I was disappointed with Eagle Tavern. I have eaten there many times and enjoyed it. However this time I was not impressed with the lunch menu, the salad I ordered and the prices. The service was good.
The Eagle Tavern has wonderful food and service. We ordered the shrimp cocktail for appetizers and enjoyed some well made drinks.
As always the entrees were delicious!
The Eagle Tavern has always been nice over the many years we have been coming. Not fancy, but predictably very good. We have never been disappointed and we will come back again and again.
The food was great. We had soups, seafood, and turf. It was tasty, made to order, and high quality. I thought the quantities too generous. The waitress seemed distracted as she dropped some food and also brought the wrong drinks to the table. The atmosphere was good and it was nice that we could have a good conversation without too music noise.
Our server Luna was wonderful. We all had the Wed night prime rib special - each of us requested it be prepared dfferently and it was served as we had requested. Best prime rib we have had in a long time. A lovely evening at. local favorite!
It is a very pleasant place...excellent waitress, hostess, bartender and owner. We go once a year to meet friends from Harrisburg. We come from New Jersey so this is the middle for both of us.
Lobster night is always great.....service always good......always fun.
Great food and service. Devon our server was friendly, attentive and went out or her way to make our anniversary dinner extra special. This was our first time at the Eagle Tavern but definitely not our last.
We were a party of seven, each ordering something different, visiting for the first time. Everyone was pleased with their selection and vowed to return.
We came here for a small family reunion. We had the private dining room! It was so nice! Our waitress was excellent and the food was delicious!! Everybody enjoyed their meal!
11 Ladies who join together every 6 months. We love the Eagle Tavern as it's the perfect midway spot for everyone who travels. Food and service is always GREAT!
Having moved from area, when we decided to try Eagle Tavern with girlfriends, I was looking forward to the visit.
The wait staff was attentive. The food choices were varied. The prices were great.
My mushroom soup was extraordinary. Many slices of mushroom and the soup base was awesome. Shared a chicken wrap, which was tasty.
We had a pleasant opportunity to catch up with each other.
Hope to return again
Have eaten at Eagle Tavern on and off for over40 years. The meals have always been good.
Eagle Tavern never disappoints!!! The food, the service and the setting is always a pleasure and has been for many years!
Food was good. Service was very good.
Arnold Palmer needs work.
I wouldn't be shy about the historical nature of the place -- maybe change the overhanging lights in booth section and be more up front about its history? People like that, I think
We just love The Eagle Tavern and everyone I have taken there or recommended it to just loves it there! The service is exceptional, the ambiance is incredible. My favorite place to go for a nice lunch/dinner. Our server and the bartender was awesome and so is the manager.
Went for the special Oktoberfest menu and Hofbrauhaus beer. Was not disappointed. German themed food was terrific (Schnitzel platter and Bratwurst and Pork chop platter) and was prepared perfectly. Sat in bar area which is more casual and often times quieter, which was our experience again.
Excellent meal as always! The seasonal menu had a variety of tasty choices. Soup was awesome and we love the calamari. Get place for a great meal with reasonable prices options. Love it!
Food is consistently great, and service was fantastic.
$25 Twin lobster tail special is awesome!
Excellent dinner and service. Filet was tender and flavorful, one of the best I've had. Mussels were delicious and the serving was huge. Nice wine selections. Eagle Tavern is a favorite and never disappoints.
We enjoyed our dinner at Eagle Tavern. The food was very good...especially the homemade blueberry cobbler. The service was excellent. Pity It is so noisy, as otherwise, it is a really nice restaurant.
My husband and I recently went to the Tuesday "Clam Bake" based on an email The Eagle sent out. it was "spur of the moment" and we were so glad we went. It was very good and our waitress (Gay) was a gem!
Very enjoyable meal. My compliments to the chef. ...... the food was excellent, the service very enjoyable. Our waitress made some excellent suggestions.
Besides my husband and I dining at the Eagle Tavern after our theater matinee outings which we always look forward to and enjoy , my best friend and I have chosen it as our favorite eatery in which to meet. Our schedules are busy but we earnestly try to make time to see one another over lunch. The Tavern is our ideal place as we enjoy their varied menu. The wait staff are very accommodating as they always allow us to linger. We are never rushed to finish so other diners may take our place. The food never disappoints, plus we are encouraged to share dessert. We will be back....as soon as we are able to coordinate a time.
Both our food was not good.
Been to the Eagle Tavern before and did not have an enjoyable meal. We will not be coming to your restaurant again. Soups were not good and my steak was very fatty, vegetables were not cooked enough.
My wife said the over priced crab cakes were the worst she ever had... All cakes and little crabs...!
The food and service were excellent. Recommend checking out the specials. A little loud for casual conversation. We will go again.
Had dinner here several times a long time ago when it was more of a fine dining experience & atmosphere. Now it's fine dining prices with a bistro (people packed in there and loud) atmosphere. The food was very good. My husband had the filet and I had the charred salmon, although it was a bit salty. NOTE: the prices on their website menus are lower than what's on the menu when you get there...hmm. The filet was $6 more ($34 on menu vs $28 on their on line menu) as were the prices of many other entrees. It was our anniversary dinner, so we stayed, but I felt slightly scammed. The fine dining experience isn't there anymore which is unfortunate. I would recommend them to a friend, but with warnings about the prices, the noise, and the overall atmosphere.
First time here. Service was great. Food was delicious. Ample parking.
Will be back!!!!
Nice lunch menu selection. We had a great waiter and everyone enjoyed their choice from the menu.
Food was fantastic! Great Mother's Day experience. Highly recommend.
We were disappointed when we got there and they did not have their regular menu. There was a special menu for Mothers Day which did not include a few things we usually get when we dine at Eagle Tavern. They should advise on those occasions when they have a special menu.
We ate at the Eagle Tavern last year for our anniversary. So, we decided to do it again this year. We made the mistake of going on Mother's Day when they had a limited menu. I had the crab cakes that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I asked if I could substitute the fingerling potatoes for the mashed ones. The waitress said the kitchen didn't like to do that. Luckily, my husband loves mashed potatoes. Also the green beans, as far as I was concerned, weren't cooked enough. My husband's dinner was good. The crab cakes were very good. Those were excellent. The next time that we decide to eat there we will make sure that it is not a special day with a different menu.
I drove about an hour to get to the Eagle. As always it was worth the drive.
Excellent mothers day brunch. Good value. Get in early to avoid the line.
Five of us had lunch at the Eagle Tavern on May 5th. Most of the specials were Mexican cuisine. A friend had the Chicken Quesadiallas. She really liked them. My wife wanted a salad with broiled salmon on it and it wasn't on the menu. They were very happy to make it for her and it was delicious. Service was great also.
Visited on Monday evening with the in-laws visiting from Florida. We enjoyed our dinners and the service was excellent
We had an enjoyable evening at Eagle Tavern. The atmosphere was good, not too crowded or loud. The patrons were spread out nicely so everyone had their own sort of territory if you will. The food was excellent and the service was good too.
We were there for Easter dinner with family. Good selection, good service, very friendly and accommodating. Easy atmosphere, good for kids.
