Earls Kitchen + Bar - Downtown Denver
Lauren is the most interesting, engaging & captivating sever we have ever had. Fantastic service!!!!
Arrived early for our reservation because it was a busy Friday night. Was placed at a high top table in a high traffic area of the restaurant. I hate high top tables. Food and drink were promptly served and wait staff was friendly. Food was average. My husband asked for his Kung Pau Chicken to be extra spicy, but it only had a small bite to it. I find I won't eat a higher priced meal at a high top table-just too bar like, not for a meal.
Great food. Plant based options. Nice modern decor. Wish the noise level was lower.
My husband and I had a very special dinner at Earl's. We had reservations through OpenTable (reservations recommended). Our server, Rachel, was personable and attentive without being pushy or intrusive. And the food! Earl's has a great plant-based menu: we shared the Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower and I had the Green Dragon Roll---sooo good! He had the Filet with Peppersauce and said it was great! Great drinks, too! We will definitely be back!
Friendly staff and manager. Great food at great prices.
I got the recommendation for Earl's from the Concierge at the Hyatt downtown. We were looking for a great steak but not a steak house price. When we got to the restaurant we were taken care of right away, and the waitress made sure we were able to take advantage of the happy hour specials. The drinks were so delicious and when our steaks came to the table the waitress asked to have us cut into them to make sure the kitchen cooked them exactly how we wanted. Our server, I think her name was Rachel, was so attentive and gave great recommendations for other night life. The restaurant is so beautiful and has a very welcoming and cozy feel. I will definitely be back next time I am in downtown Denver. Cheers!
Not worth the price we paid. Only the clam chowder was very good. Ribs were very disappointing.
Food was good, service was OK. However, it was so loud in the restaurant that I could hardly hear my partner talk, who was only 2 feet or so away. They need to find a way to tone it down. Such a high noise level would cause me to rethink going here again.
The place is cool - but it is so noisy you cannot have a conversation. I got the power bowl which was ok - the squash was way under cooked. I added a side of grilled salmon based on the recommendation of our server - it was fishy! Admittedly, I'm picky. We asked the hosts to seat us in a booth but also to put us somewhere more quiet - we were seated in the noisiest section (where there are booths?) and when I went to use the restroom (not so clean), I saw that it was way less noisy on that side of the restaurant. I wish the host would have said that. All in all very disappointing to me.
Awesome experience with a nice location in denver
Nice atmosphere, food was delicious. They were out of a few menu items though which was a little disappointing.
We went on Thursday, and enjoyed a nice farewell lunch between coworkers. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, and helped guide me to a side salad to go along with my lobster tostadas. Great suggestion!
Overall very nice, reasonably priced and a great place to enjoy a lunch among friends.
Great lunch. Also high quality late night happy hour. It has good options for vegetarians and meat eaters.
Great lunch spot. The street kitchen tacos were excellent!
Food and cocktails were basically thrown onto or table. No questions no interaction
Saturday I was at their restaurant for dinner. We were a table of 4 and were placed at a high top table in the main part of the dining area. I hung my jacket over my chair. As we were getting ready to leave the restaurant, I discovered that a waiter/waitress had dumped some type of asian chili sauce on my sweater and all over my coat. The hostesses were very nice and helped me clean it up. The manager Josh could not help me and gave me a card for his boss and said I should contact him. While I appreciated their efforts and I was not happy that the employee who dumped this sauce on me did not stop at that time it happened and address what happened. I have washed the jacket however the smell is not coming out.
Great spot for dinner snacks before Paramount theater show !
It’s a very loud bistro. The menu is quite eclectic, unfortunately on my night, non of the food was done well. Started with the rib appetizer. Pretty much Applebee’s riblets deep fried and then way over salted. It was followed with the Hot chicken sandwich. Fries were inedible secondary to being way over salted. The sandwich has two pieces of meat. One was pretty tasted, though grease laden. The second piece was dry seasoned after the cooking with so much dry powder seasoning that when I knocked it with a knife on its side my plate looked red. My wife’s BibimBop was sans salt, but the rice over cooked and crunchy beyond what you would expect. Yes, our waiter was very friendly; they offered to remake everything, but not worth the time. Convenient to the convention center, but won’t be back again.
Great food and drinks. A little loud and our group of 4 was crammed into a small booth. Still had a good time!
Too loud to carry on a conversation on the lower level
Service is always slow. Food is just OK.
Well for one umbrella flew off table outside hitting your customers breaking glass as soon as we arrived.
I had to send my steak back 2 different times for it bleeding on my plate when I asked medium well... me and my husband use to go to the one in cherry creek but after this we will not b back for a long time
Also still had the nerve to charge us $111.73
Great menu, something for everyone. Very reasonable for downtown Denver.
Food, service and ambiance were great! Will definitely come back again.
Good food. Great service. Fun spot. Right in the heart of things downtown.
Incredible brunch deals
Earl’s was a great experience! I am from Atlanta and this restaurant was a true Colorado experience! The service was great and the food was even better. The wait staff including Blair and Jennifer were great! I will definitely recommend this restaurant to others traveling to Denver. The only negative was constantly asking me for other food to order when I told the waitress that will wait and let them know.
Waitress was not very friendly and forgot about us a few times, in fact we had to ask over and over for water and soy sauce for our sushi and never even received the soy sauce. It was not even a busy night.
Food was awesome. Service very nice but a bit slow.
Made reservations which required myself and my date to dine upstairs. When we showed up the upstairs area was closed and was not to be opened at all for the night.
The steaks were fantastic
What a pleasant surprise, especially the scallops. They were AWESOME! Being from Florida, I don’t usually expect good seafood in Colorado, but this was an except ion!
Amazing flavor... had the blackened swordfish tacos & my daughter had the fried tofu bowl.
I just really like their bibimap dish and drinks. So when I get a craving for this dish we always go there.
It was very loud and we could not hear each other so not a good place for conversation. However, we were there right at 5 pm and happy hour. We all had salads and they were excellent.
Lovely servier who gave us plenty of space to conduct our business meeting, but was quietly attentive to plates, beverage, etc.
This location had a great view and was perfect for the summer. The menu didn't have the same options as the restaurant in the DTC and that was very disappointing. The girl who waited on us was nice but the staff in the DTC were outstanding.
We enjoyed our lunch. The ribs were very tender and tasty. The coleslaw was excellent as was the warm potato salad.
Our experience has mixed reviews. We waited for at least 5-10 minutes at the hostess stand and finally went to the bar to get a hostess. They said sorry they were short-handed. Not a good start. There was a very large loud group on the other side of the restaurant (not their fault) but we had to listen to them the whole time. I felt the pricing was a bit high. The food was good overall. The wine prices were way overpriced. My glass of "nothing special" wine was $13 for a tall pour. Lastly, we had asked for drink specials. They had a few craft beers for $3/pint. Great news until we got the bill and the waitress didn't take the discounts off and had to have her settle that prior to paying tab. Overall, I don't think I will be back. Too bad....I was looking forward to their happy hour specials, but Ill go somewhere else more than likely.
