Eagle Tavern Ratings and Reviews
Having moved from area, when we decided to try Eagle Tavern with girlfriends, I was looking forward to the visit.
The wait staff was attentive. The food choices were varied. The prices were great.
My mushroom soup was extraordinary. Many slices of mushroom and the soup base was awesome. Shared a chicken wrap, which was tasty.
We had a pleasant opportunity to catch up with each other.
Hope to return again
We just love The Eagle Tavern and everyone I have taken there or recommended it to just loves it there! The service is exceptional, the ambiance is incredible. My favorite place to go for a nice lunch/dinner. Our server and the bartender was awesome and so is the manager.
Went for the special Oktoberfest menu and Hofbrauhaus beer. Was not disappointed. German themed food was terrific (Schnitzel platter and Bratwurst and Pork chop platter) and was prepared perfectly. Sat in bar area which is more casual and often times quieter, which was our experience again.
Besides my husband and I dining at the Eagle Tavern after our theater matinee outings which we always look forward to and enjoy , my best friend and I have chosen it as our favorite eatery in which to meet. Our schedules are busy but we earnestly try to make time to see one another over lunch. The Tavern is our ideal place as we enjoy their varied menu. The wait staff are very accommodating as they always allow us to linger. We are never rushed to finish so other diners may take our place. The food never disappoints, plus we are encouraged to share dessert. We will be back....as soon as we are able to coordinate a time.
Had dinner here several times a long time ago when it was more of a fine dining experience & atmosphere. Now it's fine dining prices with a bistro (people packed in there and loud) atmosphere. The food was very good. My husband had the filet and I had the charred salmon, although it was a bit salty. NOTE: the prices on their website menus are lower than what's on the menu when you get there...hmm. The filet was $6 more ($34 on menu vs $28 on their on line menu) as were the prices of many other entrees. It was our anniversary dinner, so we stayed, but I felt slightly scammed. The fine dining experience isn't there anymore which is unfortunate. I would recommend them to a friend, but with warnings about the prices, the noise, and the overall atmosphere.
We were disappointed when we got there and they did not have their regular menu. There was a special menu for Mothers Day which did not include a few things we usually get when we dine at Eagle Tavern. They should advise on those occasions when they have a special menu.
We ate at the Eagle Tavern last year for our anniversary. So, we decided to do it again this year. We made the mistake of going on Mother's Day when they had a limited menu. I had the crab cakes that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I asked if I could substitute the fingerling potatoes for the mashed ones. The waitress said the kitchen didn't like to do that. Luckily, my husband loves mashed potatoes. Also the green beans, as far as I was concerned, weren't cooked enough. My husband's dinner was good. The crab cakes were very good. Those were excellent. The next time that we decide to eat there we will make sure that it is not a special day with a different menu.
Five of us had lunch at the Eagle Tavern on May 5th. Most of the specials were Mexican cuisine. A friend had the Chicken Quesadiallas. She really liked them. My wife wanted a salad with broiled salmon on it and it wasn't on the menu. They were very happy to make it for her and it was delicious. Service was great also.
