you will need to speak loud to be heard.
Nice variety of food. The bacon cheeseburger was terrific! Great location, especially for any Paramount Theater events.
Food was good. Service was ok. Server just had NO personality!
Another great experience at Earl’s!! Thanks for being a go to spot for business meals.
Amazing - highly recommend. Fun atmosphere. Great service. Larger portions than what I expected. Happy hour menu looked great - wish I would of indulged. Please build one in Milwaukee, I miss you already!
The restaurant staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent! Energy of the atmosphere was high for a Wednesday evening at 7:30. Unfortunately, so was the volume. My associate and I had to repeat ourselves over and over again throughout the evening because it was so loud. I would not recommend if you need to have an important conversation.
The listed address is misleading--the front door is on 16th Street. The menu has great variety with something for everyone. Service was good, food was a solid "good."
Our server Kelly was terrific, food is always great
We ate at Earls before Fehrety comedy show at Paramount. The food was good and service was fantastic. We returned after the show for drinks and our same server and Mgr brought us a big sushi platter on the House. It was delicious and a very nice gesture!!
I had a business meal to arrange for out-of-town guests. They thoughtfully placed us upstairs where it's more private, and we enjoyed a great evening of food and cheer. The menu choices allow wide flexibility in palates, and the service was outstanding.
While service was not as good as anticipated they were friendly and courteous. My wife had sirloin and shrimp. Sirloin was good but shrimp bland. I had the baked salmon and extra vegetable since I am eating keto. They accommodated me and the food was great.
The staff was super friendly and food was amazing. Definitely worth the price.
I have been here for brunch and happy hour and they are both great! The brunch food was delicious and the happy hour food was great as well except the fish tacos were just ok (over-cooked). Everything else was great to include drinks and service and price. Will go back for happy hour for sure!
I really wanted to love everything about Earls...and I did love the food. I had a chicken bibimbap bowl, which was wonderful. Crispy rice, nice mix of veggies, creamy egg. Had a lovely booth which was cozy and great for conversation.
What moved it from really good to so so was my disappointment in the service....got all of our drink orders totally backwards and didn't offer to correct it, got my bowl made initially with beef rather than chicken, didn't check back, etc. Some of my least favorite service in recent memory.
Had a relatively early dinner here (6:30 PM) just prior to attending a Buddy Guy concert at the Paramount. I had no trouble making an Open Table reservation the day of, and was surprised it was so busy when we arrived. Glad I made the reservation, we ran into snow traffic and were late, but made a call and they extended reservation by 1/2 hour, no problems. Food was real good (I had poke salad and Fish Tacos, wife had a burger with no bun). Tuna was fresh in Poke (and was immersed in a nice, not too spicy avocado dip) Fish Taco was made with a blackened grilled swordfish, very nice flavor and texture. That a couple of drinks primed us for the concert. Beer selection was good, as was the mixed drinks.
Very accommodating to our group's needs!
We enjoyed our curved booth on an elevated part of the floor. This shape permitted us to see one another and chat. The chicken tacos were superb and so flavorful. I liked the option of just getting the two tacos without a side of soup or salad.
For the first time in a long time I had an unpleasant experience at Earl's. First let me say that our waitress, Emily, was wonderful! The service issue above is not her and is twofold. First, the 2 hostesses couldn't have been more rude. I had a early reservation so the place was not busy. Evidently, one phone call took two of them to handle. The hostess was rude and surly to me. Never a smile or a thanks (not while walking out either, which they almost always do).
The second problem was that my go to, Leroy's Dry Ribs were brought to the table and after eating one, I pulled apart the second larger one and it was raw inside. I realize this happens. I showed them to Emily and she was embarrassed. She whisked them away and brought us more. The problem is that no manager came by to apologize and, to be honest, I don't see any reason to have charged me for the meal let alone the dry ribs. I never care about getting free food but when you're served something that could make you very sick or worse, some better acknowledgement that there is a problem is certainly warranted. My friend hadn't been to Earl's in a long time and based on the rude hostesses first and then being served disgusting food with no remorse, she said she won't be back. It will not be the first place I think of with Yardhouse and many other options so close by. I have warned everyone I know about this experience and intend to recommend other options when asked.
Our reservation was for 6pm but we arrived 10 minutes early. We were seated without delay. The waitress was very nice. She let us know happy hour was available for another 10 minutes and offered to get our drink order quickly so we could take advantage of the happy hour pricing. We decided on the 6oz pour of their Malbec. Very good wine. We also shared the dragon and dynamite rolls plus the avocado/quinoa salad. Everything was yummy and the service was awesome.
Thanks to Earl's for a fun evening with yummy food and drinks!
We've been before and were really looking forward to dinner. While my husband's burger was reliably excellent and the sangria was wonderful, my bibimbop was not good. It's not bibimpop if the beef isn't flavored and cooked in the Korean style. The pickled vegetables provided the only flavor, making the dish both bland and too sour at the same time. Only salt made it palatable. I'd drop this dish from the menu for sure. And the chocolate banana cake was inedible. Dry cake, and some of the banana strips had the consistency of tough leather. On top of it all, we had a server who brought our food to the wrong table not once but twice, made assumptions about how many of each thing we wanted, and generally seemed kind of out it. Very disappointing experience this time. :-(
Food was great. Service was not. Slow getting to the table. Ordered a 2nd bottle of wine and it did not make it to the table until we were ready to leave.
We went to Earl's before going to the theatre, and it was perfect! The food and service were outstanding, it didn't break the bank, and the shuttle stops nearby so it was a quick trip to the theatre.
The food was ok. Sat like a rock in my stomach..yuck. I'm thinking by looking around...people come for the drinks.
Service was fair- she had almost no bother tables and left us alone for the majority of the meal...which got old when all you wanted was water. Not worth the effort to go back :/
Out of town visitors; great food great service :)
Excellent food and ambiance. Friendly staff, though seemed understaffed and took a while to clear plates from ours and surrounding tables. Not a reason not to go, though!
Went for restaurant week. To start our party was seated separetly. I had made reservations for 4. My husband and I showed up first. After the host took us to our table I found out the other half of our party had already been seated but we’re downstairs? Our friends told me they gave my name with the time of our reservation to the host so it sure how we were both seated separately under the same name. The Food was good although I asked my steak to be cooked “medium” and it was more well done. Not a biggie. main complaint would be the service. Got served warm water, no ice. Took 30 mins to just get our drinks. Waited an hr for just our appetizer! Then another 40 mins to get our entre.Didn’t seem busy at all no sure what the hold up was. Would give it another shot though.
We enjoyed Earl’s during restaurant week. The food and price was phenomenal!
Probably the best preparation of Salmon I have ever had! The whole meal was fantastic and HOT when it came to the table. My husbands meal was equally as good! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
We came for restaurant week. They had nothing for lunch for restaurant week. I think it's the only restaurant that didn't offer any lunch items for restaurant week.
Ordered the swordfish tacos. Swordfish was overcooked and dry. Service was excellent, she filled my water glass up every time it got half empty. Asparagus was delicious.
We went to Earl's as part of Denver Restaurant Week. The special menu was a good price, though the selections were somewhat limited. Normal menu prices trend a bit toward the expensive side. The dynamite roll and the cheesecake were the highlights of the meal. Entrees were good, but nothing special. The $5 wine special for the month of February was a nice find, and the wine list looks fairly comprehensive. Standard beer list. Might go back for a special occasion or with a larger happy hour group, though not on a regular basis.
I am the event coordinator for my company. I made reservations at Earl based on Yelp reviews. I'm always a touch nervous if I've not actually been there myself. However, every single person who attended that evening took the time to let me know that they really enjoyed it and the food was awesome. Thank you!
Amazing food and a great happy hour menu! Lovely atmosphere to get together with friends.
Loved the Ahi Tuna salad!
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The food was cold and over cooked. A weird combination I know. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and we all left disappointed. I have eaten at Earls downtown before and I remember it better than this. We will not be back in the near term I'm sorry to say.
It was quite noisy, the service was pretty slow and our check in at the podium did not go smoothly. Had been there before and had a much better experience so don't know if it was just that night but not as favorable towards it as we were before.
I’ve never had food this poor there and crappy service. Don’t know if I will go back. Chicken was served way under cooked and server acted like it was our problem
Too bad the fire alarm ruined the experience-So glad my Uncle was sick and unable to attend, he would have made us all walk out. The evening was actually planned to celebrate his Birthday with dinner and a show at the Paramount.
Great place for large group dinner. Enjoyed very much.
