Dyrons Low country
Joined by Executive Chef, Randall Baldwin, they opened Dyron’s Lowcountry Restaurant in Mountain Brook to share their love for the culinary offerings of the region. It’s a place for those who have been to revisit their memories and refresh their pallets and a place for those who have never been to get an authentic taste of the unique foods.
We had the seared snapper, grits and crawfish with the white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. Fabulous! We ate out on the porch which was quieter than the inside.
Unfortunate for everyone that night there was a flash fire in kitchen. We had started and received our appetizers and wine before the restaurant had to close. The management took care of the bill. What i didnt like was i was seated in the far corner of the restaurant and requested the empty 2 top next to mine so i could eat and watch a sporting event that was on tv. My request was denied. I was told it had been requested by someone. I arrived at 7.15 and left at 8.15 and no one was seated there.
Service was excellent. We all loved our meal. Will be back!

We had an excellent server. He did a nice job of attending to us and providing great descriptions of the menu. We each had an excellent meal and a nice time at Dyron's. I would recommend to anyone.
We have been to Dyron's a few times and it's always been great. My cocktail was perfectly made but both me and my husband's meals were not good . We both ordered the steelhead trout with lump crab meat, beurre blanc, antique grits and green beans. The grits were completely unseasoned, the fish had WAY too much pepper, so much so that you couldn't taste the fish, and the sauce was so full of vinegar I had to scrape it off. We will definitely give them another try since everything has been good there in the past, but this was extremely dissapointing.

Enjoyed Sunday brunch at Dyrons. The menu offered so many great choices that my family had a hard time deciding which entree to choose. The service was excellent...our food came out quickly. The biscuits and blackberry jam that was brought to our table first were both delicious and served as a brunch “ appetizer”. We always have a delicious meal at Dyrons.
Best Creole food in greater Birmingham. I have never been let down by it's food and ambiance.

Would have liked a booth, but the server said you had to call rather than make reservations online. Not a problem - just wish I had known. Great place!!!!

Dinner was delicious.Two guests had the famous Fried Chicken and loved it. I always have the baked oysters they never disappoint!
We asked host to be seated at the quietest table in the restaurant; was seated next to the bar. During our meal, a party of five or six people gathered at the bar with half of them standing against our table. The noise and invasion of our space eliminated any enjoyment we had anticipated for dinner. The food was good; the experience was very unacceptable.
We were seated outside in the patio type area that had been winterized...less ambience than the inside plus I was chilly as it was a colder evening. Guess I would have dressed differently had I known. There was a nice outdoor fireplace,but we weren’t near it.

My husband and I love Dyron’s! In our opinion it’s the only restaurant that is on par with Frank Stitt’s restaurants. Quality, fresh creative dishes. Never disappointed. This is our go-to anniversary or special occasion spot. We love that it’s slightly more casual and not stuffy. The wait staff is outstanding and so friendly. We LOVED having Tommy as our waiter this last time!
Enjoyed the local and unique menu items. We wanted something that was quintessentially Birmingham and we were not disappointed.
The food was delicious. The service was great. Outstanding baked oysters and raw oysters. The steak was outstanding too! We always enjoy going to Dyron’s.

Everything was good. The bread pudding and Madeira flight was amazing! Tommy did a nice job taking care of us. I loved the sweet potato purée on the tenderloin dish. It made the dish!

All around fantastic experience. Every dish at our table was perfect. I ordered the Osso Bucco, and highly recommend it. Perfect lighting, and great wine selection.
We visit the area during football season and always make this one of our stops. Everything always very fresh and tasty. Service has always been impeccable!

We always enjoy Sunday brunch at Dyron’s. This was a family occasion, with children and grandchildren plus oldsters, so lots of different choices were made, and everybody loved the food. The prices are too high though.
My wedge salad had thousand island dressing of sorts...it wasn't as good as the blue cheese of the past. There was very little bacon on it and my lettuce was swimming in dressing. My burger was overcooked. Not as tasty as it could have been.
Wow! Loved my meal! Our server was great - so friendly and interested in talking about Birmingham (we were visiting from our of town). Loved it! Probably my best meal in Birmingham.
We probably end up having Sunday lunch/brunch here once every three or four weeks, and as usual we thoroughly enjoyed our visit this Sunday. The teamwork by the employees is impressive; I eventually lost count of the number of servers who stopped by our table to offer a water refill, etc. And, our meals were fabulous.
