I was at Durants' with friends to celebrate my birthday. We had been planning this day for months, drove from Florence and had the time of our lives. Everyone from the hostess, to the server, to the assistants were just superb. And the food was to die for! It is a day not one of us is going to forget for a very long time. Plan to make it a regular place on our dining agenda. Thank you to everyone, especially Olga, our personal server. She helped to make everything special.
Overall everything was outstanding ! This was the best steak dinner I have had so far in the Phoenix Metro. It is on the pricey side but I feel the quality matched the value . Will be back!
We wanted a special dinner for our 30th anniversary and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent as was the food. Durants doesn't disappoint. Thanks Ron for the great service!
Service as always was excellent. Food was excellent and of course the appetizer and cocktails were superior.
Durant's is our 'go to' restaurant for special occasions. If we could give more stars we would. The service is always timely without being intrusive, the food is incredible and the atmosphere intimate. We were celebrating our anniversary and they served us key lime pie and raspberry sorbet on the house. I have but one problem with Durant's: they are traditionally a steak house and yes, they do serve marvelous steaks, but I keep ordering their fried shrimp because they are to die for! It's a great 'problem' to have.
Good food, but tables much too close together to be comfortable. Probably not go back.
The food was excellent! The dated exterior and interior did not ruin the experience. Walking through the kitchen felt inappropriate. It was a very welcoming group of employees. That made the dinner special.
GREAT FOOD, GREAT WAITSTAFF, A DEFINITE MUST GO PLACE IN PHOENIX. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR DATES, ANNIVERSARIES, BUSINESS DINNERS, ETC. THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THE NOISE, BUT THE FOOD MAKES UP FOR IT.
Best steakhouse in AZ hands down! The environment, food, and service is second to none.
Fish was overdone and dry. Service was hit and miss.
Never disappointed at Durant’s!!
Best ribeye ever! Cooked to perfection and lots left for leftovers.
Tito’s martini was made just right.
Sautéed spinach excellent.
This was our second visit, my wife and I first dined at Durant’s 4 years ago and we decided to re visit with friends while in the Phoenix area. Fun place, good food.
My husband and I come to Durant's a few times a year for a nice date night. This year we opted to give it a try on Valentine's Day, thinking they will be slammed but the service should still be impeccable, because it's Durant's. We had earlier reservations and were seated promptly. Most times we have been there has not been a wait for a table unless we are really early for our reservations. Service on this night was less than stellar from one employee, our server, but everyone else made sure to pick up their slack to ensure we ended on a high note. Our busser should be a server and the manager was fantastic in turning around a quickly declining night! All in all, still a great night out, and we'll just remember to go back to our random nights of the week to really get that special Durant's touch!
Durant's provided exactly what they are known for. My girlfriend and I were there for Valentine's day. It was very busy but expected. We arrived early and grabbed a couple bar stools when they opened up, had a great straight up dirty martini and she had a glass of Cab. They poured her a couple tasters until she found the right Cab for her taste. Res was for 845, we were sat by 9 but it was very evident that the staff was working hard to get people seated asap so we were not phased. Dinner started with a great bottle of wine our server recommended, the crab cakes, soup and salad, then my prime rib cooked to a perfect med rare, and her grilled scallops in herb cream sauce (to die for!). Yes, place was crowded and busy but in our giant booth for two, we were just fine and unaffected by any excess noise. All in all great experience, and yes, bring your wallet. If you are looking for a quick cheap steak, I think there is an Applebees nearby
