Dyron Powell and his wife Sonya love to travel. Over ten years ago, they were fortunate enough to happen upon the lowcountry of South Carolina and Georgia. There they found relaxed lifestyles combined with one-of-a-kind culinary tastes. In their opinion, it is the greatest place on earth to slow down and enjoy great food and great friends.

Joined by Executive Chef, Randall Baldwin, they opened Dyron’s Lowcountry Restaurant in Mountain Brook to share their love for the culinary offerings of the region. It’s a place for those who have been to revisit their memories and refresh their pallets and a place for those who have never been to get an authentic taste of the unique foods.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants. Great coastal flavor that is constantly changing. Prices are higher but always worth it.

Great place for dinner. Good atmosphere and service. The tenderloin and snapper was great. We had the bread pudding and was good but not our favorite.

Our family of five stayed over the night in Birmingham and had an excellent New Years Eve meal at Dryon’s.

We went for NYE and had a wonderful meal. The food, drinks and dessert was heavenly! Our waiter was great and very attentive. When I had a question about the menu—the chef came to our table and spoke with us. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Dined on New Years Eve 2017. Food was very good! Crab claws and gum.bo were excellent choices for appetizers. I had tuna and my wife had the snapper for our entrees. They were both prepared to our satisfaction. My only complaint was that we felt rushed. It was subtle, not like at Red Lobster, where salad, appetizer and entree all seem to appear at once. There was no time to savor our wine and appetizer, as soon as our appetizer plates were cleared, entree was on the table! Perhaps it was because of the date (12/31), but I don't want to spend $150+ for 2 meals and feel that I need to vacate the table for another customer.

Server great, food delicious but fish portion way too small for the price.

dyrons was especially good, the food was great. This is a Village gem, and I hope it retains it's great low country basics as it grows in popularity
