We started our meal with a multitude of small plates and cocktails, which were all delicious! The sushi was exceptional! When the entrees arrived, the chefs special, a 16 oz bone in skirt steak, was tough and difficult to chew. The waiter was quick to respond, took away the steak and told us it would be taken off of the check. We completed our meal and the bill came with the steak on it. The manager then proceeded to tell us, rather rudely, that because the steak had been partially eaten she would not remove it from our check, as the waiter had promised. She took 25% off of the steak instead. I have never seen this level of unprofessionalism from management of a restaurant before.
Really enjoyed the food and service. Went on a Sunday afternoon and no one was there. It was very nice and the service was spot on.
Wonderful server, loved the Brussels sprout/kale salad, our entrees were simple but delicious, nice wine and cocktail selection. Dessert (red velvet lava cake) was okay but not rave-worthy.
My husband and I shared several appetizers (snacks), small plates, one entree, and two desserts. Everything was delicious! All components of each dish were made in house. My favorite snack was the corn addiction. The carrot cake was light, yet moist and buttery. The fried chicken is also excellent.
Excellent meal, crispy kale and shrimp salad always solid. Nancy was a very good host as she made sure all our food was delivered promptly and drinks were always refilled; very attentive and made the dining experience that much better. Had deviled eggs and fried potato app. Had crispy pata and pork belly adobo - all were very good. Ended with the mango pudding. It was light and palet cleansing. I did have a gin based cocktail that was very good too! We look forward to going back!
Been here many times and must say every time good food and service. This time the service was really bad. Waitress tried to rush us at every option. Ordered appetizer and it took ages to come out when it did it was ok but not as tasty as usual. Then our waitress brings the entrees out as we were not even two, three bites into the appetizer. She asks if its ok and we said no it was not. She took back to somewhere until we were almost done then brings back. The food was lukewarm and overcooked, I had ordered the gaucho ribeye. At this point I did not feel like I wanted to complain even though we were extremely upset with the whole experience.
Great food and great service. Basil shrimp was excellent.
Second time trying it & the food was tasty, service was way better than last time
Overall the food did not have much flavor. I would only go back for the happy hour drinks, and maybe appetizers.
Enjoyed a wonderful meal at one of our favorite places and enjoyed their 25% off Easter special. Waiter was super attentive...what we have come to expect from this great restaurant!
Food was very good. Server was nice but pretty forgetful
Stopped in for dinner after a coworker recommendation. Food was tremendous. Service even better. Highly recommend their small plates. Bone marrow tacos and brussel sprouts amazed. Hangar steak with kimchi fried rice really good. Most tender bites of that cut I’ve ever had.
The manager there (skinny guy with thick beard) was so rude. He gave my wife attitude on her birthday because she said her steak was burnt (she ordered it well done not burnt to a cris). He asked us to leave after I stood up for her. Never going back. Waitress was super kind but the manager is a piece of work who needs to find a different job.
Also, the fried chicken is horrendously bad.
Awesome happy hour selections
Everything went smoothly!
Delightful eclectic fare. Looking forward to next time
The corn snack was fabulous. The crab and avocado was under seasoned, the Caesar salad was delicious. The California role was mediocre.
Overpriced and overrated
Birthday dinner, it was a little too loud.
One of us ordered burger and received it 10 minutes before the rest of the party.
My other friends and I ordered Crispy brussels sprouts and kale which is a hot plate but was a room temperature. Complain to a server and got assured that it should be room temperature not hot...little confused because it is listed under Small Plates Hot on your menu.
The decor of this restaurant is modern, new and very nice. The service was OK.
I will come back to try something else. It is a little nice neighborhood restaurant.
Kale salad was delicious
Very good food! Bone marrow tacos!!
Very good service from beginning to end. Waiter did nice job of describing the menu items, being attentive to needs and advising when food was about ready.
Diverse selection of unusual small plates - encouraged by waiter to share. Brussels sprouts salad very good and plentiful.
The salmon was a bit over cooked. Prawns well prepared, tasty. Apple bread pudding dessert tasty but too heavy on the bread - more apple needed.
E&O does not disappoint. Some tips for the beginners:
1. Use open table or call the restaurant directly to book a reservation
2. Use valet - they are kind, professional and quick
3. If you have only two in your party you may be able to be seated at the bar directly (ask)
4. Book the back room for private parties or for more public gatherings consider a hightop by the bar - it's a great scene and at times there is live music.
5. Ask the waitstaff for recommendations and consider ordering several the following are stellar: Corn bites (order two), brussel sprouts and kale salad, It's Like That (sushi), Yes Please (sushi), Oysters on the half shell (if you like oysters these are fresh and well prepared)
6. Save room for dessert (molten red velvet and the carrot pineapple cake are our favorites
7. In the summer they have outdoor fire pits and the bar extends - make use of this. It's great for a night out.
8. One of the owners or higher managerial staff are always present - get to know your hosts... this caliber of restaurant doesn' t just happen and when happened upon needs our support.
9. Go to the bathroom (sounds weird but go - it's beautiful and I think I might install that flooring in our home)
10. Enjoy and return.
Small plates, appetizers and desserts were very good. Loved the Bloody Mary . Most of the entrees were very good, but the hamburger was only fair. Good attentive and informed wait staff.
2nd time dining here. Like it and close to the theater. Would come back. Maybe a little light on my drink.
My party has been there a few times & this time. The food was tasteless. Salmon - 2 mahi Mahi , risotto & shrimp had no taste- shrimp was not fully cook & mahi mahi was not seared properly.
Did the owner change ?
It was disappointing & this birthday was planned out 2 months ago.
Swank vibe, food was much better than average, will return
We have been here before. Food is good, wine list is very good. They need better service in the bar area. Waitresses and bartenders are unresponsive.
Do like going here for Happy Hour.
Great food and service. Food was amazing. The drink menu had lots of options.
Have been here a few times and really do like it. However, I feel like it's waaaaay overpriced for what you get. Yes, the food is decent. Especially like their brussel sprout kale salad. For $14 it is delicious, huge and definitely satisfying. A healthy choice and one of the better options in terms of getting more for the $. I've had a few of the smaller dishes and when they say "small"..they definitely mean SMALL! And they aren't cheap. The atmosphere is pretty good. I don't like the way they sit you right next to other people in a long continuous line. I hate when restaurants set their space up like this. It's awkward and you can't help but overhear each other's conversations. I usually try to get a stand alone table, but often times they are busy and don't have any available as I am sure those are the first ones to go. Overall, it's a cute place. They should try to get some more sweeter wines on their as the one that our server recommended that was said to be their sweetest, was a reisling that was nowhere near sweet enough for my liking. Anyway, I would definitely go back for the brussel sprout kale salad! It's a nice place to go before the theatre but will likely try other options in the area next time that are less pricey.
Main dining room menu full price but to sit in bar for Happy hour half price menu ....never offered to sit in bar area for "Happy Hour". We asked & then we were re-seated.
Great restaurant, food is amazing. It's my go to restaurant for when company comes, very fresh ingredients
Love the interior, delicious food, very good drinks.
We were seated in the back section of the restaurant and service was a bit slow and disconnected. Requested sparkling water multiple times before we finally got it. Food choices and quality was good and price was reasonable.
Our reservation was available when we arrived, in fact, there was only 1 other couple there at 5 PM on a Saturday evening. A few more people came in while we were there. Food is creative, new age, and somewhat weird. The large and varied menu requires a lot of studying. There is something for everyone if you have the patience to find it. Service was very good, in fact, my friend told the waitress to not come back to check on us so frequently. The food was good except for the smoked pea hummous. Just too odd for me but the fried cauliflower served with it was very good. The skirt steak was delicious but the fried rice was oily. My friend enjoyed the clam chowder, raw oysters, and earth salad. We were there before and it was also quiet and not busy. We like it that way. It's a good place to go for a food adventure but not for the picky eater.
Our dining experience was only fair at best. The seating next to the window was drafty and chilly. Our server worked hard but the room was understaffed so she was running between many tables. The food doesn't live up to the menu descriptions in quality or flavor. It looks fancy, but it's just ordinary, nothing special.
Trendy scene, great food, and fantastic service! I've been hearing about E+O for awhile now but it's far from where I live. It was definitely worth the drive and I can't wait to return so I can try out more of the menu, everything sounded and looked amazing.
My husband and I had 6:30 pm reservations. While our food took a while to get to us (understandable due to it being Valentines Day and busy) our waitress Mary was friendly, prompt, showed exceptional service and the food (dinner and dessert) was absolutely delicious. Thank you to the chefs, our waitress Mary and everyone else who worked tonight.
Great evening dining with friends!
This used to be a fun, cool place to go for drinks and food. It's lost some of what it used to have. The good bartender is gone; the current ones make the same drinks but not as well balanced. The service was off (our server introduced himself as kane, like a candy cane but with a k - weird - he struggled with drinks, wine, and ordering sushi and main dishes. The food was decent but it lacked the luster it once had. Hope it comes back around.
