We had a fabulous birthday dinner at Duling Kurtz! We are longtime residents of Chesco and have dined at most high end establishments in the area. Our experience was spectacular — from the friendly service to the scrumptious food! We started the meal with a freshly baked crusty and chewy popover with honey. It was only a hint of great things to come! We started with appetizers including lobster bisque, apple spinach salad and baked brie with strawberry sauce and almonds. The bisque was flavorful and light enough not to kill your appetite. The spinach green apple salad had a light creamy dressing with just a hint of Gorgonzola and lovely walnuts for crunch. The Brie baked in puff pastry with strawberry sauce and slivered almonds was the BEST! Creamy, warm and beautifully complemented with a strawberry sauce — not too sweet but just enough to enhance the buttery Brie. For dinner, my husband and I both had the wiener schnitzel with lingonberry sauce and spaetzel. The meal was hearty and delicious. The schnitzel was lightly coated and tender with an amazing accompanying gravy. My daughter had the lobster and crab crepes with Brie lobster sauce — it’s easy to understand why they are the “house specialty”! They were SO good…we all shared, tried everything. Our palates and appetites were completely satisfied! We were so full, we ordered dessert to-go. Our sweet server was amazing…she even accommodated our request to take pictures! Overall, it was a fabulous dining experience. Duling Kurtz is our new special occasion dinner location!

Comfortable window seating as we celebrated my husband's birthday. Had received a coupon for a free dessert, but they forgot to take it off the bill. Patti was cheerful and kept our water full.

Dined there for our Anniversary with intentions to also book our company Christmas Party. It was 6:00 PM on a Friday and only the small bar area was crowded. My wife ordered a bottle of Burgundy Wine from their list. Server came back 10 minutes later to let us know that they were out of that wine with no offered substitutes. When it came time to order, the server let us know that they were out of the Short Ribs, which my wife was going to order (strike 2). Instead, she ordered Escargot, Lobster Bisque and we shared Oysters Rockefeller. Escargot and Oysters were very good but the Bisque was closer to Tomato Soup which overpowered the Lobster (strike 3). I had the Shrimp Cocktail and Filet Mignon and enjoyed both along with several Popover Rolls. The owner was visible to our table but did not check to see if we were enjoying our meals. Guess she knew the answer... Heard the server wait on a table behind us, letting them know that they were also out of Escargot. Guess they only had 1 serving... The bill came to $254. and we still tipped our server well, as she was the only bright spot during the evening. Needless to say, we will not book our Christmas Party at Duling Kurtz and doubt they will even be open that long.

only reason I gave this 4 stars as we were put upstairs and the room was small and was full so noise level was not the best.

We went to Duling Kurtz for Father's Day because it is my husband's favorite restaurant. We liked our meal as much as we always do. Our son tried something for the first time since we were in Belgium but he didn't like it. Service was good.
