Dyron Powell and his wife Sonya love to travel. Over ten years ago, they were fortunate enough to happen upon the lowcountry of South Carolina and Georgia. There they found relaxed lifestyles combined with one-of-a-kind culinary tastes. In their opinion, it is the greatest place on earth to slow down and enjoy great food and great friends.

Joined by Executive Chef, Randall Baldwin, they opened Dyron’s Lowcountry Restaurant in Mountain Brook to share their love for the culinary offerings of the region. It’s a place for those who have been to revisit their memories and refresh their pallets and a place for those who have never been to get an authentic taste of the unique foods.

Excellent service. Snapper and scallops were fantastic as well as the ribeye and baked oysters!! Never had a bad meal at Dyrons!!

We had out of town guests. They liked the fried chicken and one had the rabbit, trying something new. It was very good.
Would like to see more vegetarian options.
Overall, Nice experience with some items being very good.

We always enjoy Dyrons. The Grouper and Snapper seemed especially good. Noise level was better than usual even though we were seated near the bar. All in all, a very pleasant evening with old friends.

Great experience. Our server (Alex) was attentive and efficient. Entrees and salads were great. Stone crab appetizer (cold) was tasteless and nondescript.. The remainder of the dinner was superb. I look forward to my next meal there

We made a reservation for 8:15 and arrived to have a drink at bar around 7:30. They offered us a table in the enclosed patio around 8 and we accepted, but they did not take us off the reservation list. I received 2 calls to confirm we were still dining! I said we we seated on the patio! We did not receive a designated server but was seen to promptly as there were several large parties on the patio. I got the tenderloin and my husband had the triggerfish both were perfectly prepared and the accompanying food paired wonderfully with each dish. We loved the size and bar area too! We will return soon!

This quaint neighborhood restaurant one of our favorites, whether we're with family, friends or business associates and can always be counted on for a great meal and great service. For a "date night" one of our favorite things to do is to walk in and sit at the bar and have a glass of wine and dinner. But, fair warning, it fills up fast. If you have more than two in your party, you're going to want a reservation. Service is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Great ambiance when dining inside. Outdoor dining is a little more casual. Outdoor space is actually an enclosed porch with some climate control, so it's used year-round in all weather conditions. They open the windows when the weather allows, which gives an outdoor feel but I wouldn't classify it as true al fresco dining. There is a fireplace that's used on the porch during colder months which provides nice ambiance. The chef will help create or alter a meal for those with special dietary restrictions. Their gumbo is some of the best I've had anywhere. Can't go wrong with Dyron's!
