Named after Eamonn Maher, the pub is an excellent addition to Mr. Maher's family of establishments.
Step inside this contemporary and lively Midtown bar & enjoy our easy-going, hospitable atmosphere. Our friendly staff are always ready to serve & entertain from either of our two charming bars.
Located literally steps from Grand Central Terminal, Eamonn's is ideal for that important business lunch, a secluded conversation or an after-work get together.
47-50 Rockefeller Center Subway stop is located 2 blocks South of Eamonns.
Made a reservation for a client lunch for 4 (all from out of state) about 1 week ago, and when I showed up today the location was closed and the inside had been stripped of all furniture and wall coverings. The sign on the door said they did not renew their lease. Open Table did not know the site was closed for some reason.
The restaurant was closed for renovations when we got there!!!
Limited menu options it was New Years Eve and cold. We both were hoping for Sheppards Pie or Chicken Pot Pie but out of both. Not impressed with Fish N Chips.
Fun! The front (bar area) was a bit noisy for our family dinner, so the back area was perfect. Excellent service by our nice server with her authentic Irish accent. Will come again.
Birthday lunch for a colleague. Food is always solid and service is always good.
Sheapard Pie was very good. Snd the caulliflour soup was really good too. Easy to get o from Grand Central station
Food was outstanding. Service was good. Easy to find.
Friendly place. Great service, good food, great drinks!
Waitstaff were super friendly. Food was very good. Super fresh salad and the fish and chips were superb!
Upstairs restaurant is only open for lunch, so we sat at a table downstairs. Upstairs would have been brighter, but the downstairs was a comfy pub atmosphere. Authentic Irish food and great pints of Guinness! We had the Shepherd's Pie and Fish and Chips with homemade tartar sauce and real potatoes fried to perfection! Affordable and delicious - I will definitely be going back!
We gave this restaurant a go a bit last minute. So glad we did. With 2 15 yr old boys and looking for a restaurant that would suit us all. We found it.
Lovely welcome on arrival and that was the theme all night. Thoroughly enjoyed our last night in NY food was fresh and very well cooked just lovely.
Thoroughly recommend hidden treasure.
Eamonn's is a great go-to Midtown Irish pub. Appropriate selection of pub food, appropriate selection of beers. Good, attentive service. All you need.
I have been coming here for years for lunch or after work. They have the best potato skins and their hamburgers are excellent. The only reason I don't go more often is that they don't do buy backs.
Eamon's is a pretty good pub, especially the fries (I think I go there just for them!!)
OMG! The Blackened Snapper was super fresh and delicious! I highly recommend any of the Blackened fish they serve... The chef is very accommodating even when they don't have it as a special. I have been coming here for over three years and they continue to be very consistent with the food, service and experience they provide....
Very accommodating the food delish, server excellent. 😊
Very good pub food, great service. Upstairs dining room very comfortable.
I loved the atmosphere when I arrived. The menu was creative and the food delicious. A good sports bar/pub but, not noisy. I look forward to returning!
When one walks past the noisy bar, it is a pleasant surprise to be seated in the quiet tables at the back. The service is attentive and very friendly. The food was very reasonably priced and very tasty. This is a great place to meet after work for a quiet dinner where you can talk and hear your dinner partner. It's a real find! Shhh.
Noisy as usual. Food is good pub fare.
Good service and good food in a pub atmosphere. Good pre-show meal blocks from Times Square and the theater district.
Tried & true Irish pub fare. Convenient midtown location. Casual but doesn't feel cheap.
Great spot for lunch in midtown. Good drinks.
Reserved the day before via Open Table. got seated immediately, waiter was attentive and serving staff were polite. Food was great, had various dishes between the four of us including a burger and steak, both cooked to liking. Live sports game being streamed which was entertaining, free wifi and comfortable seating. Only criticism was that a party which arrived after us were squeezed into a space next to our table (the walkway which one of us used to get to their seat) and the other party's chair was hard up against our table which was off putting and meant slight inconvenience when trying to exit our table when we were finished. Never seen that in a restaurant before and it was a bit off. Other than that, generally good experience and would recommend this place!
The menu was not very Irish, but the food was good. I couldn't get a Smithwicks, a very basic Irish beer but they did at least have Guinness . Service was fair for a place that was not very busy.
It was great place , the food was great. One of the girls I was with were vegetarian so it was the perfect place.
Really nosy and crowded for lunch. Food was fine. Nothing spectacular
Our server was great, the food delish and the drinks excellent. Big portions and not expensive.
I ordered the Steak sandwich and it was perfection. My friend ordered the Chicken Teryaki also perfection! Our waiter was very attentive and knowlegable about the menu and was able to answer our questions regarding food/sauce preparation. We have been to Eamons before and although we enjoy the daily specials and regular menu we wish we can order from the tapas menu during lunch. This is a perfect place for a business lunch and would recommend to co-workers as well as friends.
After making a reservation via open table at another restaurant and, despite receiving a confirmation email, we were rudely told there was no reservation. According to the hostess, the lack of one was "our fault", and we would not get a table. With 5 girls who came from all over the tri state area to meet up in the city and have dinner and now no place to eat on a Saturday night, I quickly looked up other restaurants in the area. Eamonns came up as someplace close with good reviews so we went. The staff was so nice and accommodating. We came early and we were still seated pretty much right away. We sat in the back and had drinks, apps, dinner, and coffee. All were great. The waitress saw we wanted to sit and talk so there was no rush to leave. Prices for extremely fair for NYC. There was a private event going on upstairs but it was not bothersome. I would definitely go back. Thank you for saving our girls' day, Eamonns!
I ordered the Thanksgiving four course pre-fixe consisting of pumpkin apple soup; roasted beet salad with chopped walnuts, baby arugula and blue cheese dressing; roast turkey with cranberry compote, Brussells sprouts and stuffing with spinach, artichoke and brie; and finally pecan pie with whipped cream and coffee. Brilliant! My compliments to the chef.
We had a small get together for a friends' birthday she had picked the place as she loved their fish and chips. 3 of 6 had the fish and chips and raved. One had the veggie burger was happy, another had regular burger just as happy and I had the chicken pot pie so enjoyed. They bought cake over and everyone sang happy birthday (nice size piece of cake from the management). The service was outstanding. Highly recommend.
I have been down in Manhattan all week for business and I ate dinner at Eamonn's twice. Both experiences were very pleasant. I enjoyed some nice wine along with a delicious turkey burger the first night. The steak fries were the best I've ever had....almost like chips. The Shepherd's Pie was my choice on night two and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent on both occasions and I will return again on my next trip into NYC. The servers were warm & accommodating and checked in on my regularly to ensure I was enjoying my experience. I LOVE the name....it is also my son's name, spelled exactly the same way. My only comment/suggestion would be about lighting. Although the restaurant was very cozy, it was a bit too dark, as I needed to raise my candle to the menu in order to read it. Otherwise, everything was just as I hoped it would be. Keep up the great work! :) :)
Good quality. It's a pub but, the service has gotten better now if the food quality would uptick as well they could be dangerous.
Eamonn's is a great restaurant for lunch or dinner. The menu has lots of dishes to choose from. All dishes can be prepared to your liking. Everything from French Onion Soup to Vegetable Swiss burgers are delicious. Service is personable and wonderful!
My friends and I have a regular "boys night out" here every other month or so - always have a great time - food is good, staff is friendly and fast, and location is convenient and fun.
food is good as is the value. A great place for lunch, especially when you have limited time.
The specials are always fresh and there are numerous choices. The servings are plentiful and the servers are friendly and accommodating.
Nothing special good or bad here, everything was just plain fine, no more/no less.
Food quality needs to be stepped up and prepared as described on the menu. Steamed vegetables is not sautéed in olive oil. It is a basic menu that should be easily executed especially, early in the week at lunch when the restaurant is not busy. Sandwiches served cold as well.
Great food and atmosphere... Very pleasant waitstaff.
