Eagle's Nest - Hyatt Regency Indianapolis Ratings and Reviews
Best place in Indiana I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant, I was very surprised with how laxed the dress code was enforced. My wife and I came from out of town (we’re moving to Indy in a few months because I work here), and so all we knew was that business casual was the expectation. For me, not my wife, I was a little disappointed to read the bar being set so high, only not to see it lived out in reality; many clients came in jeans and gym shoes, or polos, pullover jackets. I did notice there was one disruptive Customer, but could have more been a one-off situation. He was trying to bestow quality dining upon one of his young men, but was making sure his voice and “social status” was of some importance as he letting one his boys know to tip the young male waiter (of Caucasian descent).
Our waitress, Daniella was very attentive to our needs, but every item from drinks and appetizers to the entrees were delayed and took awhile to get to us. When we revisited our concern a few times Daniella gave us every impression that she tried her best to help expedite our orders but there was some system snafu (maybe to where our order kept getting skipped). It’s hard to truly measure how “on top of the situation” she was with the same delay to us getting our entree orders. The bigger flaw in the evening was Daniella forgetting to bring my wife her leftover Salmon and polenta meal; and my wife adored the meal. So the service certainly needed some work, which it to our surprise from all the reviews and initial service provided when we arrived, and watching each waiter/busboy (Josue was great with people).
Very cool experience overall, and the first time I witnessed a proposal right in the restaurant. I would come back, but if you would like any honest feedback over the phone, or photos from our evening, please feel free to reach out to me 773-439-9781. Josue was so good, I almost considered offering him a job! He was very professional , and understood the significance of his role.
The view was spectacular! The food was delicious for the most part. One of our party had to send her steak back twice because it wasn’t cooked to her liking. The manager was more than generous in taking care of her bill. Our waitress was amazing. Overall I would definitely recommend The Eagles Nest and I will definitely come back.
Fantastic!!! The views and the ambiance were amazing. but what was even better was the staff and the awesome prime rib!!! The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The prime rib was the best we've ever had!!! Thank you for an awesome experience!!!
We knew going in that this place is expensive, has so-so service and not much for children. We go for each of our grandchildren's 13 birthday as a treat and so that they can see the city from up high.
Our server was what I would call neither good nor bad in character or quality, sort of average. I would expect more from this type of restaurant. I understand that the staff, including those at reception, probably have to deal with a lot of self-important people, but...........
They seem strict about the menu, which is their prerogative, but...............
Our last grandchild will probably enjoy a different restaurant, such as Oceannaire or one of the many other fine restaurants in the city.
I never understood why the experience here has never been first-rate.
Had a date night here and loved it! We did one full rotation while having an appetizer and meal. Only complaint was the service was pretty slow which was weird because it was nearly empty in there. Not sure why but since that was our first time dining there, cant use it against em! Would highly recommend and will return ourselves!
I would say the Eagle's Nest is an often overlooked gem. With all of the other restaurants in Indy, the Eagle's Nest sets quietly (literally) atop the city offering unique dishes with great service. My wife had the Seared Sea Scallops and I had the Red Sea Bass. Both of our meals were prepared and plated very well! The Eagle's Nest is not a inexpensive restaurant, but I can say it is good location for any special occasion. We won't wait as long to go back!
We visited to celebrate our anniversary, and Mackenzie took great care of us. The food and service were incredible! Unfortunately, it was the night of the Big Ten championship game, so the ambience was not as we would have hoped. Lots of boisterous Wisconsin and Ohio State fans! We made the best if it, though, and had an incredible night.
The food was wonderful. Our waitress Renee was very attentive and friendly. We were there almost 2 hours, we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Renee brought drinks and bread right away and checked on us frequently. She gave us plenty time to enjoy our appetizers before salads arrived. Our Entrees were set before us as soon as the salads were finished. The Prime Filet was perfect as ordered. The view of Indianapolis was beautiful as the sun began to set, then the city lights and Christmas display on Monument Circle illuminated. It was a great place to spend our 45th anniversary with two of our very best friends of many years.
