Dusty Boot - Greenwood Village Ratings and Reviews
I had the salmon "boot" cobb salad and it was wonderful. A FULL serving of salmon on top of an unusual mix of ingredients including dried apricots. It was a wonderful salad - one of the best I have ever had. The steak sandwich also got great reviews from my daughter. It was a great meal for a reasonable price - we will be back soon!
Came in on a Sunday afternoon to watch the Broncos. Had several TVs set to watch all the various games and many on Denver. The volume, service and atmosphere were perfect for this. The food was good too. Really liked the burgers, loaded potatoes and beef red chili.
Some friends met us there for my birthday. Our friends were there first and they did have a booth. I booked a table with a booth so everything was good. I did mention to our waiter that we made reservations and to be sure they knew we were there. The waiter was great. When he ask us if we wanted desert, he should have know it was my birthday because when I made the reservation I said it was my birthday. Anyway don't matter. The place has great food.
Only let down it was getting to loud for us so we had to leave.
Restaurant was a little loud, but the service was fantastic, the food was good and they were able to accommodate our 12 person birthday party without a problem. I appreciated that they let us bring our own cake and decorations to put at the table, and made us feel right at home. Have already recommended this restaurant to a couple of friends!
My friends & I have been to the Dusty Boot several times in the past. Last night was really bad. The service was really bad, but I don't blame our server as she is a bartender and the management yanked her out from behind the bar to serve, something she had never done. She did the best she could. The food was marginal...the prime rib my husband & I had was skimpy and under cooked. I sent mine back, as I had asked for Medium and it was rare. When I got it back, it was still rare, hut I was done complaining. Unfortunately, a waste of money and we will not be back.
Was pleasantly surprised with the great Brunch menu. So many different items to choose from. I ordered the Hangover Special and every thing on the plate was wonderful, the sweet carmelized onions mixed with the cheese and jalapeno's on the eggs was such a great combination. And the biscuits were the flakiest of just about the best I've ever had. It was a very comfortable atmosphere except for the screaming kid in the next room. But that's the parents fault. Everything tasted as it was made from scratch, which they claim it is. The breakfast meats were very good too. Our wait person was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations.
In Denver on business, found it on Open Table and gave it a try. Located in a strip mall, it looks unassuming from the outside, but has a nice patio area for outdoor dining in addition to sports bar atmosphere inside. Delicious steak, perfectly cooked, and beautiful onion rings. Ordered the house margarita but had to send it back -- they replaced it and it was OK ... but I'd stick to the regular margarita next time.
When we first arrived and saw that it was in the downstairs level of a strip-mall, I was unsure that this would be as good as I hoped. When we walked in, I knew I had made good choice. The menu had a lot of great options and our waiter was excellent, efficient and helpful. We tried the garlic knots which were excellent. Our 10 year-old easily found something he liked on the menu. I had the prime rib and my husband had the sirloin. Everything from the bread, to salads to main course was delicious and cooked as requested. We ate early (5pm) on a Saturday night, but the restaurant was fairly busy, but not super noisy. Next time we hope to sit out on the patio with the firepit. I would definitely recommend the Dusty Boot.
Went on Monday nights 2 for 1 steak special and the steaks were good. I had the sirloin and my son the prime rib. From there it was all down hill. The sweet potato fries I had were waffle cut over done and frankly looked like they came right out of the frozen grocery store bag. The vegetables were also probably canned or frozen certainly not fresh. My son said his Caesar salad was right from the bag dressing and all. I give it 2 stars only for the steaks and because at 2 for 1 the price wasn't bad.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Dusty Boot. We were looking for a good steakhouse and found a great one. The food was outstanding. The steaks were excellent and even the veggies were delicious. That seems to be unusual for some steakhouses. We spent a reasonable amount of money and received more than enough food. Our waiter was efficient and informative. Our meal was properly paced, each course served without being either rushed or extended too much. It was nice to have really well prepared steak that was cut properly. And our waiter made sure it was done to our liking before leaving the table. We will definitely return to this little neighborhood gem.
Never had the server service me at all and poor customer service. I sat at a table on restaurant week for twenty minutes without being asked for drinks and the server and host walked by and looked at my table several times so my girlfriend and I finally just walked out without being greeted once.
This was my 1st time eating at this restuarant, my friend and I went for the 5280 dinner. It was comparable to Texas Roadhouse, Lone Star Steakhouse, ect. While the food was great, steak was cooked to perfection, the sliders were super yummy, and the funnel cake fries were delicious. The only downfall I had was our service, the waitress seemed annoyed any time we asked for anything extra.
I would come here again.
This was our seconed visit to Dusty Boot. Like our first visit the food & service was top notch. My husbands oysters rokefeller was "to die for". Both of our steaks were perfectly cooked, as were the baked potatoes. The bread & salads YUMMY!! The bread pudding desert for two was most excelent. We are looking forard to our next visit !
We went for our anniversary. We always look for a place we haven't tried before. The service was excellent. Our steaks were perfectly prepared. We had the lettuce wraps which were excellent. Fortunately we had made reservations because by 6:00 the restaurant was packed. We will definitely be back.
Just a let down of a restaurant experience, especially considering the location. Sylvester (I think that's his name) was our waiter, and while he was a very nice and courteous man, it's apparent that the owner doesn't care about the experience level of their waitstaff... which ultimately translates as the owner not really caring about what the user experience is like. Well, ya lost a customer. The food was mediocre, but not bad, and I felt really jammed into the dining room. Tables so close my wife actually get out of her chair to let someone by.
The only really positive thing about this place is that it seems like it would be a great place to go on Sundays to watch a game while drinking a Bloody Mary.
We made a reservation here for New Year's Eve for our group of 10. When we arrived, the two hosts appeared very stressed, and did not smile and say hello to welcome us to the restaurant. So, immediately we felt like they weren't thrilled about our business. They said they would sit us "as soon as possible". When I asked if it would be close to our reservation time they said "maybe" and scurried away.
We waited at the bar for 15 minutes for the bartender to notice us, and then another 5 minutes before he could break away from "the regulars" to get us a drink. Not impressed; wondering why there was one bartender for a full restaurant.
The food was typical bar food. We will not return to try the higher priced steaks, etc. Not recommended.
We were looking for dinner without a wait and had waited til after 6 pm on a Friday to look. Mistake, right? Looked up Dusty Boot on Open Table and the Greenwood Village restaurant had a table open for 2 at 7 pm. The place was packed but their wasn't a wait. Interesting! Makes me think that this place is out of the way for random diners but the locals dine here all the time. The food came out exactly as we ordered and the Stela beer was on tap! My wife raved about the 'smooth' Moscato. We will visit again!.
The food was just okay in taste, plain in presentation and reasonable for the price. The Bottomless Mimosa was only bottomless if you went to the bar to ask for refills since the server was AWOL from the dining room most the time. Atmosphere was great for an empty sports bar on a Sunday morning. Service is a big issue at the Holly St location. One server, max five tables occupied during our lengthy visit, and bussing was not done when we finished and beverages were not refilled. Kids eat free off the kids menu which is limited.
Save your money and time and go to one of the other locations for this restaurant. I had great food and great service at the E Arapahoe Rd location the week before. It was worth the additional drive.
Made a reservation for 9am and the waiter there told us they didn't open until 9:30. We weren't the only people there at 9am either so I'm pretty sure we weren't crazy. The waiter had no idea what was on the menu either and had awful customer service skills. I'm guessing he was either brand new or they had just pulled someone off the street because no one else showed up to work that morning. The food I ordered was a complete waste of money. $9 for a 1/4 cup of fruit and yogurt--it was advertised as cottage cheese, even though that wouldn't have given it better value anyway. I should have just walked over to King Soopers with that money and bought 9-13 pounds of fruit there.
The Dusty Boot was an inviting restaurant that smelled delicious just walking up to the door. We got a table that happened to be surrounded by three tvs and the radio speaker was blaring right above us. It was hard to carry on a conversation without leaning in to each other. We ordered a medium-rare steak without the sauce and a large house salad without onions to share. The salad came out with onions on it, the steak was rare and had the sauce on it. The waiter was very good and took care of us, brought refills quickly and tended to our needs. However, the steak was just a steak and not really worth $26 in my opinion. However, their green chile and their bread were fantastic!
