Our reservation was for 6pm but we arrived 10 minutes early. We were seated without delay. The waitress was very nice. She let us know happy hour was available for another 10 minutes and offered to get our drink order quickly so we could take advantage of the happy hour pricing. We decided on the 6oz pour of their Malbec. Very good wine. We also shared the dragon and dynamite rolls plus the avocado/quinoa salad. Everything was yummy and the service was awesome.
Thanks to Earl's for a fun evening with yummy food and drinks!
We've been before and were really looking forward to dinner. While my husband's burger was reliably excellent and the sangria was wonderful, my bibimbop was not good. It's not bibimpop if the beef isn't flavored and cooked in the Korean style. The pickled vegetables provided the only flavor, making the dish both bland and too sour at the same time. Only salt made it palatable. I'd drop this dish from the menu for sure. And the chocolate banana cake was inedible. Dry cake, and some of the banana strips had the consistency of tough leather. On top of it all, we had a server who brought our food to the wrong table not once but twice, made assumptions about how many of each thing we wanted, and generally seemed kind of out it. Very disappointing experience this time. :-(
Food was great. Service was not. Slow getting to the table. Ordered a 2nd bottle of wine and it did not make it to the table until we were ready to leave.
We went to Earl's before going to the theatre, and it was perfect! The food and service were outstanding, it didn't break the bank, and the shuttle stops nearby so it was a quick trip to the theatre.
The food was ok. Sat like a rock in my stomach..yuck. I'm thinking by looking around...people come for the drinks.
Service was fair- she had almost no bother tables and left us alone for the majority of the meal...which got old when all you wanted was water. Not worth the effort to go back :/
Out of town visitors; great food great service :)
Excellent food and ambiance. Friendly staff, though seemed understaffed and took a while to clear plates from ours and surrounding tables. Not a reason not to go, though!
Went for restaurant week. To start our party was seated separetly. I had made reservations for 4. My husband and I showed up first. After the host took us to our table I found out the other half of our party had already been seated but we’re downstairs? Our friends told me they gave my name with the time of our reservation to the host so it sure how we were both seated separately under the same name. The Food was good although I asked my steak to be cooked “medium” and it was more well done. Not a biggie. main complaint would be the service. Got served warm water, no ice. Took 30 mins to just get our drinks. Waited an hr for just our appetizer! Then another 40 mins to get our entre.Didn’t seem busy at all no sure what the hold up was. Would give it another shot though.
We enjoyed Earl’s during restaurant week. The food and price was phenomenal!
Probably the best preparation of Salmon I have ever had! The whole meal was fantastic and HOT when it came to the table. My husbands meal was equally as good! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
We came for restaurant week. They had nothing for lunch for restaurant week. I think it's the only restaurant that didn't offer any lunch items for restaurant week.
Ordered the swordfish tacos. Swordfish was overcooked and dry. Service was excellent, she filled my water glass up every time it got half empty. Asparagus was delicious.
We went to Earl's as part of Denver Restaurant Week. The special menu was a good price, though the selections were somewhat limited. Normal menu prices trend a bit toward the expensive side. The dynamite roll and the cheesecake were the highlights of the meal. Entrees were good, but nothing special. The $5 wine special for the month of February was a nice find, and the wine list looks fairly comprehensive. Standard beer list. Might go back for a special occasion or with a larger happy hour group, though not on a regular basis.
I am the event coordinator for my company. I made reservations at Earl based on Yelp reviews. I'm always a touch nervous if I've not actually been there myself. However, every single person who attended that evening took the time to let me know that they really enjoyed it and the food was awesome. Thank you!
Amazing food and a great happy hour menu! Lovely atmosphere to get together with friends.
Loved the Ahi Tuna salad!
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The food was cold and over cooked. A weird combination I know. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and we all left disappointed. I have eaten at Earls downtown before and I remember it better than this. We will not be back in the near term I'm sorry to say.
It was quite noisy, the service was pretty slow and our check in at the podium did not go smoothly. Had been there before and had a much better experience so don't know if it was just that night but not as favorable towards it as we were before.
Too bad the fire alarm ruined the experience-So glad my Uncle was sick and unable to attend, he would have made us all walk out. The evening was actually planned to celebrate his Birthday with dinner and a show at the Paramount.
Great place for large group dinner. Enjoyed very much.
I was very disappointed in our last visit to one of our favorites. Horrible horrible service. Sat fir 10 minutes before even got waters. Ordered cocktails, appetizers and dinner. 45 minutes later, our 3 of 4 entrees arrived. No appetizers ever arrived. Plus our cocktails were gone and our waters had not been refilled. One entree was ice cold. Sent back and finally we had all entrees..65 minutes after we arrived. Very very bad night for a usually good place to dine. Way too many choices for such bad service.
Most of our food was served room temperature, including steak, hamburger, fries and green beans. The steak was full of gristle. The Dynamite roll and bread were very good. Overall a disappointing meal.
Got a last minute reservation on a very busy convention center and bellco theater night- service was outstanding and food very reasonable as the quality was excellent! will go again next time we go down that way!
Earls is one of our favorite go to restaurants! We personally like the upstairs as is it a little more quiet that the downstairs but when it's nice we like to sit outside downstairs too:) Love the Steak and Sushi. That's our default meal but have enjoyed many of the items on the menu! Appetizer favorite is the Avocado Toast. We love sitting at the bar upstairs and visiting with Dave the bartender!
This is a great restaurant, with excellent food. Spent two nights in a row there last week. The only criticism is the service. It is very slow, even by relaxed standards. We had to ask for attention several times both nights.
I have been to eat there the past 2 times business has taken me to Denver and I would highly recommend it. The steaks/beef are excellent and the atmosphere is fun.
My husband and I had eaten at Earl's a few years ago (we are from Wyoming) We remembered how great it was then so we decided to give it another go with our two good friends. It was just was wonderful as we had remembered. The service was spot on and all of our dinners were delicious. It was so fun to dress up and enjoy a night out at a cool restaurant!
Incredible menu, food was perfect. Husband loved the ribs! Would book Earl's again!
Went there for Sister's Night (4 of us), dinner and a show. Everyone loved their food. I had the Jerk Chicken. It was different but so so yummy. It came with a warm cole-slaw and a rice dish that were both GREAT. I would definitely order it again. To drink, we all had the Coconut Mint Margaritas and they were out of this world. If we didn't have a show to go to we would have had a few more.
They were totally out of riblets which is one of the things they’re known. Our waitress was very good, Nichol.
Great meal! The salmon was excellent and salad was delicious!
The staff was not friendly. Seemed irritated by request for an extra menu and poor job at checking for additional drinks and needs.
My 25 year old son chose it for a special occasion and invited 2 friends. He enjoyed it as did his friends.
I thought the food was bland. Asked for hot sauce for the guacamole appetizer and had to wait a long time for it. They weren't even busy at that point.
The dessert menu is not very inspiring. We ordered one thing to share but would have done 2 if there were more or better options.
My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely, tasty and healthy dinner before our show at the theater. We both found wonderful wine by the glass to suit our different tastes.
Earl's has great ambiance, and a great feel. Our waitress was great, but the food was just so so.
Burger was pretty good but fries were not hot. I should have sent them back but we were in a rush to get to a show. Overall, pretty decent.
They had no hamburgers on a Thursday night!? Really?!
I chose the restaurant because it took lunch reservations and I was on a tight schedule. Meeting some friends who had moved to Denver, the restaurant was close to my hotel. The food choices were excellent——from traditional bar fare to some rather creative dishes. The only drawback is the noise level. We were talking over everyone else and the music. Other than that, it was enjoyable.
Food: good. Service: meh. Disappointing when you get your meal 2 minutes after the appetizer. Server checked on us 30 seconds after the meal arrived then didn't return until the end of the meal. We had to ask for a drink refill.
Made it in time for happy hour - ordered Green Dragon roll, queso fundido dip, and the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. There were very generous portions of all three - they were very tasty and quite enough for two people to share. We also ordered beverages - Moscow Mule and a Tito's martini with a lemon twist. The drinks were a disappointment. The Moscow Mule cup was mostly ice and had about a 1/4 cup of beverage. The martini was below the half mark of the martini glass. I'd definitely go back to try other menu items as I think the kitchen does a great job. Next time, we'll stick with beer - at least they get close to the top of the pint glass....
Table for 10, was ready on time and service was wonderful! Had a diverse group with vegetarian members. Everyone was very happy with the food!
