Very good food
First time for brunch and it did not disappoint. Always good service, atmosphere, and of course a quality meal.
My friends and I wanted to try somewhere new and we are glad we did. The food was fantastic!
Excellent/efficient/ polite/ non pretentious service and food! Attention and a listening spirit paid to special requests. The only reason I gave a low score for ambiance was because I unfortunately was seated by the door, with the host stand directly in front of me, and a chill and commotion every time the door opened; the table and seating itself was extremely comfortable. The restaurant’s ambiance is actually quite lovely, as you move in deeper beyond the front door, with dim lighting all around. The food is TRULY the star of the show, served fresh, simply, and beautifully prepared and presented! The head chef is (deservedly) proud to walk around, keeping a watchful eye (even if just a glance) on his guest’s satisfaction.
Absolutely Amazing, already made reservations for next week.
Great food. Chairs are so uncomfortable on patio.
We had visited Dyron’s several weeks ago based on the excellent reviews. My daughter and I had a rare night out and I suggested we go for dinner based on my earlier positive experience. We made reservations and were sitted promptly. We ordered drinks and I ordered the Gin and tonic drink but did not specify type of gin. The server noticed I was not thrilled w/ my drink and quickly replaced. I have to note that it was completely my fault and did not specify so he went above and beyond to notice and replace the drink even though I said nothing negative! On to the food as I was torn over several menu choices, he suggested the rib eye as they were specially chosen by the chef. This rib eye was cooked perfectly medium rare but was tough and had very little flavor-I was disappointed in my choice. My daughter had the burger and it was delicious. We had a wonderful mother-daughter night but I regretted my choice of the rib eye as I usually choose fish!
Best brunch in Birmingham! Blueberry muffins are such a treat. West Indies salad was top notch. My fellow diners had a blue crab omelet and a steak and egg dish. Everything was fresh and a delight to the taste buds. Enjoy!
Amazing food as always! The scallops were perfect and who wouldn’t love the beignets! Fantastic!
Delicious!!!From appetizer to dessert Dyron’s does it right. Dyron and Sonya Powell are wonderful hosts. Location is wonderful also!! Love it!
Fantastic new cocktails, and the service & seafood is always phenomenal!
Food is always good at Dyrons. Service is excellent. Only downside...way too noisy!
Always one of my fav restaurants!!
Terrific variety of food and deliciously prepared. Everything tasted fresh.
Great dinner for my daughter’s birthday! Our waiter was excellent and the food was delicious.
I had quail on spinach with grilled red onions. It was honestly one of the best meals ever! Highly recommend this dish, but Dyron's is consistently excellent in all aspects. Quite a neighborhood gem!
Always a good experience at Dyrons. Just a neighborhood favorite place to go for good food with family!
Excellent service. Snapper and scallops were fantastic as well as the ribeye and baked oysters!! Never had a bad meal at Dyrons!!
Food was ok, although the quail appetizer was tough and my rabbit entree was, in my opinion almost flavorless. I was promised a quiet, private table--it was in a back corner, so I guess it might usually be a quiet table...but we spent the night dodging the rear ends of the throng of people waiting at the bar for tables. For the price, I would say our experience was pretty poor.
We had out of town guests. They liked the fried chicken and one had the rabbit, trying something new. It was very good.
Would like to see more vegetarian options.
Overall, Nice experience with some items being very good.
We sat at the bar, had an amazing meal! Service was great & ambiance is perfect.
We always enjoy Dyrons. The Grouper and Snapper seemed especially good. Noise level was better than usual even though we were seated near the bar. All in all, a very pleasant evening with old friends.
Clearly one of the outstanding restaurants in the Bham area. Everything was just excellent. I could go on.
Great experience. Our server (Alex) was attentive and efficient. Entrees and salads were great. Stone crab appetizer (cold) was tasteless and nondescript.. The remainder of the dinner was superb. I look forward to my next meal there
We made a reservation for 8:15 and arrived to have a drink at bar around 7:30. They offered us a table in the enclosed patio around 8 and we accepted, but they did not take us off the reservation list. I received 2 calls to confirm we were still dining! I said we we seated on the patio! We did not receive a designated server but was seen to promptly as there were several large parties on the patio. I got the tenderloin and my husband had the triggerfish both were perfectly prepared and the accompanying food paired wonderfully with each dish. We loved the size and bar area too! We will return soon!
Was very busy service stressed main cours got cold had to go get knife and fork
This quaint neighborhood restaurant one of our favorites, whether we're with family, friends or business associates and can always be counted on for a great meal and great service. For a "date night" one of our favorite things to do is to walk in and sit at the bar and have a glass of wine and dinner. But, fair warning, it fills up fast. If you have more than two in your party, you're going to want a reservation. Service is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Great ambiance when dining inside. Outdoor dining is a little more casual. Outdoor space is actually an enclosed porch with some climate control, so it's used year-round in all weather conditions. They open the windows when the weather allows, which gives an outdoor feel but I wouldn't classify it as true al fresco dining. There is a fireplace that's used on the porch during colder months which provides nice ambiance. The chef will help create or alter a meal for those with special dietary restrictions. Their gumbo is some of the best I've had anywhere. Can't go wrong with Dyron's!
Food and service was excellent! (thank you John!) Will return. Best West Indies salad I have ever had!
The fried chicken is incredible!! The atmosphere is both classy and lively.
Had a wonderful brunch with friends. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Will be back!
Another great visit.
What we especially noticed this time around is that the beignets were even better than usual. They seem to have backed off a bit on the powdered sugar -- don't worry, there's still plenty of it! -- and to have mixed it with something else, perhaps cinnamon? Regardless, they were fabulous.
As always the meal was spectacular! We each ordered different entrees including steak, seafood, venison, and rabbit and shared a bite with each other. Every single dish was awesome!
It was great. The food was delicious!! I hadn’t been in years and I remembered why I liked it so much to start!
Another great meal at Dyron’s. Snapper and grits were perfect. Pork Shank was falling off the bone and packed with flavor.
Probably one of my favorite restaurants. Great coastal flavor that is constantly changing. Prices are higher but always worth it.
Great place for dinner. Good atmosphere and service. The tenderloin and snapper was great. We had the bread pudding and was good but not our favorite.
Our family of five stayed over the night in Birmingham and had an excellent New Years Eve meal at Dryon’s.
We went for NYE and had a wonderful meal. The food, drinks and dessert was heavenly! Our waiter was great and very attentive. When I had a question about the menu—the chef came to our table and spoke with us. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Dined on New Years Eve 2017. Food was very good! Crab claws and gum.bo were excellent choices for appetizers. I had tuna and my wife had the snapper for our entrees. They were both prepared to our satisfaction. My only complaint was that we felt rushed. It was subtle, not like at Red Lobster, where salad, appetizer and entree all seem to appear at once. There was no time to savor our wine and appetizer, as soon as our appetizer plates were cleared, entree was on the table! Perhaps it was because of the date (12/31), but I don't want to spend $150+ for 2 meals and feel that I need to vacate the table for another customer.
